We're scratching our chins and working out how to expand our Bolt Action squads, Justin & John discuss how they intend to move beyond their starter kits.
We also have some important tips from Chez of Warlord Games about the use of Pinning Markers in the game and what it takes to lock a unit in position.
Do you spread your fire to multiple units or concentrate on taking one squad out of the fight?
    Let us know!

The Pinning strategy session was interesting. Very Tactical.
I like the idea of totally taking the unit out because you also remove a command die from the pool.

Bren Carriers can have two LMGs if they want to retain their transport capacity. You can give them an MMG but then they can't carry anything. You can also give them an LMG and an Anti-tank rifle if you wanted and still have them transport units.
Also, with pinning it's if you match the units morale, not the number of models in the unit that they run away.
Great video, enjoyed the tactics on pinning. (Howitzers are great for that btw! ;) )

jkp39 It's also worth pointing out that transport weapons are now fired by the vehicle's passengers. I use my Bren Carrier to transport my artillery observer (and his friend). Once the observer's done his job, they hop in the Bren and man its guns.

I am thinking of small teams with small mechanized carriers like what he said a Bren or an M5 or an Sdkfz 250. Fits 5, half track, 7+ target not so easy to destroy, cheaper than a bigger carrier, extra dice and it can carry a bazooka team or panzerschrek team or even just guys with panzerfausts. Also brings its mmg to the game.

If you get as many pin markers on a unit as the unit's MORALE value it is destroyed. Not the model count. Otherwise officers would break and run away off the table after one pin marker. ;) Love you guys though!

Take units out of the game. I usually concentrate on two enemy units a turn. Awesome video! Bolt Action for the win.

I try to kill units but depending on what I am doing spreading pins is helpful to cause the enemy to have harder time using said units.

Anyone knows where the trees on the table are from?

Wait, so can one unit shoot as many other units as they want? Could my ten man inf. Sq. Shoot at ten different other units potentially?

no. exception is one-shot anti-tank like panzerfaust, where your infantry fires at one unit, and fanzerfaust fires at a tank. Or tanks, where turret can fire its weapon at one unit, and the hull mounted can fire at another.
