    Good tips 👍

    Thanks for the tips and techniques!
    Also, I love the part where you spray and the bottoms of the cans have over spray from previous projects on them.
    Instead of the sterile/overly clean appearance in a lot of RUclips tutorials, it is a bit grimy/lived in like a real shop of someone who actually does things!
    Keep it up man!

      Thank you 😊. Sometimes, I think about all my overspray on cans and that I should probably clean them. But I like to be real. I appreciate the small details acknowledgment. That lets me know people are really watching and hopefully taking in the info I give.

    Thanks so much for these videos - Do you have any tips on types of images to use and where to get them from?

    • @MadeByMervich
      @MadeByMervich  6 месяцев назад

      Honestly, any image can work for the most part. But to get super good results, the image has to be modified in a way that allows the laser to give top notch results. I create my images and make them laser ready. You can visit my etsy for laser images. You can find the link to my shop in the video description 😁

    Beautiful ty was wondering if you could do this with acrylic paint instead of spray paint

    • @MadeByMervich
      @MadeByMervich  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, but it's more difficult to lay an even coat down unless you use an air brush. The idea is to only laser off the top layer to expose the color beneath it.

    I just subscribed. Have you ever used a 40 w laser to engrave tiles?

    • @MadeByMervich
      @MadeByMervich  2 месяца назад

      Yes, I have a 40w also. The 10w does best with high detail, but the 40w is still really good. Just have to cut the power down really low.

      I know all machines are different, I have the D1 pro 40w and I actually have a 10w module that came with it. Can you give me an idea of what you use? I'm guessing it's best to do a power test to get the most accurate settings. Thanks

      @MadeByMervich  2 месяца назад

      @chrisdemeglio7983 your correct, the best action you could take will be doing a grid test. Secondly, i would do it with what laser i plan to use most (keep from having to swap modules).

    How many watts is your laser,and what kind of laser are you using? I noticed you set your's up on a moving cnc table.

      @MadeByMervich  11 месяцев назад +2

      I have a Snapmaker Artisian 3 in 1 (3d printer, Laser - multiple laser module attachments, and cnc). I used my 10w diode for this project and for most of my laser projects for the highest level of details.

    Thank you, amazing tutorial! Do you top coat the tile? How long does the paint last on tile? Ive heard they start flaking, but not sure how often.

    • @MadeByMervich
      @MadeByMervich  9 месяцев назад +1

      I do layered paints just as I do with the canvases. I have tiles that are probably 5 months old and still look exactly how they came oit the machine. They can get scuffed/chip if they are hit by something. You could add an extra layer of protection by doing a final layer of clear or epoxy. But if making a display, they shouldn't get damaged. As far as flaking, it will rely on your prep work. Ensuring there are no oils (you can wipe with rubbing alcohol and let dry) prior to painting. The spray paint bonds very well. I have tried to reuse failed tiles, and i gave up due to how well the paint was stuck to it (tried scraping it off). I could have used paint thinner and certainly got it back to the smooth tile surface, but I didn't want to waste the paint thinner since the tiles are fairly cheap.

    I dont know what parameters use in my atomstack s20 , please help me !! 😢

    • @MadeByMervich
      @MadeByMervich  11 месяцев назад +1

      If its a 20w diode, you can do power at 15% and dpi at 300, and speed at 350 as a starting point.

      @@MadeByMervich thanks S Max value in 1000 ?

    • @MadeByMervich
      @MadeByMervich  11 месяцев назад +1

      S-Value Max setting (usually 255 or 1000) is a scale of your laser power and must match your controller setting.
      e.g:if your controller is a 1000 S-Value Max and you set 255 your "full" power will be only 25% of your laser real max power.
