    Ok a little bout the wiring harness. Most ef 89-91 should bolt right in but & kinda big but the obd ecu from 89-91 efi used low impedance injectors. Most ef also due to the low impedance injectors used a resistor box right at the firewall.
    High impedance injectors 92-00 & obd 1 or obd2 can use the ecu with vtec. There have been conversion kits for modding the li to hi & obd to obd1 but I don't know if they're still available. If you plan on using the engine harness from an eg or ek but maintain the ef body to ecu harness there will be a lot of work on swapping pins.
    Oh & you can keep the cable operated clutch if you get a mt from 89-91 ef. Only if you want to go an extra mile to swap over the hydraulic clutch from 92-00, well good luck with that. In addition the mt ef 89-91 has a engine/ transmission mount front cross member that is exactly what you have inside the 88. Only 92 & up moved the transmission mount forward & off to the side.

Track style racing/ auto cross. I hate lag LOL. Even in my mk7 gti with as much lag mitigation clean up I’ve done. Still lag :( I’d take right now small baby power over lag. @@TURBOTRISTO I can imagine. Going from Carb to EFI is a lot of work. Never done one myself since all the 4th gen Civic's in Canada were EFI. I had a dual carb EF6 CRX from Japan before, but never got around to swapping in EFI.

  • @Busydadgarage717
    @Busydadgarage717 2 года назад +5

    Where to start. Lol. Great project! Love the project here.
    The rear LCA's from Hradrace will work, or you must get coilovers specific to the 88.
    The EK rear trailing arms should bolt up, but you need to use all EF camber arms, tow arms, etc. However, you should also be able to swap over the hub assembly to the existing trailing arms to make the stock trailers disc.
    The DPFI to MPFI swap is fairly straight forward, but not sure about Dual Carb to MPFI.
    Probaly similar, but not sure.
    A possible good resource is in the link in my reply to this comment.

    Hardrace provides several lower control arms for the ef/eg/ek , they should work directly , some control arms , do add a lot of camber to the car. But both should bolt on!

I did a single carbi to EFI swap in my EG and boy it was a learning experience shout NZ for cheap EGs, had to change all the wiring in the entire car pretty much.
