Do we still can start do all this when my kid is 9 years old or is it too late for her? I feel guilty toward my oldest because I was in a dark place in my life when I gave birth to her, and I can see how she gets anxious very quick and she cares a-lot about what others say about her her little brother is so strong he talks about his emotions freely she hides inside her and I need to ask her so many questions before she starts to talk. And so many more.

Go to a family therapist to help you build a better relationship w her! It’s never too late. Our attachments styles can change even as adults. We are the product of how people treat us.

The brain is plastic and can be reprogrammed through consistency and love. It’s not too late. You can start by talking to your daughter and opening your heart saying that you are sorry that you were not fully present in her younger years in the way she needed you to be and make a commitment to be a better mom and build a better relationship. Let her hear it and see it and feel it from you and heal together. It’s not too late!
