Small Business Idea with xtool: I make custom wooden flags and would love to start cutting out with thin wood my stars/design/logos to give the flags more "depth" also would like to possibly use the laser to remove paint and leave natural wood exposed to make logos on some flags (still waiting for video on paint removal with laser " hint, hint")

Our small business ideas with xtool is, custom flasks, shot glasses and tumblers. Items that are great for party favors and or event promos for other small businesses (small business supporting small business)
Small business idea with xTool: local school (sports, extracurriculars, etc.) churches, (youth groups, etc) and Fire & Police department fundraiser items - whatever it is they want to sell to raise funds!
Small business idea with xtool. I want to make nerdy useful items. Dungeons and dragons boxes, towers, cutting boards and so many more. We are finally getting some more items out there but usually the cost is astronomical. I want to make things most everyone can afford. I want to make Witcher themed molding for a bookcase. I want to make studio ghibli sootballs to attach in the corners of the house. I want to make a nerdtopia out of the everyday things you seen in a home not just figures or plushies. I could also make cosplay armor details with this as well. I have been wanting a laser engraver but haven’t been able to afford one yet and my local Makerspace is closed now due to the pandemic. I am hopeful that it will open up soon that way I can go back to creating.
@@BuildDadBuild thank you, I just want to be able to help people make their dreamworlds come true. Life is rough and to be able to escape would be nice.
Great video as always. Just started my small business and my ideas and what I’ve sold already with the xtool D1 are tumblers, charcuterie boards, coasters (slate and wooden), and wooden spoon sets. I have done multiple passes on monogrammed letters on charcuterie boards to get a deeper engraving then mixed pigment with resin and fill the engraving. They look amazing and are great house warming/wedding gifts. So many great ideas can be found in the official D1 group linked above. So many projects so little time. NEED another laser.
Small business idea with x tool; I run a small business that focuses on bringing in game items to the community of gamers. I’d love to bring the game to them by engraving maps from their favorite games, character bios/actual characters, and overall just stepping my game up with my business. Thank you for this opportunity!
Small Business Idea with Xtool: Have had my D1 since the beginning of this year and have been working to grow my small business. Currently, my highest runners are slate coasters and shot glasses followed by cutting/charcuterie boards. It definitely helps to be part of a 'niche' group where you can offer custom products. This is where I make most of my sales, as opposed to general items. After I ordered my D1 I found your channel and it's absolutely brilliant! So helpful, as well as, entertaining. Love the tips you provide, as it helps cut down the trial and error. Always excited when I see you've dropped another video. Thank you!
small business ideas with xTool, this should be the perfect tool to etch all my 10mm sockets and golf balls with my contact into. This way, i can get them returned and save so much time looking for them.
I used to make my own guitar picks a few years ago. Having a laser would make it 10x faster and the ability to custom etch logos on the guitar picks would be awesome since I have tons of friends who also are musicians. Etching bands album artwork on canvas or tiles would definitely be a great side hustle.
Small business ideas with xTool: My wife is a teacher and I have been 3d printing stuff for her and the staff for about a year. The xTool seems to be my next step for me as a hobby and side hustle. We know them teachers like their cups (tumblers). Love the videos. Your personality and info are awesome. The left was better no doubt.
Very cool project. I look forward to seeing what other awesome stuff you come up with on the xTool D1. I love mine so far. For those people on the fence about this laser it is totally worth it. I bought a used one from one of those Amazon return auctions. Unfortunately someone stole a bunch of parts from the box and then returned it. I reached out to xTool support and explained that I purchased the unit used and that it was missing things. They were extremely helpful even though I did not purchase my device directly from them. Their service was quick, accurate, and the shipping was crazy fast to get me the parts I needed to get my laser up and running. To make things even better the device is super quick and easy to set up. I was etching things in minutes after installing the missing parts.
Small business idea with xtool d1, to be able to customize all the normal stuff but also to add this to my custom wooden flags and do vape mod customizations.
I think one of the best options for x tool is craft shows. You can have people come yo your booth and do custom engraving on site. The XTool is light and portable enough to take anywhere. Just have an enclosure and air filter and yiu can engrave anywhere. Thank yiu for all of your work on the videos. Ill be ordering my xtool on next paycheck. What an amazing machine for any small business
The ideas to benefit my small business are endless with an X tool. I've always wanted to be able to personalize items to expand my products! Not too mention all the ideas j I'm getting from watching your videos with all the cool things your doing with them!!
