The Angels organization as a whole is run terribly. They make bad business decisions and everytime they try to fix things things somehow get worse for them. The worst thing in life is knowing that the organization doesn’t care and yet Trout is so loyal even tho he knows he’ll never be a champion or be a contender. I feel sorry for the fans
Their farm system has been depleted by bad decisions for decades. Since Trout they have developed NOTHING of value. Their idea of a prospect is Jo Adell..?
This video felt almost personal. From a channel that - at least from my perspective - tries to keep a somewhat professional tone to every video, I've never heard iTalk sound so cold and angry before. It sounded like he was genuinely disgusted with how incompetent LAA's front office is. Really puts into perspective how badly they messed this up. Well deserved though, pretty much everyone I knew said before the deadline the Angels would be stupid not to trade Shohei for some prospects. This wasn't even hindsight - this was way before the deadline. Oh also, loved the dig at their name at the start.
The worst part about this, it is way too late for them now to get prospects for either Trout/Ohtani They are going to be bad now for a LONG time because they also don't have a farm system They messed up BADLY, normally the kind where jobs are at stake, but because they have a terrible owner, this maybe the kind that could absolutely KILL this franchise going forward, we're talking them moving probably in the next 5-10 years, attendance should drop because of this, how could anyone support this team going forward is going to be the million dollar question.
I don’t feel bad for Trout. Ohtani yes since he’s has to stay due to the negotiation with the posting system, he can’t leave until after this season. Trout, I don’t feel bad for him for the sole reason he chose to stay. Wants to be remembered as an Angel for lifer and I can respect that but don’t feel bad. He chose to be in a toxic relationship with Arte and the Angels so that’s on him.
I knew as soon as Moreno didn't sell the team that doom was on the horizon, and then when they didn't trade Ohtani that they were royally screwed. They bet it all on the craps table and came up snake eyes. They're really going to suck even more for even longer now

The world needs Mike Trout to win another MVP Hopefully 2019 wasn't his last one 🥺 A couple years ago I was happy Mike Trout signed that contract to be a Angel for Life because I called that Loyalty at it's finest but if the Angels keep letting him down it's best for Mike Trout to stand up and tell the Angels front office he wants to leave. I know Loyalty is a great thing to have but a team like the Angels seem to not value it.
I was sad that Trout resigned with the Angels; and I grew up going to Angels games. (I was sadder still when Arte Moreno didn't sell the team.) I knew the current organization was a disaster and wouldn't really improve; though no one could have predicted their latest series of antics.
No point in being loyal to a team run by disconnected billionaires. No player should feel obligated to be "loyal" Trout shoulda left when he had the chance.
Trout is way past his prime. Can't stay on the field. And when he is on the field, he's pretty much average now. Doesn't steal anymore. He certainly isn't clutch. The last at bat in the WBC kinda sums up Trout. Always swings for the fences. And, more importantly, he's not a leader. His and Rendon's contract will hamstring this franchise for years to come.
@@Bugkiller08 Yes, Trout reminds me of Dale Murphy of the Atlanta Braves back in the 1980's. Murphy won 5 Golden Gloves, 4 Silver Slugger awards and was a seven time All-Star and put up tremendous numbers from around 1982 through 1987. Then the injury bug started hitting him and he went from future Hall of Famer, to just better than average and finally, just a shell of his former self. I'd like to think Trout could heal and get some measure of consistent playing time, probably mostly as a DH, but I have a feeling that's wishful thinking.
Baseball is the only sport i can think of where a team can have two of the best players in the history of the sport in their prime and not even be competitive😭
Angels bouta go through the curse of the great bambino 10x over because atleast the Red Sox's won with Ruth but the Angels have only lost 😂. "Curse of the great Unicorn".
Rendon's contract is why they're shit. They can't sign anybody cause they have damn near $40 million tied up on a guy who had 1 good postseason. As a Rangers fan, I marvel in their failure but as a baseball fan, it hurts to know that Rendon is being paid over $1 million a season MORE than Trout. Let that fucking sink in
Don’t understand how the angels saying that Ohtani’s camp declined the mri is a bad thing. They did the right thing and offered it to him. They literally can’t force him to do it. And it’s even worse to say nothing and let potential free agents think they were negligent and didn’t offer Ohtani a MRI.
