    I'm pondering if an image of the stressor on the left side may activate the right hemisphere, while the left hemisphere can rationally contemplate the solution. Cunning!

    I guess I took this too literally, let my hand "float" like a ballon... by 3 minutes in it's all could feel 😂

    • @Reverihealth

      The great thing about the floating hand induction is you can take the instructions as you like. It's a method used to symbolise a feeling of lightness and buoyancy!

    Thanks for doing this video. I'm a bay area native, but live in Hong Kong now. Been seeing Christine Deschemin for a few sessions who runs a practice there. We did this exact exercise yesterday. All to help me deal with my anxiety (eyefloater for a few months now). Been really diving into hypnotherapy, and I'm anxious to learn anything that can help make my life easier. Love everything I've heard you say on the topic. I'll look into downloading the app. Cheers Doc.

      Hands can sometimes float in different ways. For some of us they float up high, whereas others it's more of a feeling of lightness. Please let me know how you get on with the app!

      Many in this country, including myself, survive solely on social security income, are unable to afford the app. At least Sam Harris has a scholarship program, since he recognizes this. I’d appreciate it if Dr Spiegel would consider something like that. Or he can continue to withhold this valuable treatment from those of us who need it the most.

    I wonder what the point of lifting the arm or hand is? I have pain when I do that and wonder if it is essential.

    • @Reverihealth
      @Reverihealth  3 месяца назад

      The arm levitation is a useful but not necessary means of testing your ability to use hypnosis to induce a change in sensation and movement. You could try a different action that doesn’t induce pain, e.g. raising your hand rather than your arm, feeling your head drift backwards, or something else. You might also find value in using the 'pain program' in the Reveri app to try using hypnosis to reduce the pain in your arm.
      Kind regards,
      D.S

      Thank you for your comment and for sharing your personal challenges. Unfortunately however, it isn't advised to give out medical advice on RUclips or any other social media platform. If you're experiencing panic attacks, intense emotional stress and issues with your breathing, we strongly advise you speak to a doctor, in person.