Custom sign making. It’s what I want to get into. Laser burning canvas paintings, jigs and stencils would be a good nichè! Tumblers and ceramic mugs! It would be godsend to get that d1 but I’d be happy with that honeycomb! This video has opened up a plethera of ideas for us
Small business idea with Xtool- I make wooden flags. I make a lot of custom split flags and use paint and details to add some depth to them. I would like to be able to use the X tool to do cut out to make it more of a 3-D rock. I do a lot of military ones and it would be really cool to have military members image on there with a 3-D look to it. I don’t own a CNC but I think laser engraving would be cool as well.
"Small business idea with xtool". Love your videos! I like that you're not afraid to show us how thing's don't turn out and how to correctly get the results you want! I have learned a lot Thank You for taking the time to do this.
Small business ideas with xTool - Order small cutting boards in bulk and coasters, cater to local real estate and home builders to customize these items with their business logo. Then when they build or remodel a house, or as a realtor sell a house, they give their branded cutting boards and coasters to the client or leave them in their remodeled kitchen. Would really make them stand out and great advertising for them. Plus it's all bulk orders for you.
Your energy is awesome! I am a nobody who wants to get into this. I love to craft for my family and friends. Crop the ween then you resized, cracked me up! Thanks for all the tips. I think sharing info is wonderful!!
One of my favorite ideas is customized countertop lighted signs (POS signage, point of sale) along with little branded souvenirs, coasters, key chains, etc to give away to clients that buy that particular product.
I started an LLC in the hopes of augmenting my income when I retire. We do all sorts of custom laser work on tiles, wood, canvas. Just finished 40 cutting boards, spoons, and sublimated micro fiber cloths. I learn SO MUCH from your videos. I want to be you when I grow up 😁
Small Business Ideas with XTool!! Thank you for your videos! I have been engraving portraits on white tile for about a month and they turn out good but still trying to dial it in better to capture the greyscale better. I have watched tons of videos and I appreciate the time and information you give.
As a retired firefighter and veteran my small business ideas lean toward first responders and the military. If I were to win anything I would like to donate it to a veteran group near you, like maybe Wounded Warriors. I appreciate all the work you put into your videos.
Small Business Idea with xtool: we cut a wooden sawtooth style hanger for the back side of signs that we make on our xTool D1 laser. And we engrave our business name and contact information directly onto the hanger. It is a great way for the buyer to remember where to get more or for gift recipients to find us.
Small Business Idea with Xtool: Make custom star pattern projectors/music boxes. I have been making 3D printed domes that I put a star pattern on from a given date (I made one for my wife with the star pattern from our wedding day) that also plays music (our wedding song). Right now it takes me about 20 hours to make one. I think with a laser I could cut that down by quite a bit.
small business ideas with xTool, The Left. I've always called myself a machine-woodworker as I was formally trained in machining but was told over 38 years ago by my machine shop teacher that a machinist could easily be a carpenter, so I used my exact and precision skills as a carpenter and have been what they now call a Maker for years. Recently I have been put on Disability but have been piecing together a small shop in one room in my home. It has always been my dream, And I am finally taking the leap. Better late than never. This would help so much. Thank you, Lawrence
Small business idea. I’d like to see some videos on engraving gun slings. We’ve only tried leather once so far with our new D1, and not sure I like it enough to try a sling. Would love to do it though cause make for some cool gifts and products to sell. Good luck to everyone.
Small Business Idea with xtool: You can take small or large mirrors and turn them over and etch off the back side of the mirror. You can then either paint over the back with colors or place paper to show through. Once the dried you will have whatever design you want “embedded” within the mirror. Great for logos or dates of remembrance. (Make sure you invert the image or flip it since you will be flipping over the mirror and seeing it in reverse)
Oh well! 🙁 Because I do have an AWESOME business idea that I want to try to use xTool for, in hopes of expanding my online business; however, I, recently, realized that sharing it/doing so, publicly, can lead to others running with my idea/taking and acting upon it, etc., before I, even, have a chance to try it ... therefore, I guess that I rather choose to willingly forfeit any chance of winning.
Small business ideas with xTool! So many ideas. I need to create more time to discover even more uses! I woodturn bowls and use the xTool to “sign” them.
My small business idea is going away gifts, plaques, etc. I'm in the military and people are always moving. So instead of having to find a place off base, I would just be a local engraver to help save time and money while supporting fellow military members and showing them the appreciation of their work and how much we will miss them.
