is there not a convenient list of all units, with point values?
thinking spread sheets with stats and rules. few pages, rather then a full book...
    just a thought.

If you want to play with lots of tanks, play flames of war.

Agreed, he mentions a game with hundreds of tanks, which at 28mm would be totally impractical, in both price and scale.

Agreed, this left me scratching my head a little. Although I suppose price is a little irrelevant when it's a member of Warlords' own staff? The only way I can really envisage it working with "hundreds" of tanks would be to use some form of a reinforcement mechanic I guess?
I agree with Ryan Bright though. If you want large scale then go with Flames of War.

      Meh. FoW scale is boring.

If one wants to play tabletop armor en masse... just play Warlord's "Tank Wars" rule set. Otherwise, all tabletop games (of the armor/panzer era) suffer from limitations due to scale and the size of our homes/pocket book.

And yet these books have at least 20 mistakes in them including version 2. so ull need army books, apendex(current is garbage), and you have to print out 20paged of FAQ and mistake corrections. They copied version 1 and didnt correct mistakes when they pasted it into version 2.

Are all these compatible with Second Edition or are updated versions coming out?

I would probably buy loads of the books just to read up on stuff

I understand this may well be intended in jest but commenting how you have a regular who refuses to field his stronger army lists as they suspect that you would ban him from playing it and then confirming that this is probably the case... I'm sorry but if it's a legitimate army list to bring to the table how the hell can you kick him from the game just because you don't have the tactical capacity to over come it? Disgusting.
If this is the case then may be run a more experienced gaming league if you're going to ban those who are beyond your capabilities.

      What did you not like?

I wholeheartedly disagree. There are NO new rules in the book that I DIDN'T like. Every change from 1st to 2nd edition are great!
