My friend, all legends have their own "Hall of Fame" and we respect them all they are known for, irrespective of whether it is Thar, Gurkha, Gypsy, Jimny, and now ROXX 😊👋 Like there is no way, we compare Sachin with Lara or Dhoni knowing they are the legends.

Great video. I have bought a jimny too recently when Maruti Suzuki offered discounts in December 2023. My variant is Alpha MT kinetic yellow dual tone. I've driven it around 9k kms and this is what I feel about this car:- Pros: 1. Very capable off roader. Earlier I was driving 4x2 where sometimes I had to struggle during off roading but off roading in jimny feels way way easier. 2. Compact car. Maneuvering on narrow roads not an issue. 3. Suspension is really good. 4. Body roll over is almost non-existent. 5. Less road presence makes your car look different and with some modifications, people will keep checking out your car. 6. Boot space is adequate. U can put sufficient luggage if u want to go on a trip. 7. Five door system makes it highly practical. Ones who have used 3 door system on gpysy and thar would understand how tedious and uncomfortable it is to sit in the rear seats. Due to this reason, jimny can actually be used as a primary car. 8. Best 4x4 at this price. Heard it was available for 12 lakhs on road in July 2024,makes me feel a bit cheated but great offer and a correct price if u ask me for this vehicle. If u can get the alpha MT spec around 12 lakh, its a great VFM car then for 4x4 enthusiasts. Cons: 1. Rear seat belt alarm is annoying. (Fixed it by detaching the bus couplers below rear seats.) 2. Gearbox is stiff initially and may take time to adjust. 3. Stock tyres and the front grill give a bad look to this car imo. Stock tyres are really thin. From the front, car looks like a toy due to this very reason. Upgrade if possible. Side profile of this car looks great though. 4. This car feels underpowered. No matter what others say, this car won't compete with many on the highways. This might be a factor to many who like to drive fast. There's a lag in acceleration. Overtaking in this vehicle will need a bit of getting used to. 5. Turning radius is a bit more. U can even say a lot more. 6. Cabin space inside is not enough for big bulky guys. If you're a big guy, your arms will be touching the car door and also to the person sitting alongside you in the front. For skinny guys it's not an issue. Car is tall enough so there's enough space for your head also. 7. Under thigh support is not adequate in the rear seats. 8. This car doesn't have proper storage space for basic stuff like bottles, phones etc. It's really bothering. 9. It’s not a comfortable car for a family. Even if u have a family of 4, i would suggest going for something else if u don’t really care about the 4x4 feature it offers.
Great post Sir! But many of these things are debatable and does not mean you are wrong anywhere because I see it quite sensible but still debatable and you will see some glimpses in my upcoming videos. Thanks for commenting and support! 🙌✌️

I booked the jimny watching your last vedio. I am getting the car on road for 1280000 om road alpha variant without extended warranty and accessories, is this a good deal or still we can expect something better sir?
Nice color indeed! I would suggest negotiating a 6 years warranty and a few more accessories if not a thunder kit. You will surely get something extra Sir 😀. Happy buying, feel free to ask as many questions as you have. I will be happy to assist you. 👍
@@MashofreaksAuto Actually I just rechecked, my landing price is approx 11.80 Lakh on road for Manu Grey. Your vedio certainly helped me sort out the battle between my brain and heart, glad I listened to my heart. Certainly this vehicle is not just meant to drive, but to make you smile.
Awesome Joshi sahab, midhai to banti hai ab. The brain most of the time spoils relationships but your heart made that with Jimny. Keep supporting me by sharing and spreading my content. Thanks 👍
Maruti surely needs to learn how to market from you, and i totally agree on every point on Jimny you said...They have done whole lot of stupidity on marketing front!! Jimny overall is a great vehicle for fun and enjoyment - just very reliable in every condition. Looking forward to easy performance mods you are talking about.

