- Well, this is it. I'm tapping out... 3S run wreck!!!
Ejected the GPS
The GPS ejected it's battery.... no clue what it hit (other than the dirt & grass).
No official run video
Not sure what the speed was, I do know I hit 59 MPH on the road with the 2S
I would like to hear what you all think the speed was...
The car rolled for about @ 100 feet, we counted at least 13 parking spots, each parking spot is 9.5 feet wide.
It drifted to the right and left the ground before it even hit the dirt.

Some of you know what I say about speed, for those that don't know...
Speed can be fun but you break more parts and cost you more money.

Thanks Fil, all parts are "off the shelf" stuff, I just wish I had a speed to go with it... Who knows, maybe someday I'll get a wild hair up my ass and try again, just so I know what it can do. However, I have always said, "Speed is fun but you break more parts and that costs you more money". Thanks for letting me try!!!!

@@poorboysrc The body is the best part for me, the chassis is the same set up I use for touring car racing (other than the motor & gearing).
I wonder if I'll make into the TT01/TT02 "Wipe-Out Compilation" LOL
OMG, Brother! That thing was moving! Looked like 80+ mph to me!!! Sorry about the damage, I think the thing turned into an aeroplane at that speed! Awesome show, all the same! Take care my good friend! 😬😬👍👍

It's like I always say, "Speed is fun but it breaks more parts faster and cost more money". I will run this set up again just to satisfy my own curiosity of how fast it can go (maybe hit a fresh strip on 490) LOL Nothing really broke, the diff covers had cracks from day one (2 years ago) but this is my parking lot touring car chassis and I don't wanna kill it.... As that's what speed does. Thanks for watching man!!!
Man to say you were flying is an understatement!! That was nuts and I am very sorry stuff got busted. I will look to see what parts I have on hand, I don't know if I have the diff covers or not... I know I have some parts trees but not sure which ones! That was epic but not the finish you were looking for...
No worries Addam, as I always say "speed is fun but stuff breaks faster & costs more money" They were cracked from day one (the front one) I might of had too much grease on the screws. I been eye balling these alloy units for months but at @ $80 bucks.... Hmmm I just don't know...

Yeah, that kinda ended it for me... I don't mind sh!t breaking "As Long As I Get To My Goal" But, I got nothing out of this other than it's fast, I just don't know how fast..

If there is anything left , would be happy to see you brushed. :) Man, that body turned into a parachute. It just opened up, I put slots in my beater body to help with that. We have another month to go.
Thanks Paul!!! Although I do have a few vintage brushed motors and a few low turn ones at that. I also have vintage ESC's with no motor limits and pushing over a 100 amps, I don't have any NiMh packs (I have a 7 cell stick pack for my trucks). As for the body, yeah, it did. It's a Proline Protoform body for touring cars and it's really thin, hence, its very light. The body wasn't meant for such speeds.. Back in the 90's & 2000's they did make "speed" bodies, for about 2 0r 3 years, hitting crazy speeds was a craze. Now getting on about the guys using Amazon "TT-01" chassis cars... Fil stated TAMIYA TT01 or TT02, Those Amazon chassis ARE NOT Tamiya... To me and a lot of other guys, those should be disqualified. If I do another run with this car, it will be for me to just know how fast it could go, and If I did, I might even record it.
Hi Bob. Really sorry about all the damage but as you say speed can be fun but is more often very painful. At least you weren't in the car and you can mend it at some point. All the best dudester.
Was only the diff covers (where the damper stay bolts on) but they cracked when I built the car 2 years ago... Our best guess is, the car was doing 80 something.... An alloy set of covers are @ $80 USD.. A parts tree or 2 is @ 20 bucks....

I figured the 6900kv on 3s would get it airborne. Definitely impressive run though.
The car started to drift right and I was giving it some left wheel, the body is very thin and I think air got into the wheel opening and the body just parachuted, hence, the back flip... was fun to watch though!!!
@@UncleBobsRC 100% that crash appears to be downforce at the rear combined with air under the front or through the wheel openings pulling it up.

Uncle Bob, you had that TT02 burning up the road. I'm sorry to hear that you have to stop at such a promising run. Hopefully you can do it again next time. I pretty sure that pass was over 70mph maybe 75mph the way it flew by before the body caught air and took flight. 😭😭

Thanks Craig, but I'm calling it quits. Already blew out the diff covers where the damper stay screws go in, through the top of the covers not just pull the screws out, the covers cracked. Any guess on its speed?

Man, I was giving it left wheel to try to stay center road, like a teenage daughter, it did not listen (I had 4 of those). On 2S it did hit 59mph, I did not post that video however, MadmustangRC was there, he seen and I do have the video. The Blow-Over was on 3S but no MPH (KPH) to show.

LOL, Too Funny James... I used a bit too much nitrous with dual 200mm turbo kits, It's got a Keith Black Hemi from the 70's also used is a 871 Super Charger, Isky solid roller cam with 3/4 lift and .80 duration with a separation 120 degrees... LMAO

OMG that thing was FLYING! I thought i was fast until i saw that. WOWSERS! How fast was it going? It was at least 65 or more right? I wiped out at 64 MPH and mine didn't rip past like that.

No worries guys, it's tough keeping up with all the videos. The diff covers were cracked from day one when I built the car, the crash pulled the damper stay screws through the tops (front diff cover) not out but through the tops. It's an easy fix and I have to other TT02 kits here I could have taken the parts from or, I looked at alloy units bur at @ $80 USD, I'm thinking 2 parts trees is far cheaper. I put that car together from things I had sitting around, the chassis is my touring car racer, motor & esc was just sitting in a bin. the body I bought just for the speed run, it's very thin and light (probably why it parachuted). As for the speed, That's why I asked what everyone though cause to me, it looked like 75 plus mph.

These TT02 chassis are light at the front at the best of times, combine that with a light body that passing air will get up into and there's only one way it's going!! 🤣