Small business idea with Xtool is helping me become a more creative person. I will start with things for the family and move on to craft shows by Christmas. This will be a life saver for me with a disability to make a bit of a income around the holidays
Have tried several ideas using my laser. Have the best idea has been to do anything from slate coasters to personalized leather goods. Upfront costs are a little higher, but with a higher versatility, your customer base will be much higher. Hodgepodge to reach the masses!!!!
"SMALL BUSINESS IDEA" I’ve been a professional leatherworker for going on six years. I would love to add a 10 W X tool laser to my leather shop. This would greatly increase productivity as well as allow me to offer greater levels of personalization to my customers for their projects. I would love to see more videos on your channel dedicated to engraving and cutting leather with your X tool D1 diode laser!
I'm wanting to get a small laser/leather and knife business started, . I can see being able to cut out thinner leather patterns with the laser and engraving my to be decidedl logo on the products along with maybe marking the knife handles with said logo!
Small business ideas for xtool is wedding decor. Table setting, place cards, signs, bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, engraved wedding photos. All stop shop!
small business ideas with xTool: I've got a mini/tabletop cornhole idea as one of my first projects. I've already got the basic design. I've seen that the M1 waiting list keeps pushing so I'm excited about the D1 for it's sturdy design, minimal/compact yet large workspace area, and high quality etching. I'd like to warm up with my family and friends. I have friends that do small craft markets within our circles and that would be great to do etching onto tumblers/Hydroflasks, cylindrical objects with the rotary accessory, etching on some metal tags of images, logos, designs for the crowd, and take some pre-orders for something like this with your video post of etching onto tiles. I've seen a couple previously. It could be for family, small groups, solos as a keepsake, etc, I have some ideas for puzzle piece cutting, just some fun small projects/game types that would be enjoyable for the family.
My newest project: I live in rural ranch America. I make signs Let's Go Brandin' leave an eight inch space on the right side so the cattle ranchers can put their normally 6x6 inch personal brand on the sign. Fence staple barbed wire to the side to hang and presto! Easy money!
My small business ideas with Xtool is to use it to supplement my future retirement income by making and selling whatever I can etch or cut for customers that will sell!
Small Business Idea with xTool: As a small business entrepreneur I could use this in many ways.Jsut a couple would be ideas would be: My husband and I have a weapons customization business. We could use this to make individuals firearms 100% unique to them by engraving into pistol grips/butt stocks/paint jobs. I can also use this to do custom engravings on baked goods for a special and unique presentation that you could not get anywhere else!
“Small business ideas”…..there, did I win? Hahaha! Hey man great videos I enjoy all your vids. Very informative but most importantly, hilarious! I have an Xtool D1 so good luck to everyone else on getting one. I use this 10w bad boy to custom build my PC’s and engrave images on the shells. I could use a honeycomb though.
I don't know about small business ideas, but for the tiles, leather, and especially the tumblers, This would greatly help my scout troop raise money for camping. We are from a low income area and need all the help we can get. Thanks
small business ideas with xTool : is just to boost customability of products like engraving my bentwood rings. Other one that i came up while watching this video is to make family portrait kind of wall/table whatever surface with key memories engraved on the tile, so that in the end there will be a tile surface with all kinds of memories. I kinda like the idea of doing a separate panel first, and after it grows a little you could build a table where you can set the panel to be the table top with all the memories :)
Well, I about choked when I saw the price of that Enduramark stuff, but when I tried it, no way I will go back to using paint. This stuff is unreal. Thanks for the tip!
Small business ideas with xtool d1: making LARP weapons and armor implementing the flexible wood cutting techniques. Engraving large format images on the hoods of vehicles. Just 2 of the ideas I have floating around and experimenting with.
Small Business ideas with XTools D1: I think making luggage tags that have the customers information engraved and have an option with bright colors so their suitcase is quickly identified coming off the airports luggage carousel. I have been looking to buy my first laser soon and I have narrowed down my search and the XTool D1 10W has been at the top of my wish list. I'm glad I found your channel and website today.
Small business idea with xtool: I’m using my xtool to cut and engrave leather to make hats, wallets, and watch bands. I also plan to dabble in some cutting/charcuterie board engraving! Truthfully I have many ideas I want to do haha. Have fun
I would love to win the honeycomb. I recently got the 10 W but have not made a lot yet. This is new to me. I love to craft and have done lots with a Cricut. I love to watch your ideas and you inspire me to try new projects. My idea is that I want to cut and score wood door hanger signs to layer and paint or engraved signs.
