Kh3 is the best when it comes to fun combat. Kh2 is kinda restrictive, but it becomes very fun later on. Kh1 is more about roleplay than the other 2. That my take on kingdom hearts combat from 1 to 3.

Kh1: simple Kh2: fun and simple Kh3: fun and simple and combo go brrrrrrrr.

I will never understand why people defend kh3

I still prefer the combat in kh2, but doing a KH3 run recently and I did notice you can block damn near any time in a combo. That's a great addition. It's also why I sometimes prefer some of the less powerful keyblades. Oathkeeper and Ultima weapon are amazing, but they have disadvantages to them compared to other keyblades such as how short range their guardbreaks are or that their combo can be long enough that you can't guard between combos. Some keyblades give better magic variations compared to others too and of course the shooting keyblade, defend and counter keyblade, and mirage keyblades to offer multiple variations of combat which definitely keep things fresh and allow for better coverage.

I think 2 and 3 combat is equal. But I think the difference is. Two has big parts that are meant for fighting which end up looking bland and empty. The pride lands is the best example. 3 has combat, big worlds with npc's, minigames and more and that's why I like it a bit more. That being said. 3 also has the limit cut battles and why are they so god damn hard.

Looking at all of these videos makes me want to buy kingdom hearts 3. it might not have Flowmotion but it has T H I S edit: bought all the kh games. kh3 is pretty good! i don’t really see what people mean by floaty, it is a tiny bit slower than kh2 but i still enjoy the mechanics (airstepping and shotlocks are my favourites, for some reason)

I like KH3's combat and the attack animations but I prefer KH2's combat more! KH2 combat feels more challenging and better though there are some aspects I prefer of KH3 combat over KH2! Reaction commands are so much better than situation commands!

I meant to post this sooner. Since I was busy I commented a previous upload instead for the time being, and didn’t forget about coming back and sharing something I thought was worth a mention after thinking about it. My apologies if it’s a bit lengthy, but it is pretty solid stuff. I’m seeing now after the fact it’s similar in concept to yours. I guess we came to the same conclusion in our thought process connecting trinity into the options limit form has. Minus that I thought building off of Roxas’s “The End” Command would be complimentary under Ars Arcanum. Since using the two extra keyblades that function similarly to final form every extra hit would add to Roxas’s revenge value. Natural ground combos like the way you started, I had to minimize or the point value would over load and the combo would break. I traded normal hits for attacks that do damage but expand the stun window for the highest number of hits in the shortest amount time, before he breaks out. Initiating Roxas’s reaction command is easy, he kinda follows me around when I glide, and starts after getting within enough range. After that’s successful the second half is starting with trinity. It creates enough stagger into limit form ground combo -> Ars Arcanum Combo finish. The catch is just doing something in that sequence too soon or too late, you’ll get punished. Yes but also no, I like the fast paced combat of Kingdom Hearts 2 more but I still like the flexibility of KH3’s combat more. I hope, that KH4 will be the best of both.

200+ hours of this game (nearly done with the plat) and I don't think I've ever used a neutral dodge to get back on th ground, lol. I usually press triangle for the downwards attack, it gets Cloud back on the ground and on Punisher mode.

Nomura is a masochist for making this insanely hard broken battle mandatory to finsih the story. I hate that.
