New Furygan Land DK Gloves
In this video I unwrap my new gloves ready for first ride. It's time to replace my aging Revit gloves with a freshly Christmas delivered pair of Furygan Land DK winter gloves.
Picked these based on duck down filling and being a fan of Furygan gloves so happy to give them a try.
Will feedback how I get on as we move into the colder stages of UK Winter.
Will be commuting on the ST1300 which does have heated grips so palm insulation thickness could be an issue. It should bed down over time. Will see how we get on with and without grip heating.
I will add some close up pics of the gloves to my channel page as a post.

Great to get this project moving. Changing the discs is straightforward. As is splitting and installing seals in calipers. Hard part is bleeding the system.

Caliper pistons causing excessive pad rub on this side. Original seals were not leaking after 21 years but overdue an overhaul.

Hi, 3. Sets.😲. I noted that wear limit is 4.5mm. Honda OEM is 4mm.. my cost saving in picking up ebc may not be worthwhile saving if they don't last... Time will tell .. thanks for watching 😀

Hi. Thanks for asking. Yes and no. Last resort and a visit to local garage turned no results other than a bill for labour and lots of head scratching. Fixed with use of the original now flat tab washer (minus tabs) being used as shim to raise the top yoke 1mm and it's fixed...

Hi thanks for asking. I stuck with stock exhaust. It gives a decent rumble when riding along. It's at idle I like it least. When I consider the cost of upgrade vs time stood still it seems less of a worthwhile investment...

This is nothing new with DJI. You register everything. I’ve never had an issue. I do however run apple stuff. Not sure if identical apple/DJI packaging and city in china has anything to do with it. If you want to be suspicious, be suspicious of that. lol. Once you get into it you will love it!! I’ve had mine 2 years and have nothing but beautiful footage :)

Mimo is probably a 1GB cyber warfare app, when WW3 breaks out they're gonna explode all the LiPo batteries in every smartphone they infected. At the very least it's a 1GB spyware, since it wants permissions for everything on your phone, from location to photos, contacts and whatever else may be there. That should be forbidden by law, since for the activation (which is dubious from the start) 1MB would be more than enough, no one can tell me they need a 1GB app for that. They also restrict 3rd party batteries with their firmware like the printer manufacturers did with their ink cartridges, for the price of 1 of their batteries you would get 3 or 4 on the free market 🤡

  • @TravellerChris
    @TravellerChris 9 месяцев назад

If I remember correctly, there's a QR code on the inside of the box or on some leaflet included in the box that redirects you directly to where the Mimo App is.

DJI is a software hellscape. You can't fly a DJI drone until it has GPS and sends the info to DJI servers. The alternatives are better than the constant demand for personal info.

Old news you'll likeley be on old stock given the OA4 is the latest Action hence the box stating you can get the app from the Store. Originally Mimo was available on the Play Store, since then Google/DJI has disagreed over somehting re Mimo which is strange as Apple are ok with the software, Samsung's store hosts the app also so it's direct APK download from DJI or your phone manufacturers store (if they have one)

I share your annoyance with DJI's registration process. There are a number of products on the market now that will not work out of the box unless they are first registered on line with the manufacturer and have the latest firmware downloaded. My first encounter with this problem was with the Cardo helmet communicators. You have to scan a QR code. If you don't have a smart phone and connection to the internet, the product cannot be made to work, but of course, this is not revealed to the buyer until after the purchase is made. It should be stated on the box and the manufacturer's website that a prerequisite for use of the product is availability of a smart phone and internet access. I am thinking of contacting my congressman and suggesting the US Federal Trade Commission enact rules that require full pre-purchase disclosure by manufacturers of any prerequisite requirements for use of the product with appropriate civil penalties for non-compliance.

Thanks for comment. I don't mind registering a product to ensure any warranty is effective however to actually use the purchased product was very surprising.

I am against the mandatory registration and wouldn't mind if they had an APK and it was on the Google Play store. I got the care package, so registration didn't irk me as much. I installed the APK without drama. It was pretty straight forward. Neither Google nor DJI have elaborated on why it isn't on the Play Store. DJI quote "Google Play technical adjustments". I read Google announced a while back that app developers will have to ensure their apps are packaged as bundles (AAB) rather than the standard APK. According to a DroneDJ reader, DJI’s SDK has a bug that prevents it from compiling in this new AAB standard. Also read... the more suspicious aspects of the app is that it can install any application on the user’s device through either a self-update feature or a dedicated installer provided by China’s Weibo social media giant. Both could download code from outside of the Play Store, an aspect of their design that directly violates Google’s policies. It is on the Apple store, though, and they appear stricter than Google Play Store.