As an angels fan this Lowkey brought a tear to my eye, flat out truth this franchise is lost there’s no guidance and no proper management. Moreno didn’t want to sell the team because Ohtani was bringing the fans and therefore the money was coming in so why sell. This franchise is set back at least 10 years, it’s embarrassing that Seattle and Baltimore got it together fast and they’re set for the next 10 years. So far the only players I see promising are Neto, O’hoppe, Schaneul, and Phillips because they’re young and learning but even I fear management will get rid of them before their potential comes in. Rendon robbed the team $245 million idk what they were thinking, because not getting Cole you think Rendon is the answer? Maybe this team needs to watch the documentaries of the 2002 team and learn some things from them on how it went right, majority of the 2002 team was from the farm system. The AL west got way more competitive that it used to be and it’s a shame Anaheim won’t be a part of that, $5 says Oakland build better than Anaheim
This has GOT to be the most pathetic handling of a trade deadline we've ever witnessed in all of pro sports! Not only do they lose Ohtani for nothing but then to also trade your top prospects away for guys that you end up cutting a few weeks later for nothing in return is reaching legendary levels of failure! Just think about the swing of the number of top prospects they COULD/SHOULD have right now compared to gaining none and even losing many of your own... Crazy ineptitude
I remember arguing with Angels fans a couple months ago; they said that this year was "different" and that they were world series contenders. I said that the Angels do this EVERY YEAR: fool fans into thinking they're serious then crapping the bed in the second half, getting 60-70 wins. Pathetic.
I mean they made the right moves. Getting Renfroe and urshela we’re good moves and rendon was coming off a mvp caliber year, anderson was coming off a good year too, not there fault imo
They’re just too injured lmao you can’t have 16 starters injured and win anything they have a pretty decent record for having 40% of their 40 man roster out

Its actually insane to me that when they got Trout as a compensation pick that they didnt immediately build a team around him. If they had they would be be beasts and possibly be in playoff contention every year. But they didnt. They had another opportunity when they signed Ohtani. Two absolute superstars on the same team but they yet again failed to build a team around them. If they had, they'd probably have at least a couple WS rings. The fact that theyve wasted two golden opportunities for a dynasty baffles me. Like you said its hard to build a winning baseball team but its a lot easier when you have two of the best players to ever play. I guess its an easy win most of the time as an Astros fan. Still sad to see.
Oh no, not just “some” top prospects. All of them. Ky Bush, Edgar Quero, Jeremiah Jackson, Coleman Crow, Mason Albright, Landon Marceaux… you will hear some of these names in the MLB in a couple years, and they won’t be Angels. Probably for the best though, knowing our reputation for developing players. In retrospect, this turned an already bad decision into one of the worst decisions in MLB general management history (though it’s likely more Arte’s fault than Perry’s)
Selling prospects with a weak farm system with a team that could maybe make a wild card spot with a few upgrades was an absurdly dumb decision in the first place. If they had a super good farm system, the all-in push would make sense even if it blows up because you still have a farm system for a quick reload in a couple years. By not trading Ohtani and instead buying at the deadline, the Angels are pretty much doomed to be a bottom-feeder for the rest of the decade.
I think they feel they've already brought up their best prospects and have their catcher, SS and 1st baseman for the next six years in O'Hoppe, Neto and Schanuel. They have Trout and an all-star caliber third baseman if Rendon ever comes back to form. They still have lots of pitching prospects, but don't seem to be doing a good job of developing consistency with them, and maybe have brought them all up too fast. The pressure to win now will be off next year, so they might not be in as bad shape as people seem to think.
If I were Shohei Otani, I'd file for free agency as soon as the World Series has concluded and never look back. There are absolutely no signs of progress with the Angels organization.
When they said that they didn't MRI Ohtani's arm the month prior, that's when I knew this team was a bigger joke than we thought. Medical professionals on the team didn't think "hey, you're not a medical expert, let's get this looked at. You might feel fine now but this might be worse under the surface". I hurt my back at work and didn't think I needed an MRI, my job forced me to get one and it turns out I herniated my back so bad I fractured a disc. But I felt fine, my MRI said I was fucked up.
What they said was that Ohtani wasn't flagging any elbow problems, just some cramping in his fingers. There elbow came out of the blue and there had been no obvious need for an MRI.
Angels owner needs to sell, he ruin the team for literally 2 decades now. He literally got to go and get the fuck out of Anaheim and stay back in Arizona.
