imo that was the one single use of the Chronosphere in the original game. Since the Chronosphere could only teleport one unit at once, it wasn't particularly useful, unless there was a lake or something next to the enemy base you couldn't normally reach.
@@Henskelion The Chronosphere is immensely useful if you have many MCVs deployed. Build an MCV, chronoshift it close or behind an enemy base, and spam defenses/production buildings in the heart of it and tear their base from the inside out.
There's an easy way out - just rush a team of light tanks to the ramp where MAD tanks detonate, let them stay below the mammothes but above the enemy base, this way you can destroy every MAD tank before they climb up to the top, and there will be relatively few enemies to actively hunt your tank squad. Reinforce them when needed, bring an APC full of mechanics with them if you like, and you can relax through this otherwise annoying mission.
Who used to love getting the spy on this game? Man this game was awesome, I gamed with my friend over at his house years before the live services came out. We were mystified
I have been asking on the Reddit if the remaster will keep the non-tech-revert (lack of a better word) after selling a tech structure. I got downvoted pretty hard and people argued that the tech has always been reverting because "otherwise you could just sell your tech building. That would be stupid". People just don't know how dawn and RA1 played and they are expecting it to revert. I wonder if they would even like the remasters and online if it is like this. I hope they fix it though, that it will revert in the remaster. What do you think RC1985?
Remastered will pretty much be a bastardisation of the original and I'm expecting it to be an RA2 with TD/RA units. Since the pros had almost no say in the game's development, we'll just have to adapt and make the best of what's given to us.
Saw some very dubious decisions here. Why waste time shooting tesla coils you already shut down by killing the power plants? Why sell the chronosphere when you could use it to speed up the final part (destroying the small base on the south) Why focus Heavy tanks over V2 launchers when they deal SO MUCH MORE DAMAGE (you took a pair of very unecessary rockets to some units. i will commend you on the usage of thieves, i never managed to make them work for me. Was going to ask why not keep tehc center for the satellite, but you obivously already know the mission inside out.
It’s been several years since I did this so I’ll answer to the best of my memory. I already have a large group of tanks so it doesn’t matter if the base is powered. RA is best done with tanks so it’s common to sell key structures including the construction yard to accelerate tank production. The tech Centre does not give the satellite in this mission. They made it that way because you need to get a spy in every enemy tech Centre to reveal the control facility.
hmm, never ever used thief's. always found them to be an overall useless unit. you just may have changed my mind on that. also only 7 days until the remaster launches woop woop!
Still gotta find a use for Mobile Radar Jammer, Mobile Gap Generator, Spy and Medic. Funny enough these are all Allied tech. And Iron Curtain feels very lackluster as well. Chronosphere has more uses.
Yea. The allies gear in RA1 was pretty useless. The iron curtain thankfully got improved in 2. The jammer and mobile gap, only have use against human opponents. Since the ai can see your every move.
That is because the game considers this like an upgrade. It was the same until cnc2ts, but in cnc3kw gdi got a big boost, nod had to have tech center up and running to build redeemer while gdi could sell its and still make the marv.
How do you make the cruisers aim so accurately? I've even tried force attacking the ground to try and compensate and they still miss like crazy. Also while I'm at it, thanks for uploading Your RA and TD runs. I don't think I would have finished the Allied or Nod campaigns without modifying your tactics. Allied mission 13 is awful. Nod mission 11 is frustrating without crippling the main GDI base. Though I almost did complete Nod mission 11 without using engineers on the GDI base at the start. Problems was I didn't kill the medium tank south of the river (map B) and all I had left over there was a single artillery. Would be nice if Nod understood the mystical technology to build helipads without needing to steal it from GDI everytime.
Tadferd cruisers are accurate when firing straight or 45 degrees. If they’re inaccurate make them force fire anywhere near the target. As for TD, it becomes really easy once you understand the (dumb) AI
@@TheCNCChannel ah the firing angle. Is it the angle of the guns to the cruiser or the cruiser to the target? The AI is very simple but they also have resources to burn since their harvesters are overpowered. I think this is why people resort to sandbags. I only did sandbag cheese on the last few GDI missions because I wanted to play with my food. Usually I just used them to build things farther away. Mostly what I stole and modified from your runs is sneaking engineers into the enemy's base to cripple building and unit production. I also learned that the best way to make money is to steal it, especially because of the enemy harvesters being so overpowered. I think my main issue is keeping infantry alive. Anytime I need to rely on infantry I either mass produce them or spend a lot of time saving and loading (Allied mission 13 is awful). Edit: Just rewatched. It seems like it's cruiser to target angle. Or to say that the cruiser and target need to have the same x or y coordinated, or the line between them has a slope of 1 or -1.
Revisiting the Red Alert 1 universe with better military knowledge, the Medium Tank cannot be the Abrams and the Heavy Tank cannot be the T-80. Based on the era, the most lore-fitting would be: M48 (or some modernized variant) as the Medium Tank - this would settle the part where the gun was either 90 mm or 105 mm as some modernized M48 used the 105 mm. T-55 (or some modernized variant) re-scaled for double barrels as the Soviet's basic tank. The concept of Heavy Tank would be deferred to another. When you have captured both sides' War Factories, the dilemma is whether to build $800 or $950 tanks. They are so close in cost and effectiveness they both almost if not make each other obsolete and clutter up your build menu. The solution is to introduce the M60 to replace the $800 option and remove the $950 tank to be replaced with an expensive $2,500++ Abrams that will become the new Heavy Tank. M60 (or some modernized variant) as the tank available replacing the Medium Tank and will have some areas slightly stronger, some areas slightly weaker than the T-55. Costs $800. Available when you have captured both sides' War Factories. Abrams as the new Heavy Tank in the game. Will be having heavy firepower and armor filling the Mammoth's role. The Abrams could even be double barreled as you have combined both sides' tech. Available when you have captured both sides' War Factories. Will cost $2,500 or above. Then the old Mammoth itself will be bumped up into a higher cost and power level. The Mammoth fills up a new power level and costs $3,500++
Is it just me or is the Command and Conquer Remastered exaggeratedly lowered down the legacy graphics? Because the graphics here on this video is much better compared to when you switch to legacy in C&C Remastered.