Small business ideas with xTool: Just started my own LLC! I' been using the hell out my rotary tool for custom tumblers. I've also been making custom leather hat patches. I really enjoy your videos. Can't wait for the next one!
Small Business Ideas with XTool. I moved from custom tumblers using expoy and vinyl to using the XTool to etch. I’ve recently expanded to Coated yetis and custom license plates. Also using to make custom plaques and layers.
small business idea with xtool- largerer ceramic tiles printed with super heroes and cartoon characters (and personalised with their names) to make superb door signs for children's bedrooms. Great video Nick... always entertaining, always with useful information. many thanks
Small business ideas with X tools 🍻 Nick I thought u where doing the Oprah show in the beginning you get a laser and you get it later and you get a laser lol 😂 great video 🍻
Love your videos!! My idea is doing monogrammed earrings filled with colorful resin! They are so light weight and beautiful❣️The possibilities would be endless!
Dumb question: What did you use to remove the paint? Thanks, I LOVE your videos. You are hilarious and a great teacher. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
small business ideas would be endless. looking at business cards, pics in would and acrylic. I'm just starting in this hobby and loving the things i can do with my laser. would like to also ask if you need zinc to work with ceramic tile why not use the higher zinc content in the cold galvanizing spray cause its like 93% zinc
Ok thank you. I just got my xtool d1 and I’m learning a lot by watching your vids. Is zinc good for marking metals other than stainless steel? I’ve seen where you have used dry moly lube on stainless and it worked amazing from what I could see on RUclips thanks again
Small business Ideas with XTool D1 10W laser ... thanks Nick, your videos keep me motivated...making standard puzzles and layered puzzles of animals and bugs and vehicles. Having fun at the same time.
My small business idea is to make layered art using thin wood. I started doing art with paper but gluing it is a pain. Wood would be a more stable substrate to work with. I don’t think my idea is popular but I still wanted to share. Thank you for all your videos, Nick!
Love your channel and your videos, I'd love more videos on trying to etch photos on glass if you've got any. I can do plates, bottles, jars but I just can't get anything to really work on photo frames with my xTool D1. Also thank you for pointing to the power setting in one of your videos I had been using my laser for a month without realizing that I purchased a 10w laser but they shipped me a 5w laser. They corrected the error super super fast and I've had much better luck with some of my projects since. You are awesome
I know stupid to comment on my own comment but again you taught me something I didn't know., Have light burn also and had no idea that I could do different portions of an etch at different power and speed settings in LaserBox Basic. I use two laptops when etching and my MAC just seems to hate Lightburn and it's the one I use the most with the Laser. I can't wait to try this when I get home
Small business ideas with XTOOL D1…because I am 5’2 with eyes of blue, can slap harder than Will Smith, and drink whiskey while operating lasers…come on Nick, show me some brotherly love!
small business ideas with xTool I do leather work so cutting and engraving leather with xTool D1 for the win. Coasters, hat patch's, hand bags, book covers, wallets and on and on. Maybe even engrave a leather cover flask.
Small business idea with Xtool: Custom engraved garage gym signs. With Covid almost everyone started a home gym. A home gym is not complete without a custom gym sign. Beasts don't train in boring garges.
Our small business idea would be to make personalized items but focusing on school classrooms like: nameplates, etched water bottles, math dry erase boards, etc. They can be paired with a lesson on how the lazer works for the students. Even a quick q&a. Leading to inspiring more great future creators!
Titanium dioxide and isopropyl alcohol, mix in spray bottle and do 2-3 layers let dry and engrave like normal. It works far better and no need for chemicals to remove the paint. Just soap and water.
My small business ideas with xTool would be custom designs on coasters wood or tile, and getting epoxy involved in some way to really make them pop and stand out
Small buisness idea with xtool. Using this method and one of several tools to span tiles, create a business that offers kitchen, bathroom, floor tile mosaics that stretch a picture across multiple tiles, like kitchen splash tiles, around the bathtub or shower, the den wall over the fireplace.. etc.. Custom engraved picture walls
Small business idea with Xtool: I'm a busy mom with a full time job but crafting is my zen. It gives me that me time that i need while helping my family provide with that extra cash to go do something fun or gas since i live in California
Small business ideas with xTool: I have many ideas...wood, glass, slate, tile engravings for coasters, signs, keychains, bookmarks, etc. Thank you for the chance to win!
