If I remember correctly, there's a QR code on the inside of the box or on some leaflet included in the box that redirects you directly to where the Mimo App is.
DJI is a software hellscape. You can't fly a DJI drone until it has GPS and sends the info to DJI servers. The alternatives are better than the constant demand for personal info.
I share your annoyance with DJI's registration process. There are a number of products on the market now that will not work out of the box unless they are first registered on line with the manufacturer and have the latest firmware downloaded. My first encounter with this problem was with the Cardo helmet communicators. You have to scan a QR code. If you don't have a smart phone and connection to the internet, the product cannot be made to work, but of course, this is not revealed to the buyer until after the purchase is made. It should be stated on the box and the manufacturer's website that a prerequisite for use of the product is availability of a smart phone and internet access. I am thinking of contacting my congressman and suggesting the US Federal Trade Commission enact rules that require full pre-purchase disclosure by manufacturers of any prerequisite requirements for use of the product with appropriate civil penalties for non-compliance.
Thanks for comment. I don't mind registering a product to ensure any warranty is effective however to actually use the purchased product was very surprising.
This is nothing new with DJI. You register everything. I’ve never had an issue. I do however run apple stuff. Not sure if identical apple/DJI packaging and city in china has anything to do with it. If you want to be suspicious, be suspicious of that. lol. Once you get into it you will love it!! I’ve had mine 2 years and have nothing but beautiful footage :)

Yep it's vanished (The mimo app) and they did not even bother to reply why when you contact them.
I had to get the APK just like as you mentioned too.
great setup, great bikes, smooth video, nice review.
What do you do for a living?
Hi thanks for the comments. What do I do? I'm in service management.
Helmet mount for forward shots... :)
Thanks for comment. It's on the list. My ST has an extra tall screen so will be in shot..
