    Whenever your nail gel runs into the sidewalls and eponychium of the nails, this is called overflow. Keeping your gel from overflowing into the sidewall is soo important. Not only is it necessary to achieve no lift nails, but also because continuous uncured gel on the skin can lead to an allergic reaction.
    When using gel to structure the gel nails you must keep control of the gel at all times. Overflow is not an option, and in today’s video you’ll be learning the most important reasons why your gel keeps overflowing onto the side walls.

    The overflow is that silent culprit that becomes a pain in the neck to fix and get rid off. I have followed your tips and tricks and it has helped me tremendously especially with the side walls and cuticle area. Thank you for talking about this topics ❤

    How would you prep nails for clients who have difficult cuticles etc? Or even a lot of dry/excess skin around nails?
    Most techs upload videos with clients who have decent cuticles areas 😬

    Omg I just started using BIAB and I flooded 2x! I’m used to builder gel in a jar. What worked for me was when doing the slip layer NOT going all the way to the side wall! After doing the bead I go back in with the liner brush to get close to the side walls and cuticle. Also when I get floods I just remove the entire product with alcohol and lint free wipe in one swipe. The go back in with another one swiping towards my free edge to avoid anymore uncured gel on my skin. When I grab another lint free wipe with a dotting tool and go under my free edge to make sure it’s all clean! Then I wash my hands. I’m so paranoid with gel allergy.

    Hey I have a question.
    So I have been getting my nails done by a tech who became my friend. I started w her as she was in school and grew with her until she became the most sought after and closed her books !!
    Anyway, she recently moved.. I can no longer find anyone even remotely as skilled as her, and now the costs of structure gel manis are getting out of my budget.
    The other day I bought materials to do it all at home. But the allergies and all the little details are scaring me and I almost want to return everything and give up before I even try.
    Is it really difficult to stick with this or should I give up having manicures?
    How scared should I be about messing up my nails and allergies?

    • @PaolaPonceNails
      @PaolaPonceNails  Месяц назад +1

      Allergies are primarily caused by improperly cure products, and poorly developed gel nail systems. Buy a reputable brand, and their curing unit. Invest in training.

    Thanks for this advice!! What were you layering it with to build it up?…base? I use bonding duo or excel builder to extend my short nails about 1/4 inch. They come out nice and hard but within a few days they become flexible and start to break off. Do you know if they absorb moisture? Any advice on what to use on short nails? My nails are hard to
    Grow and they are soft and bendable. Thank you!

    What percent alcohol?
    Can we use 100% acetone?

    • @PaolaPonceNails
      @PaolaPonceNails  29 дней назад +1

      Hey!
      Approx 90% alcohol on natural nails.
      70% has 30% too much water and can lead to lifting.

    • @PaolaPonceNails
      @PaolaPonceNails  29 дней назад +1

      Acetone on natural nails dehydrated them too fast.
      Acetone on brushes or 100% alcohol is too dehydrating.