Qq - i bought mine in Mar - it is an AT . Recently did Spiti and while climbing through places like Kunzum or going to Dhankar i found that in D mode the car was gasping to climb(switched to manual and it was gone)...the roads were horribly dusty i thought may be the air filter is choking and hence the issue - have you experienced it ever....not sure if urs is MT or AT.
Joshi Sahab, this looks qq but it is more than that and let me try to explain it to you: I did those terrains numerous times, let me share my experiences and observations with you. When you were climbing to Dhankar you have notices these are more dry and harsh zone where you will see thinner oxygen level. After every few minutes you will feel like thirstly so your vehicle is for air. Climbing to Dhankar is nearly 3900m. And when you are climbing to KunzumLa it is too way high. If you remember when you crossed Losar a flat plateu which is is itself is around 4000m, this flat bed is even higher than RohtangLa. Losar is the place from where you start climbing to KumzumLa which is little less than 5000m and is a barron land. Bad roads and pothles on steep incline always leads to loss of momentum. So climbing to those hights give very less oxygen/air to your vehicle which is safe to assume you have to reduce car gears to one level down than normal. It is a normal behaviour whether it is MT or AT however both behaves little differently. BTW, you did the right thing to shift it to 2 & L mode. To know about power & torque difference of MT and AT, I would suggest you to watch these couple of videos: Power & Torque of Jimny: ruclips.net/video/tjqZdj3j5LY/видео.html AT vs MT gearbox: ruclips.net/video/vOUXHRhJAbc/видео.html Feel free to reach out to me for any further questions or feedback. Thanks! 😊👍
@@MashofreaksAuto thanks for your response - so my guess was right - let me follow up my last with a supplementary - do u think adding a snorkel (functioning one) would help in such cases. On a side note I must congratulate you for coming up with very informative content.
Many thanks, I will keep on trying whatever I can. 🙏 Well, honestly speaking, adding a snorkel is not going to improve anything significantly and will also have some shortfalls as well. Please mind that this is a Naturally Aspirated engine so there are a few more choking points rather than just how air entered in ducts at the first step. Shortly, you will see some more in-depth and detailed content on the NA engine. I did up to 6000m with the NA engine and they are the most reliable. The beauty of this car is, irrespective of how slow or fast it goes but it does its job. I am going to make a few more videos which will be answering many of such questions Joshi Sahab! Keep on asking and I am glad to answer. Also, if you like, help to spread the content within interested folks. Thanks 👍
@@MashofreaksAuto oh absolutely will do. This 6000 MTR you did was it with you alone or were there pax - my worry is that I generally travel with 2 or 3 adults and have luggage too...planning some more off beat next year - hope I will be able to sail through even if the speed is a little slow 👍.
@suniljoshi5935 Do not worry, it will take you through. I did most of my trip with more than the full load. Many things are loaded on carriers and boot etc. Stock tires are the key, with bigger tires it will struggle a little bit more. Let me know whenever you make the trip, I have a lot to share if needed. Thanks for your support! 😊🙏

Please do discuss how jimnys power to weight is better than its competetors... and whats the maximum weight that can be put on it while still being better than the competetors
Thanks for your response, I will talk about this in detail in a dedicated video which is to take a bit of time because I am currently working on 4-5 other videos on Jimny. Please stay tuned, this is already on my list. Thanks 👍
Most welcome and thanks for supporting. You can get similar hooks in Suzuki but not the same. Suzuki hooks are with flexible and movable ring hooks. The one I have I bought from Amazon which suits me better. If you want I can share the Amazon link. BTW I bought both Suzuki and Amazon. There will be my next video on Saturday on the Jimny launch. Please stay tuned. Thanks 👍👋
Well, there is nothing specific about the Jimny 5 door boot. There is a need to find a generic or universal net which suits it. You will surely find out something which you can tie with these luggage bolts. You may also use short bungee cords. I will let you know if I find something. Appreciate you to spread my content if you enjoyed it. Thanks 👍
Well, CNG is not a variant suitable for any Offroad vehicle. I don't think it will be there. It will also increase the weight of the vehicle. Not worth.
This is a good question! Well, in cities only two occasions you will feel it bit struggling 1. A very tight and crowded streets and you need to turn 2. Second u-turns so you will be taking a longer circle. Once you are used to it, it will not hurt you much. Also, if you are buying mainly for cities then I would suggest going for AT not MT. Probably by next or next to next you will see a buying comparison. If you want to know more about turning radius, watch this video: ruclips.net/video/_bJ__UEKnRM/видео.html
@@MashofreaksAuto thanks for your prompt reply! I am worried about the turning radius . Currently drive a Brio with a radius of 4.5M and Honda engine. My main work is in city and occasionally highways

