  • Bolt Action unboxing: in this video we take a look at an Operation Market Garden 1944 book by Simon Forty and Tom Timmermans and two war damaged Arnhem buildings that overlooked Arnhem Bridge by Warfayre. These buildings have some lovely detail and should add some real character to the battle table. If you haven’t checked Warfayre out on EBay, he’s certainly worth a visit.
Can’t wait to get these painted up and occupied by my British Airborne troops, lovely addition to my Bolt Action terrain collection.

Mate, your not the greatest painter, or model build, but your ture passion for the hobby shines. Love your presentation, the honest approach. That’s what makes you a great RUclipsr model builder. Your work is wonderful.

Cheers for that, really appreciate your encouragement. Must admit I was initially put off painting figures, given that in most of the videos I watched the painters were so good they could paint the individual hairs on a 28mm figures eyebrow 😂. Thanks for watching and for the kind words.

Cheers, I’m a bit past the blaring music these days😂 They do look nice, however on closer inspection they do have a few little issues but I’m managing to work around them. Should be putting out a video in a week or two, showing what I’ve found and how I’m getting them ready for the table. Thanks for subscribing 😉

I cant wait to see what you come up with for these two pieces. They are so versatile in their design that the only thing in the way is imagination. I have a feeling that you will come up with something great for them and I cant wait to see them finished

Good video again 👏 Can i ask how you paint your building, ie not all of it but maybe one side of a building, I never painted a building before, 👍You seem to have good ideas.

Cheers for watching. Depending on the finished look I’m after, I usually spray prime it with a dark colour and then lightly paint it in the lighter colour I want, before dry brushing it with a lighter colour to catch highlights. If I was looking for a textured or rendered finish instead, I would mix some tile grout in equal proportions to modpodge and paint that on before colouring to my liking. Hope that helps, good luck with your projects👍🏻

Those are great pieces. How much do they go for? I have not done anything yet during the war times but I'm looking to figure out a tank the us would have used during the end of a war in which he was not part of the Vietnam war. I also Love Heli's too so these would make for a great diorama. So easy to print out a sizeable wallpaper and flooring for each room. Gosh, so many options run thru my head right now after looking at these.

I got them fro Warfayre on Ebay, I think they were about £73 for the two. Re wallpaper, had the same idea myself, printed off various 1940’s style wall papers to choose from😉.
What about a Sherman M4 or a M18 Hellcat?. Wayfayres contact details are tagged in the video details if you need to contact him on Ebay. Thanks for watching👍🏻

Nice looking buildings. I found Warfayre on ebay and am looking at this stuff. Could you put a 28mm Bolt action figure near the door of one of them and see how they look for scale? The buildings look a little small to me.

@@TheGreatMim I was just thinking what a good size they are- a lot of these buildings you see are more suited to the old 25mils.
