Today I show you how to make a 4 color spiral the easy way.
You may have tried these before and it just didn't make sense - well, now it will!
I have done all of the math for you to make it coaster size, or a giant round blanket size or we can make it into a Granny Square. I even show you how. This little project is so versatile, you are going to love it.
Just pick your four favorite colors and go!
I promise, it will make sense coming from me.

I love this concept and your teaching but, as I make the spiral larger, there are gaps between the double crochets. Is there a tip for closing those gaps or another stitch that would not produce gaps as the spiral grows? Thanks.
Hi! I have never had any gap issues with this design Allen, so I am not sure how to answer you. Perhaps a smaller hook might do the trick, to make tighter stitches.

Do the corners still have the same pattern if the spiral is bigger?
The corners should still carry the pattern, but the stitch count in-between increase. Hope that answers your question! Bethany
Oooo the purple is pretty! I have a shawl I was trying to make from a mystery Cal and it’s an epic fail! I’m frogging it and going to try this eventually. It’s four colors but hadn’t used the 5th color. It’s fall blaahh colors and not pleasant colors for me.
Would it be possible for you to add some time stamps for the beginning of each round? I tend to get lost in videos.😘
Hi Verna! I have brought up time stamps to that "Editor" of mine a few times now - he is always just so busy with my stuff and his, but I know he agrees it is a good idea. I will bring it up to him again...maybe if I tell him that it was you who asked it might motivate him to move that kind of thing closer to the top of the list...👍😉
