This was a short and precise video. I got all my answers and have decided to upgrade to Apple watch series 8 stainless steel
I was going to just order online but I wanted to see them up close to compare both graphite and silver stainless rather then just seeing vids and pictures of them before I ordered, so went to the Apple Store, glad I did as I was going to get silver but for me it’s just way to shiney, you could say it’s almost a chrome finish, Still nice but I think more coloured bands go better with the graphite which is what I purchased.

Wow; that SS silver with silver Milanese loop looks great. I got the darker version (graphite in both) of the same thing. A friend is thinking of the gold option for each one, and that also looks really cool, but not something I’d personally go for. But I could picture myself going for this silver combo at some point in the future. I had the same kind of reaction towards the Ultra and that’s why I got the series 8. And, my upgrade to series 8 was rather significant; even more than going from a series 5: it is my *first* Apple Watch. 😃 That also informed my decision to stay away from the Ultra…for now.

Love the stainless 👌🏼. What size is your wrist? Mine is 6.4” (16.3cm) and I’m still not sure if I should get the 41mm or 45mm. I used to wear bigger watch but with traditional rounded. Apple Watch is totally different. 45mm looks good on you but a little too big and I think it’s okay if you prefer bigger screen.
Same, I can’t decide. I like the size of the 41mm. But on the 41mm the loop looks alot thinner/narrower (less masculine?). It seems like the sportbands in most pics/reviews make the 41mm look bigger. But with the milanese loop it’s the opposite. 😅
On 45mm the milanese loop looks more masculine (in my opinion). But the watch size itself is more in your face and maybe uncomfortable while sleeping?

Just a minor observation about the Milanese loop: I noticed that yours is installed so that you pull the magnet end ‘down and around’ from top of watch. I saw another video, and that reviewer had it set up the same way. However, if you look at the little illustration that comes with the band (I actually looked at it since I’m a new Apple Watch user 😁), it shows that the band is installed so magnet is pulled ‘down and around’ from bottom of watch as opposed from top of watch. I guess it really makes no difference, right?
The magnet is supposed to come down from the top towards you but it doesn’t matter it’s just better that way
@@zadynplays8047 Yes, I agree that it doesn’t matter. But my point was that if you look at the illustration that a Apple provides, and follow those directions, it calls for the installation to be done so that magnet comes down from bottom. If you still have that insert from the original boxing take a look and you’ll see what I’m describing.

@@zadynplays8047 OK, I see. What is the issue for you that determines the better look? Is it where the magnet end is positioned when the band is fully installed on your wrist? In other words is it less visible when doing it the way you are doing it? As you know there is only one length per watch face size for this strap. With my wrist size, when installing the band so magnet is pulled from bottom, the magnet ends up pretty much in the middle of the underneath of my wrist, so it’s pretty unnoticeable.

I agree! My Series 5 stainless steel Graphite is still clean!
I will go for silver
graphite looks like plastic. I used my silver series 4 stainless steel for 4 years, even though it got scratches, but it is still very shiny. Silver is much more jewel like than graphite. You can always polish the silver version if you really want.

the only people who should upgrade are people from a series 3 or under. series 4-6 are identical with some features most people don't care. so in my opinion you should only upgrade the watch ones it stops getting software support