My small business idea with Xtool would be to make tags/charms for neurodivergent folks to have a fun way to let teachers know what their unique sensory/learning needs are. Medical ID jewelry has some limits, someone has to touch you and handle the tag or bracelet to read them and they don't really offer useful information. Saying "I'm autistic" doesn't tell a teacher "I'm sensitive to loud sounds and bright lights!" but a cute engraved cartoon earmuff character tell you that at a glance and is fun for the wearer. These could be made to use in a school wide system that rewards positive behaviors in addition to charms specific to an important notification so kids will want to earn the "fun" ones and allow the "FUN-ctional" ones to be more discreet and not out neurodivergent kids the way standard ID products do.
I think the stuff you're looking for is Rust-Oleum Cold Galvanize Spray. 90% zinc, single coat. 50% power. 1000mm/min. You can use water and a scrubby pad to remove it.
my business side is to make at home products that has a sense of art and that can be a conversation starter. Two fold Example, I have made custom coaster sets, bottle openers, and also engrave designs on leather. Also making a wooden sign with the business logo and their QE code the can be displayed at check out so that way it is easier for the business to gain a following on social media with every new customer they have.
Since tiles are cheap and xtool laser does excellent engraving and burn on them a person could make a great business making table tops for patios etc or sceneries on counter tops or showers even floors ,Take a picture have divided it among several tiles to make your picture then grout it in .projects unlimited and a great money return especially small end table tops .
Small business ideas with xTool! I have been looking into using a laser to mark the hand stamped medieval style silver coins I'm starting to make, or even to decorate the leather coin pouches!
Small business ideas with X tool D1 ... thanks for the inspiration Nick! I make custom concealment furniture. I love engraving on the front of them. I also love engraving on tile, glass, and anything I can. Really need the honeycomb. Thanks again for your insight. Fucking Merica!!
A really good and cheap way to clean anything like tile or glass for engraving is isopropyl alcohol and a cotton ball. 70% to %90 alcohol is super cheap at less than $3 per bottle. 70% will do the job but $90% will definitely make sure everything comes off, since it can actually strip paint from walls (I actually tried to use it to clean my toilet once and it took the paint off the seat. Think I will stick with lysol lol) you don't even need much and it dries within a few seconds. Also a good way I've used to dry paint is a heat gun at 750F degrees at medium speed. Takes about 10 minutes. Could take a little longer depending on how much of an area you need to dry but definitely faster than just letting it air dry. I'm considering trying to use my food dehydrator that I use for drying my 3d printer filament and seeing how long that takes.
I think a cool small business idea and is inline with the opening of the video is lasering the family crest on the bottom of babies feet! Ok maybe not a great idea or even a good idea, but it is creative!
Small business ideas with xTool: I'm building some extended range battery packs for my friend that's in a wheelchair. He has a mobility scooter-type attachment, but the proprietary batteries he can get are super expensive and only give him a range of 10-12 miles. I'm building up some packs to give him a 60-mile range, but I need to create enclosures. A D1 will allow me to laser-cut and customize the enclosures and make him very happy. It's a pretty niche business, but helping others is a big part of what I do. I'm also remodeling my Mother's house after she passed away (Christmas Eve), and the ability to customize tiles for a kitchen backsplash makes me quite happy indeed. I'm also considering making intricate custom puzzle boxes as a side hustle, because I'd like to get to a place where I can "retire" into doing something that involves craft and workmanship.
Small business idea with xtool: custom leather patch work using small cuts of leather that could easily be engraved on and stitched into clothing and accessories like shirts, hats, and bookbags or even used as nice keyring when stitched into a small piece of cloth
As always Nick, love your videos brother. I see you seem to like rock/metal. Are you a former musician, or just an appreciator of fine tunes? Former guitar player here (still playing, so not so former?) Anyways, I wanted to know, where did you get your Moonknight Jpeg? Looking for a good site for all of these tiles/artwork I see. Thanks in advance!
I like it. And if you saw my production schedule...LOL
Cheers
Dave, I've seen your flags. Excellent American-made work.
The flags produced by Clemmens Wooden Flags are by far the best hand made wooden flags I’ve ever seen, also American Made 🤙
Own a couple items Dave has made. Would love to see anything that could take his already epic work to the next level!
This is the guy who deserves it
Small business ideas with Xtool: I am self-taught, doing graphic design, automotive vinyl decals, and printed stickers. I am also a photographer and do a lot of automotive photoshoots. I am really wanting to get my first laser engraver for creating custom signs and tile coasters of people's cars, as well as making things like plaques for car show awards. I have been watching videos, and window shopping, for a few months. I love the idea of adding more skills and capabilities to my business.
