General: Great commandant, you have defended the base during 25 minutes, now we have to destroy their command post, I send you a MC... RC1985: Done General: Eeeeeer. RC1985: Promotion please. General: What is your order?
The biggest problem I find with this mission is the enemy loves to send stuff after the Ore Trucks if going for a conventional assault. Economy is so easily disrupted especially with their annoyingly endless reinforcements; though those can be stopped if the Radome is taken out and if the ore trucks remain intact a sizeable force to destroy the base can be harnessed. Still at least unlike "Hells Fury" in C&C its not nigh impossible to do if the enemy is left unchecked though can become extremely difficult but at least options are flexible. Hells Fury actually was looking to be a fun mission but it stopped being fun when they just launched nuke after nuke.... That's really unfair given the nukes supposed to be a one shot deal. Though I know that mission was pretty much; take these power plants out now or you're in for a helluva fight.
Sir he destroyed the enemy base with just 4 tanks, before his reinforcements even arrived. How would you rate his leadership? Ehh I give it a 27/100...
i've never done this mission till just now on the remaster and that command post is still there lol. Just when i managed to struggle my way to a big army i marched in and that was probably the 2nd building i destroyed. took the fun right out of it
I think leadership for Allies is ending with at least as much money as you started with. And for Soviets how many building you destroyed less destroyed buildings and units = higher leadership.
Revisiting the Red Alert 1 universe with better military knowledge, the Medium Tank cannot be the Abrams and the Heavy Tank cannot be the T-80. The weight classes were wrong. Based on the era, the most lore-fitting would be: M48 (or some modernized variant) as the Medium Tank - this would settle the part where the gun was either 90 mm or 105 mm as some modernized M48 variants used the 105 mm. T-55 (or some modernized variant) re-scaled for double barrels as the Soviet's basic tank. The concept of Heavy Tank would be deferred to another. When you have captured both sides' War Factories, the dilemma would be whether to build $800 or $950 tanks. They are both so close in cost and effectiveness that they both almost if not make each other obsolete and clutter up your build menu. The solution is to introduce the M60 to replace the $800 option and remove the $950 tank to be replaced with an expensive $2,500++ Abrams that will become the new Heavy Tank. M60 (or some modernized variant) as the tank available replacing the Medium Tank and will have some areas slightly stronger, some areas slightly weaker than the T-55. Costs $800. Available when you have captured both sides' War Factories. This M60 variant looks very much like the Abrams in RA1 cutscenes and fits! Abrams as the new Heavy Tank in the game. Will be having heavy firepower and armor overriding and filling the Mammoth's role. Available when you have captured both sides' War Factories. The Abrams could even be double barreled as you have combined both sides' tech. Will cost $2,500 or above. Then the old Mammoth itself will be bumped up into a higher cost and power level. The Mammoth fills up a new power level and costs $3,500++
oh and the AI there seems to be very proficient at that respect. There was one skirmish match.. i dropped paratroopers. a light tank came, my troops converge and... big mistake. The light tank insultingly just crushed them
Mechanic has the best voice lines in all of Red Alert :)
His laugh cracks me up everytime xD

Wow.....bravo, sir **slow claps** Btw....from around 07:08 the commands spoken matched the beat of the music! xD
lmfaooo that civi at 2:54 just making a MOCKERY of your tanks I love it.

I like that the Soviet Ore truck got in on the action. I picture it trying to bodyslam the tanks with its scoop.
The command post is destroyed! Sell everything and charge! :P
Heh, and I used to do this the hard way, taking an hour to build a base and army :P
Everyone attack!
What an amazing exploit. This mission is NOT easy the "usual" way.
Given how rigidly centralized the Soviet military was in real life there's probably quite a lot more realism to that scenario than you might expect.
Howdy? I'll get my ratchet. HAWT DIGGITY!
"Uh-Uh-Uh-Uh-Uh-Uhfirmahdiv!" x999999 :P

Great play. Aha that good ol' command system "Click, go there, no, not there!! Click Click Click Click "

this is my favourite so far. i never realised how easy this mission was with just four tanks
Epic rap at 7.10
At once, at once, at once!
XD
lol i scrolled down the comments as it happened
Leadership 27%
Bruh nah that was 1000%
Kevin Crabtree till this day I don't know how it's calculated lol
I believe Leadership is unit loss %? Economy is money made vs spent.
That's right, leadership is the % of units you have left!
If none of your units gets killed, then its 100%. I got it twice.
at once at once at once very well
Acknow... acknowled... affirma... acknowledg... yes, si... GOD DAMN IT LET ME FINISH A SENTENCE, WILL YOU!?!?!?!?!
*ratatatatatat*
*rip*
I love that the soviets just straight up don't attack your base cause they're like "NO. FUCK those tanks. Get them."
Lmao! Destroys command post, sell everything, and defend lmaooo! Tried this when I was a kid but I ended up failing

Soviet Tank: Mothah fuckah! That's my base!
I'll get my wrench
I really like those crushing infantry with vehicle sensation.
Just 4 tanks almost killed everything! If there were unit promotion mode in RA95 I am sure 4 tanks will kill everything!
I think leadership for Allies is ending with at least as much money as you started with. And for Soviets how many building you destroyed less destroyed buildings and units = higher leadership.
I thought it was a function of APM.

Ah, the Soviet Command Center !
Tried this. Couldn't keep my 4 tanks alive. Had to do it the old fashioned way! ;)
oh and the AI there seems to be very proficient at that respect.

The AI will squish your units only if you place them in the adjacent cells next to the AI tank.

what the hell was that goofy ass noise
the mechanic's laugh lmao. It's the best.
amazing
you realize if you put mechanic on guard he will repair all near by vehicles right?
If you're talking to the poster of this video I'm sure he knows more of this game than the rest of us
