What a cute baby!! The way he looks up at Samantha is adorable.
I was a child when this ep was new, but I remember those Playtex baby bottles Sam used to feed Adam...a vinyl-like bag fit inside the bottle, having no bottomside, and milk or formula was poured into it. After each use, the bag was thrown out, and the plastic bottle was washed. Those bags came in a box, I have no idea how many. They were supposed to create less gas/colic for the baby. I watched this show new, from 1964 to the final ep. This ep was hilarious. I wish the full eps were shown.
I remember we those bottles too, and the commercial that talked all about “less gas in baby’s tummy!” Of course now people would be horrified at putting the formula into plastic bags full of chemicals!

Actress Erin Murphy did not play Tabitha in the grown up series 'Tabitha', that was Lisa Hartman.
Lisa was way too old, Tabitha would have been 12 years old in 1977..

i read Erin Murphy fell off her bike and hurt her chin. Right then she had to make this scene for the episode. They had to change the script a little to address the bandage. Very interesting

I am surprised that Samantha did not have a talk with Darrin about how powerful Tabitha is. Imagine a child being able to create from thin air a completely independent a fully powered witch, never mind that it is a copy of Samantha. This is unheard of in Bewitched canon.

It's neat to think that cute little Tabatha now is a mother herself to six kids, she posts pictures, of them playing board games during the virus. If they ever do a sequel to bewitched, then Erin could be the grandmother. She has said she'd be open to doing another series of bewitched. I love these videos, even though I have the whole series, thanks to whoever posted these videos.

One of my favorites, especially the ending when Sam explained to Tabitha, again, reinforcing what she had told her at the end of SAMANTHA AND THE BEANSTOCK. She told Tabitha that she and her father have enough love for her and the new baby.
Hare, Sam tells her daughter that her time is taken up taking care of Adam because he's little ... Well, fans know what Sam told her and Tabitha's reaction, hugging her mother.
The episodes where Tabitha's feelings of jealously are shown, I'm sure, is what some kids feel when a new sibling is expected.
Or even more than one sibling, to make matters even worse.

I was born 3 years after my 2nd brother and apparently he was so jealous of me for years. Don’t blame him, I was timid, shy, always with my mom as scared of leaving her as in school I got picked on from nearly day one. I got lots of toys as the youngest. But we did play together from me aged 7 but he was still a bit jealous, after 25 years we got real close and he is my favourite person on the planet.
It's interesting to see a collection of Peanuts character dolls in Tabitha's bedroom - there's a Lucy doll on the chair, plus Charlie Brown, Linus, and another doll on the dresser. Bewitched aired on ABC, but the Peanuts animated specials aired on CBS. I wonder if there was some sort of marketing agreement between the two networks, or whether they just weren't as fussy about such things as they are today.
No Jeannie doll on Tabitha's room either. What a pity! 🧞♀️
I think they weren't as fussy about that. I don't remember that stuff being much of an issue until the 90s.
Tabitha ought to have known better than to try to fly before she had flying lessons- her mom and dad need to realize that they can't keep her out of the magical world forever!

And DARIN eventually did-when the Witches' Council gave him the choice of either allowing her and Adam access to the magical world-which would include sending her, and later Adam to a school of witchcraft when they each reached 11 years, -or giving her and Adam up for adoption.
The only question left then was-which school of magic would they attend?

Poor Dick York. They had absolutely no choice but to replace him. He had an old back injury from his movie days that began to flare up when making Bewitched. It got so bad that he was litterally unable to work anymore. That's the reason they replaced him.
The second Darrin, dick Sargent didn't have the humor like the first Darrin, Dick York.

They were using cloth diapers at that time.
Yeah, I was a baby about that time that was what they put me in. Mom had a delivery service that came and got the diaper pail and gave her fresh ones.

Erin Moran had fallen off her bike before this episode was filmed. She scraped her chin. Very clever of the writers to incorporate that incident, making it so that Tabitha had fallen while trying to fly.

Dick York was the best. Dick York and Elizabeth Montgomery had real chemistry that audiences could see from the beginning of the series. I'm glad Dick Sargent originally passed on the role of Darrin to do the ill-fated Broadside. Ratings for Bewitched dropped from #11 to #26 when Dick Sargent took over the role of Darrin in Season 6. Thankfully the original casting never happened; imagine Bewitched starring Tammy Grimes and Dick Sargent. Yeesh!

I could never STAND Tabitha. IDK but the whole character and actress use to grate on my nervers and look so fake. But yeah the issue is very real when a new baby comes along, have to make sure the other child gets mommy time.
