Food for thought. I think when he pauses every other measure basically throughout he ends the last note on the snare using his right (high hat hand) hand hitting the fourth kick at the same time. Just like you're playing aroud 15:38 hittling the crash with your right hand. I think when no crash exists there he's hitting the snare instead with the same right hand. Just my take. Your videos are epic and are my go to for Bonham everything! Thanks for all you do!

@fuhkinay I checked the video... I address that fill (the 3:30 to which you're referring) at 24:00 in the video. I may have put it as occurring at a later point in the song than it does however..

@fuhkinay I definitely need to get & learn Audacity. Did I not address the 3:30 fill? I thought I did.

@bonzoleum Sounds like a lot of fun - hope you had a good one Terry! BTW, I love the groove you play around 21:44. Had a go at it earlier and it's trickier than it looks but a lot of fun when you get it and sounds pretty cool too.

I'd love to see you play a full Zeppelin song, no guitars or vocals, just the drums. Like an isolated track.

Great job as always Terry! Why don't you do a video on how Bonham tuned his studio Kick and Toms? You covered his snare tuning, which is also great.
    Cheers,
    Greg

Hi Terry! I was wondering if you have an instructional vid. on "Poor Tom" I've always been curious if your supposed to follow on the base drum excatly whats being done on the snare. Thnx!.

Great video as always Terry - they always make me a) want to listen to the original, and b), pick up my drum sticks :-)
Favourite part though is at 28:22, "Ya know I don't know. I wasn't sitting next to the guy when he recorded it". Classic. Also, you really nail that fill around 24:40, awesome.
How you getting on with the iMac?

Very cool. One of my favorite Zep tunes. However I don't think you talked about the slight hi-hat releases Bonham does. It really adds to the song. Also, there is the most tasty fill at about 3:30 in the song. I've listened to it over and over when I first learned this song about 18 years ago and I think it goes (forgive my crummy notation) BD-SD-SD-BD-FT-BD-SD-SD-BD-SD(flam). I've found that Audacity is a great tool for dissecting drum parts. You can slow down parts & then correct the pitch.
