Using the two elite officers to build to a refocus before the Reno fight starts is very fun. Disorder for pressure and then focused thrust. Defeat the grunts while you wait for the stagger to finish and then stagger again.
When Reno starts do punisher counter into aero into focused thrust whenever he runs at you. For second fast magnify aero at full 3 atb will destroy all his orbs and hit Reno for pressure.
Make sure cloud has transference module on so all the atb you spend can help get clouds limit for the final blow!

wow the enemy doing nothing like that leads me to believe this game will have the same problem 16 had. it's too easy. 16 had an amazing world, story and combat but general mobs provided zero challenge. thats what makes games like elden ring more enganging. the first enemy can kill you lol
This is a completely different design philosophy a game doesn't have to be souls like to be good. This game is honestly nothing like 16 and you can tell thus guys using later game skills in an earlier part of the game(chapter select)@@steve87j
@@steve87jur also watching perfect gameplay lol. I played the Reno boss fight last night and I had to switch up my materia and use my upgrade points and such to win. But yeah it’s not dark souls so don’t play this if you want dark souls difficulty, still fun tho
@@steve87j"the first enemy can kill you" because you are extremely limited in gameplay. Fromsoftware games' difficulty isn't really designed by difficult enemy attack patterns that you have to learn that keep you on your toes and having to act fast (in Armored Core it is. AC6 spoiled me), countering attacks and "pressuring/staggering" the enemies. I love Fromsoft and especially Lies of P is my favorite game of that kind now, but I also love games such as Devil May Cry, FFXVI and FFVIIR. The difficulty of the game is entirely up to the player. Do you suck? Or are you actually decent at the game. Not to mention hard mode is genuinely fun and difficult on a rerun of this. By the way, Rebirth is definitely harder in many ways than this first game and the Dynamic difficulty should be really interesting for a first playthrough!

That Disorder -> Focused strike was genius. Doesn't do enough damage to kill, so you can do it twice and build limit.

Also, I've discovered if you dodge his basic attacks just before they hit, he becomes pressured for long enough for one focused thrust and punisher combo to stagger him!
LETS DANCE, ASSHOLE! is still the best like "special move"/Limit Break line ever. I love so much of the battle banter and battle cry lines for things in this. "Calling wind!" "Burn" "Need a light?" Its so fuckin good. Man this game just oozes love and care

I love how u took out the orbs! Usually i just ignore em and use ascension on reno to finish him off but that looks too fun to skip

Tip: Use Deadly Dodge. It's immensely useful at building ATB and keeping DPS high. It's by far my must-have materia on Cloud

It’s funny cuz I used to think having to fight the guards before Reno was a drag but now knowing I can abuse them to get a limit before Reno is the coolest thing ever

After disorder you press triangle for an extra hit then focused thrust, why does your ATB come back after that?
In this case it’s because they are being staggered and I have a materia on that gives you atb for staggering an opponent. I think it’s called atb stagger LOL

Magnify+aero and since I have refocus I have 3 atb so I can use multi hit aero 3 times in a row

Why do you use disorder so often?
Genuinely curiose
Disorder easily pressures weak enemies, gets you into punisher mode without the delay, can be cancelled back into operator after the attack lands, and it refunds you atb upon hit. Cloud's best move by far

The ps5 version was always 70 dollars. But they do have a bundle where you can get rebirth and remake together for 70. It’s like remake comes free with it. It’s a double pack look it up!

Try using combos instead of pressing square and you’ll see 16 has a deeper combat than this. Hell ff8 junction system is more visually appealing and more engaging

Apparently everyone just played easy or normal mode once and was done? Nobody knew about any of this because you can basically just skate through normal mode by using the attack command and popping off a few abilities here and there. To get through hard mode, you have to put a lot more thought and planning into what you're doing. Obviously part of that is knowing what abilities you have and what each ability can do. There's all kinds of ways to use abilities, and yeah, it looks cool lol. Its nothing new. And honestly, the different stuff you can do with Tifa's abilities is what's really insane. Everyone loves to lose their shit over how awesome Cloud is, and understandably so. But Tifa is so strong its kinda freaky. For the most part, cloud is so powerful because was infused with mako energy, just like any other SOLDIER. His flashy abilities make sense because basically he's infused with the same stuff that makes materia work. Tifa on the other hand has no explanation for how inhumanly strong and fast she is. The hell happened to her 😂

this comment is baffling. i cant quite grasp why it's coming to the conclusions it is, nor why it's bothring to challenge the creator's opinion/title by bringing up cloud's in-canon reasons for being strong... compared to...Tifa's?
Tifa has some great mechanics that can be strung together and meticulously timed too ( along with probably everyone else. ive seen great aerith combos/satisfying kills too) but what relevance is that on a cloud combo video?

@@raymondcampusano2991 Killing them is the real waste. He did a setup to quickly stagger them so he can build limit, and he did that twice for each guard to get a full limit gauge. If he just killed them, that would be a waste of potential limit.
@@lan1719 I dont think this is optimal though right? I tried this fight no damage hard mode and got it under 2 minutes pretty sure. But i must have used some OP stuff so i also think the combos and everything overall was more stylish than what i did. Was nice to watch when it comes to that 👍
