Your channel is the best. It always gets me motivated to work on my car. It is a 1992 Lancer, in the US it's called Mirage I think.Also I think you should try getting one of these 90's mitsubishi. They're so similar to Hondas you wouldn't believe it. Try the Mitsubishi Colt with a 4g64 SOHC swap, It is a beast, and cheap!
Glad to hear that, its a great stress reliever getting outside. I wouldn't mind trying my hands at some other builds one day. I can't tell you if ill ever get there though.
The 4g9x is the gsr. The engines only sucked when the 4g94 came out. However. You should look up on youtube the 4g92 mivec dohc. They had this head in aus for a pretty penny but it bolts on the 4g93 and 4g94. Seriously its best sounding engine and mivec kicks in like a b series vtec but with a diff sound note. Im the pioneer of the 4g94 dohc swap on a lancer at least in the states i dont see anyone else cause its soo old.
@@Pinkarmada01 I wish mivecs came out here In Brazil. We only had the SOHC of everything except the 4g63 on the Eclipses. The best we have are the 4g9x hahah. My plans right now is to get the 4g64 SOHC which came in the Galant, is kinda cheap and a nice to tune.
I have the same problem with my civic coupe on the rear toe. Bought k-tuned toe arm and was about to bring the driver side in more but not to spec. Hoping to see the next video to see how you fix it.
Yes! Finally lol. I'm excited to start on my second EF! Got it for $600 rough shape but I am going to be racing it. It's still original D series 5 speed, want to go the boosted route for this engine just to see what she can hold.

I've yet to have to replace one and my new hatch has an oil light on but has plenty of oil. I'm hoping it's not the pump lol
Hey not sure what crank pulley your using but these superchargers should pull 5-6psi with a stock charger pully at lest my charger did I had z6 crank pully the charger might need a rebuildable they do sell a small pully on eBay now mine pulls 10psi hope this helps
Thanks for the input. I believe it might be the y7 crank pulley still. When I removed the pulley on the charger I measured it then looked online and the size was around 4psi. I'm happy where it's at for now. I'm hoping it runs fine and then I can make more power soon.

My standad top speed until now 190km, before 200km standad engine just piping system setting. Now caperator problem, 30yrs using, i already change anorther caperator model proton wira 1.5. , Pick up higher and top speed same.
On that toe issue i had this happen before and it was that i was using an integra compensator on the trailing arm and was too short so i switched back to the ef one and it was long enough so i didn't have the toe issue measure integra vs ef and use the longer one!! Trust me thats it!

I wish you would sand/prime/paint then matte clear the old parts so they would look hella clean next to the new parts. I'm a little OCD and always do that lol
I'd love to get to that stage. I'm a little more concerned with just getting it running and up on its feet as I'm so pressed for time these days in my everyday life. Hopefully I can get there sometime.
Hello how are you doing am putting a 94 engine gear box Honda Civic in a 91 Honda Civic body. I was wondering which kit I could purchases to get the job done.
The trailing arm is bend. I had similar problem on my disk brake trailing arm, lucky i didn't dispose my old drum brake trailing arm. What i did was swap over the the complete brake assembly from the disk brake trailing arm onto the drom brake trailing arm. And the problem wqs solved
Wanted to ask whats the measurement are what did u use to trace for the washer u made for the pulley? Have a kit I just installed myself and running into belt slippage..
Hey just curious, why do you use the stp xl filter instead of the oem honda one? It’s the same price and also available at autozone where you got the filter.
It was one of their specials they had at the time. I've been using a lot of STP filters on mine and my wife's daily for the longest time so I'm confident using them. We haven't had any issues and we put a ton more miles on our daily drivers than my toys ever see

I have a stock and pretty impeccable 89' dx that got stolen 2 days ago. It had 108,000 OG miles on its little engine and I had a long-term plan to upgrade it progressively. Heartbroken, needless to say, I started scrounging for another. I found a similarly unmolested, and low miles, 1990 Si. My question is how much should I pay for it? I know there's a lot of variables to consider, so I just based my offer on what I paid for the 89', $2000. It was mechanically and aesthetically as good as it gets for a car that old. I offered $3000. Is that reasonable? Funny side note, I missed a call this morning from an officer in a town a couple hours away. They found the 89' DX! I'm stoked, but now my wife is saying she would like to have one to, and doing the EF research has stoked my fire. Love your content by the way.!
Thats funny i just did a rear disk brake conversion on my 01 4 door civic lx and i have the same toe issue on my right rear i also adjust my toe all the way in and still bad. Im wondering if the hub is bent i do hear humming around 40-60mph left side is perfect. Let me know whats wrong with yours.
I have a quick ? my 90 ef I did a 0bd1 d16y8 swap and IV tryed everything to get it to stop running rich it has a map sensor code and vtec code that won't go away IV changed them both 2 times still rich I could really use some input here
There's a lot of debate online, some love it some don't recommend it. I've never had issues with it and seemed to help a small grind on a DA I used to own.
I've read regardless of mileage or use, they generally last 7-10 years. I'm not sure if that's the production date, but we're gonna let it ride anyway.

I highly suggest getting some ratcheting wrenches that have that swivel nech. I use them all the time.
I have a set of gear wrench ones, only use em every so often.

Z6 and y8 have a different offset on the jrsc at the pulley about 1/8-3/16 difference

The finish withstands brake fluid. I like the cardboard as I can just toss them when done.

I believe LHT Performing makes a custom setup, but there isn't an option that Jackson Racing ever made.

I measured my pulley. Then made a washer larger than it's diameter. I used a compass.

Check your wiring with a multimeter. Might not be the sensor at all.

Search online, I believe you can use a 94-01 integrity radiator and they make brackets for it too.

at 16:40, if my axle does that, is it busted? It only does that on the half shaft side of my CRX. brand new axle too!

Like a B swap. Shouldn't be an issue then. Try an AutoZone axle next. I have had great experiences with them.

The pulley looks like it's on backwards, might be why it's singing belts
It's not. It only fits on there one way. If it was reversed, it wouldn't line up with the tensioner or the crank pulley.