For me, the most devastatingly disappointing FA signing was (still is) Anthony Rendon. He has done NOTHING, except to cash his fat paychecks. He still has several years left on his contract. He will need to have monster seasons in 2024, 2025, and 2026 to justify his monster contract. Ohtani is as good as gone. Hopefully, Trout will be healthy next year, and the Angels will build the team like the Braves did back in the 1990's. Assembling a good pitching staff is the key.
The only person that thinks Arte Moreno is a good owner is Arte Moreno. A few years ago, many pointed at Mike Scioscia as the root of the problem with this team, but since he left, things have not improved and in many ways have gotten worse. As for Trout, one of the jokes is that he chose to stay because he would have Octobers free to pursue other interests. During the last NFL playoffs, he was spotted at the Eagles vs. 49ers game that determined which team would go to the Super Bowl. As soon as I saw that, I knew social media would have a field day because the jokes practically wrote themselves.
They seriously need a new voice in the ownership and Arte Moreno has been the biggest problem for the club for 20+ years! He’s done absolutely nothing but wasting 2 generational talents and continue to hold the team back. He’s got to sell the team at this point
As an angels fan seeing this vid is like getting punched in the face after already getting our balls kicked, backs stabbed, hearts broken, and dreams destroyed
Been an Angels fan my whole life and I can confidently say this is worst organization in all sports, not baseball, EVERY SINGLE SPORT! Terrible franchise.
You really have to put it on team brasses considering you have those two guys on the field at least in the last couple 3 or so seasons where shohei was coming in to his own. It's a lot easier building a team when you have those two filling up with middle of the lineup. But again, I'd really look back and either the management drafted horribly or traded away prospects for fixers. Also after giving albert that deal and josh that deal, they just didnt learn any better. Considering all the deals people gave out to players 30+, the majority of those deals do end up costing the franchise too much in money and lost opportunities. The teams that consistently win must develop from within. I guess it's just too bad that the Angels will just keep struggling for years to come until Rendon is off the books. Trading Trout is definitely the best move here as it'll give them some tanking time and replenish the farm system, cause there's no way anyone's taking rendon off their books.
If I was an MLB free agent and the Angels offered me huge contract I would run like hell and request an exorcism. I have never seen. A team have such scary luck with free agents.
This seasons was not that bad, they were decent at start winning and then they got hurt and hurt and it was not stopping. The injuries is the major reason the team is not on the post season spot.
Also, let's not forget, it didn't help having a manager who was not qualified for the job. His mismanagement has cost the team numerous wins. He should have been fired weeks ago.
The owner is all about selling tickets and jerseys he doesn't care if they finish over 500 or get to the playoffs or win the World series as long as he makes tons of money there is nothing that needs to change. Hence why there was all those terrible and crappy deals because hey these guys used to be great come see them and buy their jersey. He only did this move for one reason to keep Ohtani and that failed because Ohtani should run away from this pit of a team because as long as the owner is still there they will always be terrible. They should do the right thing and trade Trout away to let him have a chance to actually go to the postseason maybe on a team that would actually keep him healthy but we all know they wont because that could cut into their sales.
Yet another RUclipsr, who doesn’t look into the root of the problem. I admit Otani has not been the issue, but Trout has definitely been part of the problem the past few seasons

Pujos was a .328 hitter his first 11 years for the Cardinals, then is a .250 hitter his last ten years with the Angels. It was weird to watch. If I were Trout I would entertain the thought of joining Harper in Philly, close to where he grew up in NJ. I know that Harper tried to pitch the offer to MLB to get the trade, but it didn't happen. Ohtani probably would be best in Seattle. This way they are on winning teams that will see the post season.

@@smellyfly9469 And yet he became the third clean player to break 700 despite having all motivation sucked out of him for a decade and said lower half issues, and then the year he came back to the Cards those problems were all gone. He'd have broken 800 and people would finally have stopped treating steroid-enhanced numbers like Barry Bonds' home run tally as though they're legit.
Sounds just like the current Yankees
The only merit they have is to be in a wealthy region, so they are wealthy too. Bad business, bad results, not even a decent stadium
@@elbori4365the Yankees are having a bad season; the Angels are having a bad fifteen seasons.
