- Salute to various Screen Gems 60's sitcoms including Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, Gidget, The Flying Nun, The Monkees, and The Partridge Family. All characters are owned by Screen Gems. Fanimation animated by Craig Clark.
I love this! I'm a 70s child and I loved all of these shows in syndication when I was growing up.
Would you like to see an animated show with all of these characters?
Thanks! Did you see the pilot? ruclips.net/video/g0YH4XfJGdE/видео.htmlsi=7QYmF43iAyehQXxE
I was a child in the 1970's too, and i remember Bewitched, but i watched The Flintstones more! ha
Would you like to see a new animated version of this as a show?
Scooby Doo where are you😅@@deannavezina1941
I'm Japanese, and when I was a teenager, I watched "Bewitched," "I Dream of Jeannie," "The Monkees," and "The Flying Nun" in real time when they were broadcast in Japan (6 months to a year later than in the US). I still like songs like "The Monkees' Theme" and "Daydream Believer." That was 55 to 60 years ago. 😅
That's great, now Sony owns all those shows. I would love to animate them all together! Please let Sony know! Thank you!
@@tmesa Thank you for your reply. "Bewitched" was rebroadcast until last year. I recorded it all on Blu-ray. I have no connection with Sony, but I appreciate the information.
Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, and the Flying Nun are the Holy Trinity of my childhood sitcoms.
Aw that's great!! I love them too!
Thanks ! Did you see the pilot? ruclips.net/video/ii-HLED3krY/видео.htmlsi=A5oJjHufgiQOy1uq
"Gilligan's Island," "F-Troop" and "The Munsters" do nicely for lots of other fans of the half-hour format of the mid-1960s.
A travesty that Sally Field and America in the '60s were STUCK WITH "The Flying Nun" for 3 long, long, LONG years and Fields' breakout role preceding it, the adorable, well-cast, non-goofy "Gidget," only 1 season. In a perfect world SHOULD have been the other way around.
As we frustratingly learned in revealing "look backs" and "behind-the-scenes" tomes, the programmers at both sitcoms' home, the ABC Network, were too quick on the cancellation trigger with "Gidget" because they realized they made a BIG mistake when its BIG ratings showed up with the show's repeats airing throughout the late spring and summer months, when school's out, and the reruns' ratings reflected its big appeal to the youth audience 'discovering it,' having missed it during the traditional Sept. - April network TV broadcast season. It would have been prohibitively expensive to resign the original cast whose options on a second season expired.
I always liked the Bewitched cartoon her drawing & Darren's was spot on
thanks so much!

I love Screen Gems Productions. Bewitched, Gidget and I Dream of Jeannie are my favorites! 🙂
excelleni! I hope to do more!
The houses from Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie were used in BOTH shows. Dr. Bellows lived in Sam and Darrin’s house and on occasion Tony Nelson’s house was on Bewitched.

This is exactly how I remember this stuff.
Cool thanks!
If a crossover betwixt Bewitched and Jeannie had even been possible, it would have been more likely to have occurred on Bewitched; that show featured various types of supernatural beings over its 8 seasons: elves, leprechauns, a wood nymph, even aliens from out of space! Whilst Jeannie, from what I remember, limited itself to just genies.
Half-expected to see Sister Bertrille to land "shotgun" in a black Trans-Am with Burt Reynolds at the wheel...!😉
lol!
It seems Columbia Pictures Television (Screen Gems) had most of the best shows from my childhood. What a great way to salute them (I always liked "Bewitched" and "The Partridge Family").
Thanks for posting this!

You get bonus points for using the character drawings from Partridge Family 2200 AD.
Thanks glad you liked it!

OMG, this would be my DREAM PROJECT to work on!!! It's like someone had a potluck for great characters, and all the best cooks showed up with their top dishes.
Pilot is ready!
BRAVO!!
In reality, Elizabeth Montgomery saw “I dream of Jeannie” as a rip off of her show. Her husband actually worked on both shows but she put her foot down and he quit “Jeannie”. However, writers were interchanged for both shows which explains the similarities for the plots of many shows.
Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie practically, had the same guest stars .
Here's an irony. Her second kayfabe husband had a guest starring role playing Tony's lawyer.
oh so I guess she would have turned down a crossover even if offered
Bewitched was more popular but I always preferred Jeannie
Bewitched withstood the test of time for me.Today I Dream of Jeannie comes across as silly now.The Flying Nun almost destroyed Sally Field's career. She's no fan of it.Larry Hagman feels the same way about Jeannie.
I'd like this for my screen saver. Love it.
Thank you!
Funny too that their houses were right down the street from each other and the Bellows' lived in Darrin and Samantha's house sometimes.
Soo cute! Love it!
Thanks!
I thought back then (1960's) these TV shows are GREAT! I was right. Still are. 😁👍
Yeah classic stuff! Hope to do more animated!
@@tmesaGreat! Those characters are spot on. Well done. 😁👍
Thanks so much!

