Today I learned you can have more than one Chi Trap active at once! I just assumed that if you use it again with one active, it just replaces the old one. Good to know!

Does boosting your magic stat help if you're using ATK-MATK switch? Doesn't all that +magic attack turn into ATK with the switch? Or am I not getting how that materia works?
Yes. But I used divekick a bit too and even Omnistrike so it wasn’t a complete waste.
Strength up will give magic attack and Magic up will give attack when using the swap materia

Yeah, chi trap is magic damage. As is unfettered fury.
magic attack power +20 would give +20 attack instead with the ATK-MATK materia though.
Here i am mastering trinity strike to beat this when i could have just use chi trap😂 oh well, the more you know i guess.

Today i leanred ive slept on chi trap and built my tifa wrong
Just beat the game yesterday. I was a Tifa main. This makes me feel like I had no idea what I was doing. Which, to be (Zack) fair, is probably accurate.
I had to rewind his golem kill four times. I legit could not understand what happened.

Yeah. Chi trap is still magic damage.
Unfettered Fury does magic damage with its unique abilities and imbues magic damage into some of the basic attacks, and makes a mini chi trap. Elemental materia damage also scales off magic stats. So I used it to turn her high strength stat into magic.
The damage you can get using crystal gloves with this build is pretty crazy, I used Kaiser Knuckles for consistency though because it guarantees a chi level and I didn’t need extra damage to make this work.
I love your awareness when stop is running out and where the paused attack is. I would have definitely been tagged by the hit 😂

I imagine you're going to do this with everyone's solos? You're an absolute beast man, these builds are top tier! I haven't actually unlocked these yet but if you don't mind...I might copy some parts of this build because of how brutally effective they are. I'm experienced and knowledgeable enough to know the boons of tools like Stop and Berserk, but Corsair's Compass Barret, Atk Matk Tifa with Chi locking? Haven't even tinkered with these yet. Now I see the potential!

@@Spanluver locking stuff in place with chi traps, or unfettered fury’s mini-chi trap. Effectiveness depends on the enemy type and whether or not they are pressured

Wow. Admittedly, I just play the game. I consider the stat boosts granted by different materia and equipment, tho don't have any great understanding of them. I've completed all of the sims bar Odin and that is looking like a plat blocker for me. If I ever get past him, I know that there are some tough challenges ahead! Still interested to know what combos you are using here. I'd literally have to watch the video frame by frame to work it out!

Btw, I wanted to ask if we could maybe discuss a strategy for no damaging Jenova Lifeclinger on hard mode. I created a strat where I could get to the final phase without taking damage but then I just have no idea what to do. Maybe if we could combine our knowledge about the game we could be first in the world to do it.
@@KingdomKeyJT is have to study the team composition for the phase and the setup to come to a conclusion on what to do.
Though HP-MP might be helpful. Might be a good choice for cloud so he can start the phase with a limit break to stunlock jenova

@@2052brad I finally actually did it. And yeah it was an absolute pain to practice for lmaoo. The fact that you have to organize builds for EACH PARTY member makes it that much harder. I just posted it if you're interested.

So i tried the magic build with Tifa since she can get the most out atk-matk materia. But, i could never get her to do as much damage as raw 500+ power kaiser Tifa. Even with the chi traps and unfettered fury, and magic elemental on weapon. The raw physical damage always did more for me than the magic builds, maybe ive been doing it wrong or physical builds work better in a team setting
Magic on Tifa is better at staggering enemies and building ATB, and lends itself well to spells and enemy skills, while Physical has higher damage bursts and helps increase party member damage when staggered.
Also this weapon is much weaker than the crystal gloves. If going full on magic, crystal gloves is the best magic damage she can get with the ATK-MATK Materia.
Honestly, she is excellent at both and can even be quite well rounded if you build for it.
@@2052brad I see what you mean, the magic build you're using is especially useful in her solo challenge since the stagger with unfettered fury and chi trap help build to stagger stun the enemy. Nice build I'll definitely try it when I get to these legendary challenges soon
@@codeman916it really shines with crystal gloves. But I’m not using them because I needed the 100% concentration to reach chi 2 reliably and stagger in the window provided by stop
@@2052brad yeah I did try those once testing crystal gloves against full power Titan with solo Tifa. Wind element on weapon of course. I noticed for him that the Kaiser physical build melted him much faster than the crystal gloves with magic. But I definitely see what you mean about stagger percentage, and you're probably inputting the chi traps much more fluidly than I was. Getting to that stagger stun quickly is definitely needed on legendary challenges to avoid making the fights super annoying, I bet! I'll have to practice inputs and movement more
@@2052brad Not sure if you'll check this but as a follow up. I completed all of the VR challenges and I wholeheartedly agree now. The magic unfettered fury build with atk-matk materia is the way to go. And I learned the square uppercut regrab combo it's absurdly broken in damage and how fast it builds atb!

@@Spanluver you have to hitstun them as they fly into it, hence why I use 2.
Often times 1 will get away but is not hard to kill it

Some nodes are. Also, the SP from the hard mode stuff is important for max weapon level
I literally deleted this game cuz I couldn't beat Ruler of The Outerworlds. This gameplay is so satisfying to watch and is such an inspiration.
A lot of people did. It’s okay. The game is a lot harder than I make it look in my content.
These kinds of strategies don’t come easy and require extensive knowledge of the combat system, along with excellent execution.
I even took a couple hours figuring out that one.
So you went through all that, hours into the game just to simply delete it because 1 challenge gave you a hard time? Comeon.

Como es que logras sacar varias veces la trampa de chi??? Yo apenas puedo sacar 2 si es que traigo dos barras de ATB... no comprendo igual como es que haces esos movimientos con tifa que carga de inmediato las barras. Soy remaaaanco
Con 2 barras y luego de poner una trampa usa atb boost para volver a tener 2 barras y pone 2 trampas más. La barra la llena rápido utilizando los golpes dejando presionado cuadrado y volviendo a presionar cuadrado cuando se está en el nivel 2 de Unfettered Fury.
@@Kiwavaki gracias bro. Voy a intentarlo. Es que veo en sus movimientos de combate cuerpo a cuerpo que realiza golpes diferentes y no es como el combo 🟪×4. Es justo en esta parte: 0:38 al 0:40 esa es la parte que quiero saber como lo hace, como es que se lanza hacia atrás en pleno combro y regresa y sus golpes hacen mucho daño 😶... este juego me está sacando las canas.

@@IDELAC8 Ese ataque lo logras en el nivel 2 de Unfettered Fury se mantiene presionado cuadrado un momento y luego se presiona cuadrado de nuevo y repetir.
@@IDELAC8 Ese es el Unbridled Strenght, siempre se activa porque tiene del árbol de armas un perk de 50% de activarse y debe estar usando los guantes que tienen el otro 50% restante. Con ello solo es necesario usar una vez el Unfettered Fury para llegar al nivel 2 y realizar ese ataque que llena rápidamente el ATB. También hay una materia que te da un ATB por cada 3 habilidades que se usan, de esa manera puede poner 3 chi traps seguidas.