Their farm system has been depleted by bad decisions for decades. Since Trout they have developed NOTHING of value. Their idea of a prospect is Jo Adell..?
@@kendallevans4079 from the front office to the farm system, one word seems to describe the Los Angeles Angels: shambles.
When the A's move to Vegas move the Angels to Oakland. The Los Angeles Angels of Alameda.
the Los Oakland Angeles Californian Angels of Anaheim
This video felt almost personal. From a channel that - at least from my perspective - tries to keep a somewhat professional tone to every video, I've never heard iTalk sound so cold and angry before. It sounded like he was genuinely disgusted with how incompetent LAA's front office is. Really puts into perspective how badly they messed this up.
Well deserved though, pretty much everyone I knew said before the deadline the Angels would be stupid not to trade Shohei for some prospects. This wasn't even hindsight - this was way before the deadline.
Oh also, loved the dig at their name at the start.
As an angels fan I wish I wasn’t one
The worst part about this, it is way too late for them now to get prospects for either Trout/Ohtani
They are going to be bad now for a LONG time because they also don't have a farm system
They messed up BADLY, normally the kind where jobs are at stake, but because they have a terrible owner, this maybe the kind that could absolutely KILL this franchise going forward, we're talking them moving probably in the next 5-10 years, attendance should drop because of this, how could anyone support this team going forward is going to be the million dollar question.
They're really going to suck even more for even longer now
Trading Ohtani for random prospects would have basically surrendering the next 5 years
@@chrisuncleahmad666lol but they literally made it worse, they traded most of the farm system and now won’t get anything for Ohtani. If they had traded him at least you had prospects to look for in the future but now you have nothing but a horrible team that happens to have Mike Trout in it
@chrisuncleahmad but it would've been something to build on, but now they'll be no Ohtani PLUS no prospects to build off of.
Doing what they’re doing now is sacrificing their next 10
@@robwebster1098 look at the Mets. Sure they have some prospects but have no semblance of a pitching staff after getting rid of Verlander AND Scherzer
Honestly bro, as an angels fan it’s sad that we’re wasting players like Mike and Otani… we really are the clippers of the mlb
The Rendon debacle is as "Angels" as it gets!
As an Angels fan every bit of this is true
The world needs Mike Trout to win another MVP Hopefully 2019 wasn't his last one 🥺
A couple years ago I was happy Mike Trout signed that contract to be a Angel for Life because I called that Loyalty at it's finest but if the Angels keep letting him down it's best for Mike Trout to stand up and tell the Angels front office he wants to leave. I know Loyalty is a great thing to have but a team like the Angels seem to not value it.
i wish he could stay healthy, if he was playing full seasons then he’d 100% be in mvp conversations every year
I was sad that Trout resigned with the Angels; and I grew up going to Angels games.
It seems impossible to be this bad with these two amazing players, but here we are.
Not really. In the NBA maybe, but in baseball, you need depth. It's not like Ohtani can hit AND pi..oh wait. Damn.
L.A.'s little brother curse. Angels, Clippers, Chargers. 1 Championship between the 3, nada in over 20 years.
Baseball is the only sport i can think of where a team can have two of the best players in the history of the sport in their prime and not even be competitive😭
Why do you say that?
that intro tho...
the Los *Anaheim* Angeles *California* Angles *of America*
Angels bouta go through the curse of the great bambino 10x over because atleast the Red Sox's won with Ruth but the Angels have only lost 😂.
"Curse of the great Unicorn".
Curse of the Rising San?
Also ironic that the Angels last victory was the year before the Red Sox broke the Bambino curse
Imagine being two of the best players in the last two decades, and never having been to a playoff game
You know your team is bad when it's the punchline to a joke! 😂😂
Instead of offering they should have forced him to have the MRI as part of team orders.
@@exia0616you can’t force a player to do shit lmao
They’re just too injured lmao you can’t have 16 starters injured and win anything they have a pretty decent record for having 40% of their 40 man roster out
The oldhead baseball mentality is what sinks franchises.
They should learn from the NBA and trade when the trading is hot.