My Dear friend, before I really answer your question: Firstly, I need to understand why you are interested in buying this vehicle despite there are many other vehicles in the market for highways and ghats. I booked Jimny last month but cancelled the booking after knowing some real problem . One of the major issue is the propeller shaft touching the cross member. Which is a serious flaw and can lead to awful future agony. Unfortunately Maruti so-far not addressed this issue. Too many users have complaint but in vain.
Okay, I agree with you however it is prone to serious offloading if you do that regularly then it is surely a concern. There are few unofficial workarounds but not recommended and tested specially with new vehicles nobody wants to do that. Owners must have a common forum and should raise this collectively with Suzuki.
@@MashofreaksAuto My friend staying in Sikkim also have this problem, detected in first service. In his one month of ownership he has not done any off roading, not even mild one. With 4 passengers on board if driven in an incline, the grinding noise comes and it touches. Thank god he detected it before my jimny delivery, so that I could cancel the booking. He heard about after market solutions, but it will alter the dynamics of the car.
The world over people lift their Jimny’s, and a part of that lift kit is a cross member drop that creates a gap between the propeller and the cross member. This can be had in India for 3k. In my opinion, don’t make this a reason to deprive yourself of the Jimny.
Anurag ji, just to add on if you find that useful. Propeller shaft touching with cross member during offraod condition is not an issue with 3 door Jimny. It's mainly with 5 doors because without changing much dynamics and parts Suzuki increases the length so there is a lesser angle and space left between the two. Hope, you will find this valuable.
Maruti should learn from you.
Major reason for sales struggle is incorrect marketing. They should project jimny the way you have.

Thanks Roshan ji, I am glad you are enjoying "Jimny Cookbook Series" videos. 😊👍
Will you please help me with your location so I could suggest you better? Just location not address 😀
@@MashofreaksAuto somewhere close to solan/ shimla ?
Well, there is nothing close to Solan, possibly CHD, otherwise Gurgaon. The best is Gurgaon I guess. Connect me over email if you like. Thanks.
golu bhaiya...you are a good presenter
I try my level best, thank you! 😊👍
Love you bro...!! keep sharing... I am sure people arer going to love your work...! Jimney in India is unfortunately a much misunderstood vehicle.. (Multiple reasons...!😊)... thanks to the wrong approach by suzuki India people...! I too waited for a painfuly long period... but got my Alpha AT in Dec 23... with some discount 😊 ... Its a Fantastic vehicle, in fact a cute and capable companion...!
Many thanks for the humongous support and the kind words. My next video I am working on surely gives insight on the misunderstood vehicle and for multiple reasons. You will see that detailed video next Saturday. Research work takes lots of time.
Your comments are invaluable. Keep supporting, sharing my content. Thanks again. 👍
I booked the jimny watching your last vedio. I am getting the car on road for 1280000 om road alpha variant without extended warranty and accessories, is this a good deal or still we can expect something better sir?
Sir, is this manual or automatic?
@@MashofreaksAuto Manual, Grey Color!
MannSingh ji, I treat this comment as a reward to my work! Thanks for commenting and supporting.
You rightly said on marketing front. Jimny is mishandled kid from Suzuki almost in all fronts. If you get a chance also watch the video on the same topic:

Also, help to spread the content if you also like it.
In "Jimny Cookbook Series", the next video is on cost cutting done by Suzuki and going forward you will see many such content. Thanks 👍
Thanks again my friend.
NICE DISCUSSION
Thanks and many more to come, please stay tuned.
A genuine video❤.
Thanks for watching and supporting! There are two more videos in "Jimny Cookbook Series" playlist and many more in-line to be published. 😊👋
यह भी उतना ही तार्किक वीडियो है जितना कि,"जिम्नी क्यों नहीं खरीदें"था।
Hat's off brother ❤❤
जी भाई साहब, I tried my level best to start with.
Many thanks brother 🙏🎉❣️
Qq - i bought mine in Mar - it is an AT . Recently did Spiti and while climbing through places like Kunzum or going to Dhankar i found that in D mode the car was gasping to climb(switched to manual and it was gone)...the roads were horribly dusty i thought may be the air filter is choking and hence the issue - have you experienced it ever....not sure if urs is MT or AT.
Joshi Sahab, this looks qq but it is more than that and let me try to explain it to you:
I did those terrains numerous times, let me share my experiences and observations with you.
To know about power & torque difference of MT and AT, I would suggest you to watch these couple of videos:

