With this ONE technique you can create 2 unique granny square styles and depending on the colors you use, the patterns are endless. You can join many squares together or you can keep repeating the round until you build a complete blanket. No skewing! Can you tell that I'm really excited about this stitch? :) xx
I appreciate your tutorials so much. So clear. I have crocheted for years and the last 3 yrs I have been very ill. Recovering I couldn’t sew or crochet 😢. Now that I can crotchet again, not like 3 years ago, I got out my hooks & yarn & was at a loss😞. Found you and your tutorials & I am coming around!! Thank you❤️
I really like the way you explain what your demonstrating and what is al involved. 8 have been looking at other tutorials that don't start from the beginning so I am left wondering how far do I go and 2hat stitch as m I doing and so on and so on. I wish others would understand that in order I get the right technique you must show from the very beginning. Thank you for helping those of us who want a proper lesson on certain stitches. I really appreciate your time.and effort.
Thank you for the PERFECT instructions; even someone like me could execute this very well, with your video and instructions!! One thing: could you possibly PLEASE do another video, for the spiral pattern?
This is so great thank You; I have made and joined 2x 2 round granny squares and making a rectangle granny spiral. Going fine now . I was struggling at first as I did not take note of the intrsuctions that you make squares larger by repeating round 3 5 steps. I did wonder what I was doing wrong for a while but all good now :)
Hai Roz I love today's lesson. I have used up my scraps to make bags and stuff , but not to make a spiral for blanket or throw . This is definitely a must try for me love 💘love love it . I see the boys are chilling out . Hope you get your computer fix in a timely manner . Have a great day.
You have been a lifesaver for me 😅 I have been looking around for something different to do with my left over yarn from a granny square blanket i made for my new born nephew. I wanted it to be complementary to the blanket i already made, and this would be absolutely perfect! Thankyou!!! ♥️
Cool beans. I tried something like this in2014...needless to say I cock a doodled it up but good...I am gooing to try it again following your instruction❤
I really love the look of this but it would make me crazy to actually make them. I'll just admire YOUR work and I'll stick with less fiddly patterns. Hahaha
I've seen this square on Pinterest and couldn't even begin to figure out how to work it. Your directions are so great... HOWEVER...I would love it if you'd do more rounds. I was able to work my square as far as yours but after that I was confused as to where to go from there. Any chance you would do both square designs through at least twice as many rounds? I'd so appreciate it. Or do you have a written pattern with pictures that might help?
Thank you - no, I doubt I’ll do a larger square because I tried my best to explain the process in this video. I believe you’ll get it if you rewatch the second portion . I had to do this many times myself to figure it out and it suddenly “clicked” . I know it will for you too. 💕
Did you happen to do a tutorial on how to do the third row? Because then that will set me for doing the rest of them. I know you’re explaining but I am a visual learner.
If you keep repeating the same sequence as you see in the video it will turn into a big blanket. I don’t plan on making a bigger version of this square in the near future, I’m sorry. 💕
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find one , I figured it out on my own. Use the colors in the order I show you in the picture and use the tips I shared and you’ll get it 💗
I love this pattern but I cannot get it right, I can complete the first 4 sides but at the end of the second round I have the ends of 2 colours, please can someone put me on the right track. Barbara.
I would recommend that you work the small square with me first so that you understand how to make the sides , then you can watch at the end “spiral pattern” where I number it for you to see how to do the 2 colors . Yes, it is a complicated pattern.

I just totally hate to change colors so often.
😆 yes , not ideal if you don’t like changing colors 💕
This is very cool love it thank you

I just love all your tips.... I'm looking to crochet THE LORD'S PRAYER... PLEASE ❤️🙏
Love both patterns!!❤. Would you be open to a full tutorial on the spiral pattern?
If I get more requests for it , I would be happy to. 💕
I really love the look of this but it would make me crazy to actually make them. I'll just admire YOUR work and I'll stick with less fiddly patterns. Hahaha
Hahaha I get that 😂
Super cool 😎
really cool pattern!
Thank you! 💗
Thanks
Would you PLEASE make a video of the spiral pattern - PLEASE??
I've seen this square on Pinterest and couldn't even begin to figure out how to work it. Your directions are so great... HOWEVER...I would love it if you'd do more rounds. It would be really nice if you redo one and complete a log cabin granny square. Thanks
I love that but I probably would get all twisted😂
With the spiral, do you have to finish off and rejoin or can you carry on without cutting same colour yarn?
I would recommend you try and see how you like it.
Did you happen to do a tutorial on how to do the third row? Because then that will set me for doing the rest of them. I know you’re explaining but I am a visual learner.
Sorry if this didn’t help you , I tried my best to explain and show how to continue on with each version. ❤️
@@PlayHookywithMe well I’m just gonna have to watch it over and over again until I finally understand. I love this spiral technique.
Please show ful design.how to make large square I this pattern🙏🙏🙏
If you keep repeating the same sequence as you see in the video it will turn into a big blanket. I don’t plan on making a bigger version of this square in the near future, I’m sorry. 💕
❤
I love the 2 and 3 color grannies. Is there a video that shows how to do these? I'm not smart enough to figure it out. Sorry.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find one , I figured it out on my own. Use the colors in the order I show you in the picture and use the tips I shared and you’ll get it 💗
@@PlayHookywithMe Thank you so much for answering so fast!!! I'll give it a try.
I love this pattern but I cannot get it right, I can complete the first 4 sides but at the end of the second round I have the ends of 2 colours, please can someone put me on the right track. Barbara.
Also redo the spiral one completely so I can visually see it I am a visual person and it would really help. Thanks
😳
Can i use 4 ply acrylic yarn? I want to make a blanket for my younger granddaughter who is 7
Absolutely! 👍🏻💕
Have you ever attempted this using 4 rows instead of 2? Hugs, Naomi xx
No, I haven’t but let me know if you do 👏🏻💕
I love the look of this but 8 extra ends per square?!? not a lover of end sewing so won’t be a blanket but maybe a cushion cover!
Great idea! 🤩
Why don’t you make a video with the 2 colors the pictures of which you have shown
I would recommend that you work the small square with me first so that you understand how to make the sides , then you can watch at the end “spiral pattern” where I number it for you to see how to do the 2 colors .
Yes, it is a complicated pattern.
Very complicated pattern