Everyone talking about how the Angels are wasting the potential of the two superstar players but the superstar players took their money 🤧🤧🤧 everyone makes their decisions and lives with the consequences
So despite being 2 of the top 5 baseball players on the planet, they should decline to be paid for their talent bc some clown on the internet doesn’t understand economics? Okay 😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡
@@richardtherichard26 people are like bitching and moaning that Otani and Trout's careers are being wasted when your dumbass doesn't understand that either of them could've gotten their paychecks anywhere else. Be smarter bud
I'm a Mariners fan and I do feel a little bad about how we wasted Felix who had little run support >.<
We kept him much longer than we should have cause whenever he pitched a home game, they made lots of cash
the opening line lmfao
That’s not the angels general manager… that’s Brendan Frazier playing a general manager
Elaborate
The Angels are like the Los Angeles San Diego Chargers just one championship appearance and have not returned ever since one and done franchise
In other news, the sky is blue
I think there needs to be a deep dive on how Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez seem to be attached at the hip. They're always traded together.
I Think they just want to make things as confusing as possible for the Jomboy refguess crew
they’re gonna sign together in free agency this winter lmfao
Selling prospects with a weak farm system with a team that could maybe make a wild card spot with a few upgrades was an absurdly dumb decision in the first place. If they had a super good farm system, the all-in push would make sense even if it blows up because you still have a farm system for a quick reload in a couple years. By not trading Ohtani and instead buying at the deadline, the Angels are pretty much doomed to be a bottom-feeder for the rest of the decade.
Our farm system is weak because we brought them up to MLB level
I think they feel they've already brought up their best prospects and have their catcher, SS and 1st baseman for the next six years in O'Hoppe, Neto and Schanuel. They have Trout and an all-star caliber third baseman if Rendon ever comes back to form. They still have lots of pitching prospects, but don't seem to be doing a good job of developing consistency with them, and maybe have brought them all up too fast. The pressure to win now will be off next year, so they might not be in as bad shape as people seem to think.
The Angels ENTIRE front office needs to be released ASAP !!
that opening line of naming the team had me roaring in laughter
You retard his representation denied a MRI lmao
Ain't no reason to not be subbed to this beauty channel.. daily quality baseball content.. let's gooo!
And the sad thing is Mike trout could be forgotten about and viewed as overrated by the next generation. It’s a scary thought
Feel bad for Trout...Low motivation around no chance to be something in the league other than a Franchise star
The Angels have the Mariners in their division and yet the Angels are still somehow more pathetic
The Mariners are 1st 🥇 in the west right now
It’s ok they’ll choke in the last ten games
Mfs really think Quero and Bush were gonna be lights out players
They seriously need a new voice in the ownership and Arte Moreno has been the biggest problem for the club for 20+ years! He’s done absolutely nothing but wasting 2 generational talents and continue to hold the team back. He’s got to sell the team at this point
Like a new owner is going to magically fix their bullpen
@@chrisuncleahmad666a new owner would hopefully do more than just sign old free agents
They went for it this year but it was too late, 21 off season would have been the time to add pitching and high on base guys
Even with Ohtani having an MVP season, Angels are going to miss the playoffs. At this point, it’s 100% an organizational problem.
Shohei and Trout HAVE to leave this off-season. They would be stupid not to. Period.
Well considering trout is under contract until 2030, I don’t think he’s going anywhere…
How long did it take you to do that intro? That was impressive 😂
The most poorly run organization sports right now. Profoundly bad.
As an angels fan seeing this vid is like getting punched in the face after already getting our balls kicked, backs stabbed, hearts broken, and dreams destroyed
I think you covered the list of maladies very well.
Probably your best video yet
Ohtani and Trout deserves to be in a WS Team.
Been an Angels fan my whole life and I can confidently say this is worst organization in all sports, not baseball, EVERY SINGLE SPORT! Terrible franchise.
their amount of time spent together doesn't mean much because of injuries and pitching injuries to Ohtani
Let those superstars go. Give them a shot to play for a WS ring. Would love to see either one of them on the Astro's lineup next year! Go Astros!
For sure!
I wouldn’t say everyone loves someone, it’s a bit of an oversight and generalization!
the brightest stage those two legends ever been together is the final AB of the 2023 WBC final sadly.
Ohtani would have seen the playoffs 2 times if he signed with the Padres but there was no DH and thats where he wanted to go originally
He should have been fired weeks ago.
bro idk why but something about this mans videos are so good and i always watch each video
God, when you say it all at once like this it's like a freakin' Greek tragedy😟
Well...at least they still have their number one prospect??
Don't think I didn't catch the ZSJL music in the background. Especially "At The Speed of Force."