Thank you for the video, and the possibility of being able to win.
Amazing job getting 500 likes overnight!

Step 3: PROFIT!!
Gotta work on that 2nd one...LOL

Sounds awesome may have to hit you up for some flasks for me and my groomsmen!!!
I saw your instagram, I love your products! would love too order soon.
Oh that sounds like a good idea can you do some kind of bottle opener as favors?
Small business idea with xTool: local school (sports, extracurriculars, etc.) churches, (youth groups, etc) and Fire & Police department fundraiser items - whatever it is they want to sell to raise funds!

Great plan of action. Lots of folks would like affordable nerdy stuff

Small business idea with xtool d1, to be able to customize all the normal stuff but also to add this to my custom wooden flags and do vape mod customizations.
Good idea!
You'll dig it Jason!
Cheers
The ideas to benefit my small business are endless with an X tool. I've always wanted to be able to personalize items to expand my products! Not too mention all the ideas j I'm getting from watching your videos with all the cool things your doing with them!!
Love it!
Custom sign making. It’s what I want to get into. Laser burning canvas paintings, jigs and stencils would be a good nichè! Tumblers and ceramic mugs! It would be godsend to get that d1 but I’d be happy with that honeycomb! This video has opened up a plethera of ideas for us
Awesome!
Cheers
Small business idea with Xtool- I make wooden flags. I make a lot of custom split flags and use paint and details to add some depth to them. I would like to be able to use the X tool to do cut out to make it more of a 3-D rock. I do a lot of military ones and it would be really cool to have military members image on there with a 3-D look to it. I don’t own a CNC but I think laser engraving would be cool as well.
I dig it. And check out Dunn Built on IG...great work!
I like it!
Your energy is awesome!
I am a nobody who wants to get into this. I love to craft for my family and friends.
Crop the ween then you resized, cracked me up!
Thanks for all the tips. I think sharing info is wonderful!!
Thanks, Crystal!
Cheers
One of my favorite ideas is customized countertop lighted signs (POS signage, point of sale) along with little branded souvenirs, coasters, key chains, etc to give away to clients that buy that particular product.
Sweet!
I started an LLC in the hopes of augmenting my income when I retire. We do all sorts of custom laser work on tiles, wood, canvas. Just finished 40 cutting boards, spoons, and sublimated micro fiber cloths.
I learn SO MUCH from your videos. I want to be you when I grow up 😁
LOL Thanks Bill!
Cheers
Small Business Ideas with XTool!!
Thank you for your videos! I have been engraving portraits on white tile for about a month and they turn out good but still trying to dial it in better to capture the greyscale better. I have watched tons of videos and I appreciate the time and information you give.
As a retired firefighter and veteran my small business ideas lean toward first responders and the military. If I were to win anything I would like to donate it to a veteran group near you, like maybe Wounded Warriors. I appreciate all the work you put into your videos.
Thanks, Jerry!
And I dig your idea!
I dig it!
Small buisness idea would be making wooden urns for animals with their pictures lasered on them. Awesome video!!
I dig it!
Cheers
small business ideas with xTool, The Left.
Love the gumption!
Cheers
Small business idea. I’d like to see some videos on engraving gun slings. We’ve only tried leather once so far with our new D1, and not sure I like it enough to try a sling. Would love to do it though cause make for some cool gifts and products to sell. Good luck to everyone.
Leather video coming soon! Stay tuned!
Cheers
I tried this yesterday using your settings on my d1 and it turned out fantastic. Thanks for showing this process.
Awesome!
And Cheers
My small business idea is going away gifts, plaques, etc. I'm in the military and people are always moving. So instead of having to find a place off base, I would just be a local engraver to help save time and money while supporting fellow military members and showing them the appreciation of their work and how much we will miss them.
Noice! I love it.
I know what it is to leave family behind on deployments so I appreciate your care. Good luck!
Small business idea with Xtool is helping me become a more creative person. I will start with things for the family and move on to craft shows by Christmas. This will be a life saver for me with a disability to make a bit of a income around the holidays
Awesome!
Have tried several ideas using my laser. Have the best idea has been to do anything from slate coasters to personalized leather goods. Upfront costs are a little higher, but with a higher versatility, your customer base will be much higher. Hodgepodge to reach the masses!!!!
That's a great idea!
