    Jays fan here. We warned y’all. He was an absolute beast in his rookie and sophomore seasons, started to trail off then started his whole “me over team” mantra. • @kevwwong
      @kevwwong 2 часа назад

      He played in 4 games in his second season due to tearing his ACL. His best season was probably 2017 - his fourth. He was injured again in 2018 and had a terrible year, but bounced back in 2019. Not bad for a guy that "started to trail off" after year 2.
      But you're right that Stro always has a chip on his shoulder and tends to rub people - particularly media types - the wrong way. That kind of fire works well in your 20s. Not so much in your mid-30s when you're clearly declining. That said, he's always had love for the Toronto fans, and his cameo during the Bautista Ring of Honour ceremony was cool.

    I didn’t realize Stroman was on the Yankees WS roster(?). Makes me wonder why he wasn’t used in some of those late inning games in ANY capacity when the bullpen looked depleted. I mean, why put him in the roster when he’s just taking up space? Clay Holmes pitched in ALL five games including on three straight days in games 3-5.
    Game 3 of the World Series was a bullpen game and Stroman wasn’t called. Game 4 was a blowout and he wasn’t asked to help rest the bullpen arms. What’s going on here?

    idk why we putting this all on stroman, yanks made a bad signing and it was not like we expected to have an ace on this contract. without gleyber and the piss poor defense i imagine he throws his standard slash line and no one is really that mad about his performance (although its still a slight overpay) acting like its all his fault and its a culture issue is a little crazy hes just not needed anymore its business. (im also not saying hes never brought culture issues, just that this year it clearly wasnt the problem hes just not worth his contract)

    Stroman Twitted himself out of Toronto went he went public with his thoughts after he and the Jays went to arbitration. He didn’t like hearing what the Jays had to say about him and his value. AJ Dickey referred to him, obliquely, as high rent. High pertinence is what he meant, I think.