@tmesa Do you know what the Screen Gems logo is? The circle with the two curved swirls.
0:52 - 0:57 ALWAYS loved that BIG, great trumpet sound at the end of "Bewitched"'s end title.
Congratulations and Thank You, 'The Kustomonsters,' for this fun trip down memory lane.
Your rendition of Samantha / "Bewitched" looks just as hot as the show's main title and as hot as Elizabeth Montgomery.
EPIC fail on darling Sally Field / "Gidget". That's not a face; more like a mug. She looks 30 -- not 16. Just a brief glimpse of her figure, but it comes out looking frumpy -- which we expect with Sister Bertrille covered head-to-toe in her habit / "The Flying Nun" but not an adorable southern California girl with a face and figure approaching guy magnet territory.
Poor Sister Bertrille, looks 30 too and FRUMPY in her habit, which is to be expected See how in the same frame -- 0:48 - 0:52 -- with the fetching Samantha and Jeannie, Bertrille's a 'poor third.' Make that 'thirty-third.' [My bias against "The Flying Nun" is showing.]
Barbara Eden is so far removed from the cats' eyes-look of Jeannie as drawn 60 years ago and duplicated here it's impossible to compare to Samantha, Gidget and Sister Bertrille.
thank you so much!
X fabor que pasen estas caricaturas x fabor son tan hermosas😢
Recierdos de mi.bella niñez ❤
Samantha and Jeannie
Yes and all the gang!
Screen Gems ruled the TV roost in the 1969s
Okay... there's been Partridge Family and Brady Bunch cartoon shows involving musical performances, so why not one for The Monkees as well? Mickey Dolenz is the only one left of the group still actually performing the group's music--much like Gene Simmons did until recently--and KISS has become a image alone recently... as approved by Gene Simmons, for reasons I can only guess. So... what if Mickey did the same? Who here that's familiar with The Monkees wouldn't enjoy watching a cartoon based upon them? Vote "like" if you think they should. Who knows...? Maybe we can get someone to produce one, even if it's just an adaptation of an existing live-action episode. And it'd still be just as fun to watch--if not more so--seeing their actions become even more animated... like watching a Beatles cartoon--but better!😁
Thanks, I did do a short Monkees cartoon on my channel. I added Gidget and Jeanie to boot! I would love to do a Monkees cartoon. I have the crew and the studio is just down the street.!
Excellent!
Thank you!

I was always sorry that Bewitched and Jeannie were on two different networks because think of the crossover
My new animated pilot has them living in the same culture de sac!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Hanna-Barbera do the openings of both shows, seeing that they were working for Screen Gems at the time?
@@raymondhopwood9393 You are correct!
ADORÁVEIS ❤️
Very cute.
Thank you!
@Jayden k all video Actually the only official Screen Gems animation are the titles from Jeanie and Bewitched. What I would like to see is all those old shows animated!
@Jayden k all video What a great idea! I'm a bit busy now but who knows!
I'm down. I have a pilot ready to go!

You forgot the Brady Kids! It was animated! LOL
Yeah Paramount show not Screen Gems, funny though.
The osmonds would have given the monkees and the partridges a run for their money
Partridge Family was 1970-74.
I preferred The Partridge Family over The Brady Bunch.
The music?
@@tmesa The show
0:17 - 0:29 "Who Needs Wings To Fly"
And Netflix just greenlit this for a 10 episode series....LOL
I'd be down for this. The crew is waiting!! ruclips.net/video/ii-HLED3krY/видео.htmlsi=A5oJjHufgiQOy1uq
Why Jeannie doesn't have a nose ?? Will like to see more about Jeannie. Nose graphic design her. Thanks 😊
Cool. Check out my pilot! ruclips.net/video/ii-HLED3krY/видео.htmlsi=4CxOTJeUeExwHcY8
Cute
Thanks!

Sister Bertrille was one sexy babe!
Sally Field's "Gidget" was cute-to-pretty, sparkling eyes and adorable smile, good teeth and complexion and was blessed with a flattering figure that she, thankfully / fortunately was justified in showing due to her character's beach vibe and affinity for casual wear. Not voluptuous, but definitely nicely proportioned. For the boys and men who devoured her in "Gidget"'s 32 episodes, what a shock, disappointment, letdown, etc. to see ALL THAT dumped into Sister Bertille's frumpy habit on her next sitcom, "The Flying Nun." Sure, because it was Sally Field starring, she was eternally CUTE; pleasant, appealing.
But, "one sexy babe"? Not in 1200 years. I would guess 88% of straight boys and men within the RUclips Universe would wholly disagree with THAT specific characteristic. On "Gidget" she wasn't, and wasn't meant to be, "one sexy babe," but she definitely had the appealing qualities that count, that matter for male viewers.
Surfing flying nun.
Pitch that to Sony Pictures Animation and you got it made!
I should think so, I'm local! Thanks!
I LOVE IT 😊