"SMALL BUSINESS IDEA"
I’ve been a professional leatherworker for going on six years. I would love to add a 10 W X tool laser to my leather shop. This would greatly increase productivity as well as allow me to offer greater levels of personalization to my customers for their projects.
I would love to see more videos on your channel dedicated to engraving and cutting leather with your X tool D1 diode laser!
Leather engraving and cutting coming soon. Like I think Wednesday...LOL
Cheers
@@BuildDadBuild Sweet!
I'm wanting to get a small laser/leather and knife business started, . I can see being able to cut out thinner leather patterns with the laser and engraving my to be decidedl logo on the products along with maybe marking the knife handles with said logo!
Very cool!
Small business ideas for xtool is wedding decor. Table setting, place cards, signs, bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, engraved wedding photos. All stop shop!
I dig this idea. You could do package deals and sell multiple items at each sale!
Cheers
@@BuildDadBuild they call for a sign, up sell shot glasses, flasks, keychains. No limit.
small business ideas with xTool: I've got a mini/tabletop cornhole idea as one of my first projects.
Great idea!
I hope you have your FFL
Cheers!
@@BuildDadBuild I do
“Small business ideas”…..there, did I win? Hahaha! Hey man great videos I enjoy all your vids. Very informative but most importantly, hilarious! I have an Xtool D1 so good luck to everyone else on getting one. I use this 10w bad boy to custom build my PC’s and engrave images on the shells. I could use a honeycomb though.
That's awesome!
Cheers
You're killing me smalls! That tile looks amazing, can't believe how clean that came out.
It tripped me out too!
Cheers
I don't know about small business ideas, but for the tiles, leather, and especially the tumblers, This would greatly help my scout troop raise money for camping. We are from a low income area and need all the help we can get. Thanks
Good luck!
@@BuildDadBuild Thank you
small business ideas with xTool : is just to boost customability of products like engraving my bentwood rings.
Very cool!
I dig it
Small business ideas with X Tools!!!!! Love your videos Nick!! Your videos have helped me out a lot with other projects! Much love! Cheers!
Thanks Justin!
Cheers
Well, I about choked when I saw the price of that Enduramark stuff, but when I tried it, no way I will go back to using paint. This stuff is unreal. Thanks for the tip!
Small business ideas with X tool want to make coasters and engrave stuff
Small business ideas with xtool d1: making LARP weapons and armor implementing the flexible wood cutting techniques. Engraving large format images on the hoods of vehicles. Just 2 of the ideas I have floating around and experimenting with.
I dig it! Or...them! LOL
Great idea! Love it.
Small business idea with xtool: I’m using my xtool to cut and engrave leather to make hats, wallets, and watch bands. I also plan to dabble in some cutting/charcuterie board engraving! Truthfully I have many ideas I want to do haha. Have fun
Love it!
Awesome!
Small business ideas with xTool: Just started my own LLC! I' been using the hell out my rotary tool for custom tumblers. I've also been making custom leather hat patches.
I really enjoy your videos. Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks, Dave!

small business ideas with xTool...Left one is much better....I am brand new and have learned so much from your channel - Thank you
You're very welcome!
Cheers

LOL I wish I could give them out like that!
Cheers Mo
Love your videos!! My idea is doing monogrammed earrings filled with colorful resin! They are so light weight and beautiful❣️The possibilities would be endless!
Very cool!
Dumb question: What did you use to remove the paint? Thanks, I LOVE your videos. You are hilarious and a great teacher. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I use lacquer thinner. And thanks!
Cheers!!
small business ideas would be endless. looking at business cards, pics in would and acrylic. I'm just starting in this hobby and loving the things i can do with my laser. would like to also ask if you need zinc to work with ceramic tile why not use the higher zinc content in the cold galvanizing spray cause its like 93% zinc
I misspoke in the video. It's actually the Titanium Dioxide in the paint. I was thinking of marking metal. LOL
Cheers
Ok thank you. I just got my xtool d1 and I’m learning a lot by watching your vids. Is zinc good for marking metals other than stainless steel? I’ve seen where you have used dry moly lube on stainless and it worked amazing from what I could see on RUclips thanks again
Small business Ideas with XTool D1 10W laser ... thanks Nick, your videos keep me motivated...making standard puzzles and layered puzzles of animals and bugs and vehicles. Having fun at the same time.
My pleasure!
Cheers!
My small business idea is to make layered art using thin wood. I started doing art with paper but gluing it is a pain. Wood would be a more stable substrate to work with. I don’t think my idea is popular but I still wanted to share. Thank you for all your videos, Nick!
