I’m a casual soulslike player. I’ve tried a few, but I couldn’t maintain interest long enough to finish them except for Mortal Shell. The first LOTF was one the games I tried and I actually liked it, that’s one of the reasons I’m really excited for the sequel. The gameplay, atmosphere and character design is really roping me in!
I WAS excited to play this....till I seen it's nothing like the previous one aside from the Souls-Like xp loss on death. Thanks for saving me however much they'll he charging for this. Literally none of the classes shown have any worthwile armours, you can roll more than a foot, none of the previous game's lore has anything to do with this world..."umbral realm" . Why make a sequel and not have anything to do with the previous title in ANY aspect from gameplay to the world? (ohwait, DS2) Best thing aboot LoTF was the fact it was purely slow-combat in heavy armours. "Clunky Souls" was WHY i loved it. You felt like you were wearing a full set of heavy armour and swinging around giant weapons. Now you've got *ALL* of the classes in fabric?! Guessing they got rid of the "shield on back blocks attacks from behind" mechanic, seeing as all the shields look like tiny little bucklers to kite-shields. I'll be sticking to the original and the Surge series if i want Knockoff-Souls.
Looks OK. Kind of sucks that blood doesn’t seem to land on characters and there doesn’t seem to be foliage physics as you pass through them. The splashed blood also seems to be 2D at times. I know they do this to get shiny graphics. Oh well :(.
I love lies of P but it went as a harder game than sekiro or elden ring for no good reasons. This looks amazing and also medieval style are my favorites. Ty for preview!!!
I'm still quite reluctant to play these games, even after Remnant II became something of an addiction. I think I'm generally missing the shooty feel here. 😅
Many spells that can be combined with each other, that work separately and can be applied to weapons, many types of bullets for crossbows and bows, even explosives... You learn spells from bosses and other enemies, and they have really powerful long-range attacks, and then you can use them yourself... and in Renmant 2, constant shooting is a bit tiring... I'm surprised myself how well and effectively they solved the long-range attack... My first thought was ..damn better than Remnant 2 :) Umbral's dead world has something of a cosmic horror feel to it... so what weapons and long-range spells can be found later in the game?
never played a dark souls game or dark souls like but I like rpgs, and always been a fan of Melle dodge and parry combat like assassins creed. not sure if its like that but ima give it a go. cant wait to max this bitch out on my rtx 4080.
Why cant games like this be made for anyone to play. I will never 'git gud' not ever. Believe me ive tried. But i want to play games like this. It sucks
They are. I think... I'm a souls vet but I'm not just going to tell you to git gud. If you're having a hard time look up some beginner guides and the wiki helps a lot. Then it's just a matter of having patience. Most souls games are based on choreography- hit, roll, run. Don't go hollow my guy.
Yeah I’m also really sick of long ass blown out games it’s just to much and unnecessary. A bigger/longer game dose not make it better. I think a solid 8/10Hrs is more than enough.. also shorter games means better quality and faster development, AND you’ll have more time to play other games.. unless they are boring and long too.. lol 😂 $70 bucks for an 8Hr is totally worth it, that’s about $10 Bucks an hour.
Bro what are u on about? Its a smaller game compared to Elden Ring. But the Content is more than Dark Souls 3 and u can expect a 60+ hour experience. The devs confirmed it.
I mean who cares why not copy something that's good and this actually has real coop in it so its already better then Elden ring and dark souls IMO not a fan at all of single player only games.
Sure... they copied... :) a unique, handcrafted visual artistic setting inspired by contemporary art, literature and cinematography with a unique two-world system and supporting subsystems. One thing is undeniable about the game - genre Souls was definitely inspired by it.
Since im spending $80 on this game, i pray to god that its a long one 😬 make it as long and beautiful as you want hexworks studio 🙏🏼 if i dont spend 80+hrs on this game ill be pissed at this point lol
*laughs in the "under 10 hour casual playthrough" time of the original LoTF....that gets all the secret items* Don't hold your breath for an Elden Ring length game.
Anyone else looking forward to this one? I’m a sucker for any soulslike so I’m DOWN

Most definetly cant wait to get hands on
Absolutely!! I cannot wait!!
The Mechs for the boss with the yellow lightening sword looks fairly easy
Looks fantastic, will be picking this up
I am waiting for this game. I am ready!
Excited to play this co-op with a friend, my fav way to play these games
Is this game easy like witcher or harder like sekiro, elden rings..?
thanks for this video ... i cant wait to play this , i need it now ! yeah ok the lies of p should do until it drops
Short and sweet is the move. Tell your story and be done. To hell with 1,000 tid bits to do that mean nothing.

I'm new to this style of games, what exactly does parry mean? And will this have dlss 3 or Nvidia frame generation?
Parry is what it says.
U parry an incoming attack and negate all dmg u would have taken in normal circumstances.
Like u would deflect a sword strike.
It will have DLSS 3, devs confirmed it on a dev stream
Parry is when you perfect block an enemy's attack, which can lead to a counter attack
“Very souls” is exactly what I wanted to know about the game. Guess I won’t be wasting my money.
2023 version perfect for autumn nights
I love lies of P but it went as a harder game than sekiro or elden ring for no good reasons.
This looks amazing and also medieval style are my favorites.
Ty for preview!!!
Same, this fantasy style fits way more my tastes than lies of p even though lies of p is really good
I found the souls games sort of frustrating 😅😅
Will i find this hard?
I thought this would be the appropriate place to mention that I finally got my DNF TAG Mug.
Im waiting for this one to REAP ALL SOULS

According to the devs, the blackfeather ranger can go full ranged if you want, idk how true that is though
Im ULTRA SUPER terrible at soulslikes. I promise you NO ONE is worse than i am. But dang it i want to play this game so bad
1440p? What glorious new age is this?
soul reaver was great i have been saying some 1 needs to remake blood omen in a soul style ARPG !
Say what? 0:20
i'll spin this right into my basket
Wait?... Did you say look as good as Demon souls on PS 5 ?.....??? Wowzers!!
Yes the graphics fidelity is better than Elden Ring
But the art direction and the beauty isnt as good as Elden Ring.

Don’t expect it to be easy jus sayin
I'm.getting it strictly because it has full coop only reason me and my friend didn't play elden ring was because the coop was garbage.
To be fair Elden Rings focus is the single player. Its not your average mmo rpg 😅.
A GIANT EGG
Lauds of the Derivitive.
Unnecessary comments. AWESOME!
Looks like a good spinning dog.

Hang on, so this ISN'T a FromSoft game?? These cheeky c**ts 😂
The original LoTF was the first big budget Souls-Like game.
@@Leotheleprachaunalso that was back then when the newest Fromsoft Game was Ds2 releasing in the same year as Loft

main reason for me is NO MORE 1V3 on invasions! 1v2 all day babyyyy!
"Why you should keep your expectations low with Lords of the Fallen". I fixed your click bait title for you.
“Souls like” Instant turn off
I think i prefer the original game
Pressing Copy + paste repeatedly must've been really taxing on the dev's fingers. Poor guys.
Copy paste what? The roll?
@@LordOfChaos.x this guy has the mentality of every game in a genre is copy paste, dont even bother...
I hate short games. Y would spend 70$ on a came u beat in 4 hrs. B a waste of money
One day you're gonna appreciate the small things. You must be young

Tbh yes. But after playing so many shitty copies of dark souls, I’m happy to play one which is actually good
well it’s called inspiration, and also it’s co op.
Plenty of mechanics to make it different