@@MashofreaksAuto thanks for your response - so my guess was right - let me follow up my last with a supplementary - do u think adding a snorkel (functioning one) would help in such cases. On a side note I must congratulate you for coming up with very informative content.
Many thanks, I will keep on trying whatever I can. 🙏
Well, honestly speaking, adding a snorkel is not going to improve anything significantly and will also have some shortfalls as well.
Sir ye roof rack while driving noise karta h kya, if yes then what’s the solution
No it is not. Bilkul Awaaz nahi karta. Fitting kay issue ho sakte hain. Vaise bhi, glass kholkar to sab awaze aati hain. Agar glass band karke awaaze aati hai to issue roof rack ka nahi but kanhi aur hai. Make sense?
Please do discuss how jimnys power to weight is better than its competetors... and whats the maximum weight that can be put on it while still being better than the competetors
Thanks for your response, I will talk about this in detail in a dedicated video which is to take a bit of time because I am currently working on 4-5 other videos on Jimny. Please stay tuned, this is already on my list. Thanks 👍

Thanks, especially for the luggage hook functionality. The Maruti Suzuki website doesn't explain their genuine accessories.
Thanks 👍👋
@@MashofreaksAuto Thanks. Also, would like to know about the luggage net, if possible.
Thanks 👍
It's Indian 2... what about CNG varient...
Well, CNG is not a variant suitable for any Offroad vehicle. I don't think it will be there. It will also increase the weight of the vehicle. Not worth.
Can this jimny be used as your only city car for daily use? Turning radius of 5.7M is very high !
This is a good question!
Well, in cities only two occasions you will feel it bit struggling
1. A very tight and crowded streets and you need to turn
2. Second u-turns so you will be taking a longer circle.
Once you are used to it, it will not hurt you much.
Also, if you are buying mainly for cities then I would suggest going for AT not MT.
Probably by next or next to next you will see a buying comparison.
If you want to know more about turning radius, watch this video:
ruclips.net/video/_bJ__UEKnRM/видео.html
@@MashofreaksAuto thanks for your prompt reply! I am worried about the turning radius . Currently drive a Brio with a radius of 4.5M and Honda engine. My main work is in city and occasionally highways
I can understand, why you don't ask for a demo for around 20-30 km in the city. If you are not in a hurry then watch some of the upcoming videos that are going to give you more insight my friend.
Feel free to ask as many questions as you want. I will be glad to help you.
@@MashofreaksAuto is the AT version good? I am targeting 10.30L on road price for AT and of dealerships agrees only then else it is Not Worth it
@@MashofreaksAuto sir, I don’t need a 4x4. So why should I pay 2L extra and carry 90kgs extra weight in my car. I am happy with 4x2 but they don’t have it. For city 4x2 is best
Make a video on the accessories you have added on your Jimny
Not all accessories but the major Mods I will cover in 17th Aug Video. Stay Tuned! 👍
Sir I have seen both videos
Should I buy or not
Not able to decide
I am planning to buy as highway vehicle especially ghats and long drive
Kindly suggest
My Dear friend, before I really answer your question:
Firstly, I need to understand why you are interested in buying this vehicle despite there are many other vehicles in the market for highways and ghats.
Secondly, what is your maximum budget.
Lastly, is there any specific affinity or your likes towards this Jimny?
After understanding these, I will be able to assist you better Sir!
Hope, you understand! 😊👍
@@MashofreaksAuto
Sir my affinity and likes are it is a best car for city as well as long drive
There are many other cars but they don't serve when going to long distance as roads in most of the places in South India are damaged 3/4th of a year and the ponds on roads are not suitable for regular cars
Budget I am planning for 90% loan sir
It is a King for off-road and reasonably good for highways. Because you like it too so it will serve the purpose.
But only with the best discounts. All the best!
Please feel free to ask any questions you have, thanks 👍
@@MashofreaksAuto thank you for taking time and replying 😀👌

Vikrant ji, a humongous appreciation! I try my level best! 👍
Thanks again for the motivational message. 😀✌️🙌
You are correct
Thank you very much Shashi Sahab 😊👍
So true, you may connect me through mashofreaks@gmail.com, if I will have some update will let you know about it.
Hi namaskar sir, I am looking to buy used jimny car, please let me know if you know someone who is selling jimny
Namaskar Shivraj ji, which city are you in?
@MashofreaksAuto I am from haldwani, uttarakhand