I like it, Miriam!
Cheers
Love your channel and your videos, I'd love more videos on trying to etch photos on glass if you've got any. I can do plates, bottles, jars but I just can't get anything to really work on photo frames with my xTool D1. Also thank you for pointing to the power setting in one of your videos I had been using my laser for a month without realizing that I purchased a 10w laser but they shipped me a 5w laser. They corrected the error super super fast and I've had much better luck with some of my projects since. You are awesome
Thanks brother! And stay tuned.
Cheers
I know stupid to comment on my own comment but again you taught me something I didn't know., Have light burn also and had no idea that I could do different portions of an etch at different power and speed settings in LaserBox Basic. I use two laptops when etching and my MAC just seems to hate Lightburn and it's the one I use the most with the Laser. I can't wait to try this when I get home
Dude!!! Your killing it!!! I can’t wait to see they Play Button hanging on your wall!!! Love this video!
Thanks, brother!
Cheers
Small business ideas with XTOOL D1…because I am 5’2 with eyes of blue, can slap harder than Will Smith, and drink whiskey while operating lasers…come on Nick, show me some brotherly love!
LOL Jon!
Cheers and good luck!
Small business idea with xTool D1! Great video! Gonna have to get some of that enduromark!! Your videos are always so entertaining!

small business ideas with xTool I do leather work so cutting and engraving leather with xTool D1 for the win. Coasters, hat patch's, hand bags, book covers, wallets and on and on. Maybe even engrave a leather cover flask.
Noice! And...leather video coming soon!

My small business idea with xTool is to make tiled for Mother's day and Father's day. Great video content!
Very cool!
I like it!
Titanium dioxide and isopropyl alcohol, mix in spray bottle and do 2-3 layers let dry and engrave like normal. It works far better and no need for chemicals to remove the paint. Just soap and water.
My small business ideas with xTool would be custom designs on coasters wood or tile, and getting epoxy involved in some way to really make them pop and stand out
Cool idea!
Small business ideas with xtool. Love the channel. My idea is to use xtool to cut, then laminate to create interesting projects.
Noice! Mandalas...Love them!
Small business ideas with xTool: I have many ideas...wood, glass, slate, tile engravings for coasters, signs, keychains, bookmarks, etc. Thank you for the chance to win!
Good luck!
Personalized cutting board and tumbler sets I've been playing with glass etching on my D1. Patiently awaiting 20W module now.
Great idea!
Small business idea with xtool would be children's puzzles, name signs, cake toppers, custom light switch covers
I like making puzzles with the D1!
Cheers
@@BuildDadBuild that's one of the thoughts I had for my girls 😁
I love this!
Hello, great video looking fir the name of pain you used on the second run
Absolutely love it, going to try it myself, once it stops raining! Lol
Awesome video! Would like to see the same tests, done with Lightburn
I think the stuff you're looking for is Rust-Oleum Cold Galvanize Spray. 90% zinc, single coat. 50% power. 1000mm/min. You can use water and a scrubby pad to remove it.
This stuff works better and saves a ton of time.
my business side is to make at home products that has a sense of art and that can be a conversation starter.
I like it!
Small business ideas with xTool!
I have been looking into using a laser to mark the hand stamped medieval style silver coins I'm starting to make, or even to decorate the leather coin pouches!
Awesome!
Small Business Ideas with Xtool: Making Metal & Leather Business Cards!
I dig it!
Small business ideas with X tool D1 ... thanks for the inspiration Nick!
I make custom concealment furniture. I love engraving on the front of them. I also love engraving on tile, glass, and anything I can. Really need the honeycomb. Thanks again for your insight. Fucking Merica!!
Cheers!
Good to know!
Cheers
I think a cool small business idea and is inline with the opening of the video is lasering the family crest on the bottom of babies feet! Ok maybe not a great idea or even a good idea, but it is creative!
I dig it!
My small business idea would be small inspiration tiles and signs, Xtool Rocks !!
Love it. Great idea!
Cheers
Small business ideas with xTool:
I'm building some extended range battery packs for my friend that's in a wheelchair.
Very cool
small business ideas with xTool.... Awesome video!!!!!!
Thanks Jorge!

Small business idea with xtool: custom leather patch work using small cuts of leather that could easily be engraved on and stitched into clothing and accessories like shirts, hats, and bookbags or even used as nice keyring when stitched into a small piece of cloth
Dig it!
Google images, homie!
have you ever tried spray sidewalk chalk to mask with
I have not.
