Okay here is a detailed guide on how and why I did this fight the way it works in this video! This is my Tifa solo strat for airbuster since her moves and abilities are perfectly attuened to handling anything the airbuster can do. Start with haste on tifa, switch to barret for free overcharge, and then to tifa and use unbridled strength to get her to rise and fall. From here my goal is to use as many atb charges as possible because i have her equipped with the transference module so she can gain limit for each atb charge used. the goal is to get her to refocus and then dolphin fury by the end of this first half of the fight. once its staggered the first time(through chi traps and overpowers as well as some normal hits) i use her focused strike parry loop so she can use that stagger time to charge her limit gauge as much as possible. once this is done we just have to stagger it again like the start but this time we should get our limit break upon stagger or right after with an atb use. then we go into refocus and while its staggered i just spam unbridled strength as much as possible to start building her limit up for the second one and so that i dont overdamage the boss. the goal for this next part after its done being staggered is to get its stagger bar up to at least 75 percent before it reaches its damage threshold and moves to its tankbuster phase. from here i just get as much of its stagger up as it retreats and then dodge away from tankbuster and when i go back over to it i stagger it, use stop with barret, and then have tifa start unloading her big damage moves and then we finish out second limit break which will damage enough to just skip the hand phase and now the first half of the fight is done!
Would be cool if you could explain in the video or description why you use the moves/setups you do. Or maybe make a compilation video featuring tips to improve combat.

Incredible... I didn't think stop worked on any bosses during my playthroughs.

yeah I want to make a detailed how to video before rebirth is out but befoer then jsut making descriptions could be helpful i might do that now
