just as c&c made a 3rd person game of their series, this also made an rts version of its own. i played army men 1, air attack 1 and sarge heroes all ps1 games. brings back good memories
RUclips recommended me this video and to be honest, I always used to watch this when I was younger, so seeing this game still be played by people just make kid memories flow back in
Then it's an honor to contribute to your nostalgia o7 I used to play it on the old family PC using a disk drive. I'm so glad it was made available again in a digital format.
recently started replaying this game and stuck on that villagers mission, i had a disk for this for my ps2 back in almost 2009-10 or something such nostalgia this game brings me
Yeah that mission is brutal for only being the 9th mission in the campaign. If you can destroy the barracks on the top-right of the map, it becomes a huge help since you only have to defend the left side of the road from there on out.
God I hated that mission so much! Within the last few years I played through the game again on my old PC and I just kept 3 huge squads and spread them out along the entire route, so basically a huge green wall of soldiers lol much easier that way
How do you get Army Men RTS to even work? I try to launch it and it never starts :( I get the loading icon and black screen, no matter what I do or change, it'll never work
I got it working no problem on Windows 10. Try opening the properties to the game's executable and trying the compatibility settings, specially the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for [Windows XP]" There's also the Steam forums: steamcommunity.com/app/694500/discussions/

This was done through LAN so there was no need for any extra tools. But by popular request, I'll have a video out on how to setup online multiplayer before too long.
As per the title, "LAN" means Local Access Network, meaning all of the players were connected to the same network router prior to joining the lobby.
