The quality of the videos over the last couple years have just been blowing me away. That top down setup is sick!! And lining up the siren of the watch with the music was a really, really nice touch. Nothing average about these videos. Just sayin.

Awesome review! If you don’t want your screen interfered with while you’re working out, just activate water lock. It disables all touch input until you push and hold the digital crown for five seconds.

The flashlight button on the watch is great. I use the light on my series 5 all the time but having a dedicated button would be handy. Another useful feature on the iPhones people forget is "Back Tap" which you can assign to the flashlight and activate by double tapping the back of your phone to turn on or off at will. Great video by the way, keep it up.

Great video! A workaround for hitting that Digital Crown is to go into your Watch app and change the orientation so the watch is still on your left, but the crown is too. That’s what I’ve done with all my Apple Watches. It only takes a minute to get comfortable using it in that orientation.
Great review. I started wearing my Apple Watch crown facing up my up as it kept pausing when doing work outs, especially yoga or hiit - when I’m bending my wrist. It really helped.

Love mine and use the flashlight however if it’s on sleep mode , you have to hold the crown a few seconds to unlock then press the quick button again which is annoying. Love the larger text and bright display in the day. Definitely a keeper and I’ve had an Apple Watch from series 0 and changed to upgrade almost yearly.

Great video, I think that by adding an additional color like graphite and making a 45mm version maybe for the ladies and people with not so large wrists I think it would accommodate more people, not everyone has line backer wrists so that would be nice and accommodate more people. For me the size isn’t too bad but a graphite or matte black color would suit my style better. Kinda like how Samsung did with the galaxy watch 5 pro has two colors. Cheers 🎉

It’s kind of tricky to price compare the Ultra to the 8 in my opinion given the standard option on the Ultra vs the variety on the 8. At minimum, add the cellular cost to the 8 before comparing. Either way, it’s a noticeable difference in the price between the two but it starts to form a clearer picture when comparing spec for spec.

I love my Ultra and it is my main watch. I will be using this watch as my secondary dive computer. It’s great that I can include my dives because those are workouts 😂.

I've just ordered one. Can't wait to get it. Don't forget, like me, when you have a new gadget you'll probably be messing with it more than usual at first, so the battery will probably be even better moving forwards.
Siren would be a good alarm when your hung over and have to get up for work LOL!!!
A very good, honest review! I like the tech aspect of it, but I'm like you and not an outdoorsman type. It is a worthy splurge to make and this may help in my decision to upgrade from my Series 4. Not going to lie, that price tag is a little up there.
The way points is great for festivals, events, or ppl who are bad at finding their parking spot. The alarm sound is great for ppl who drive cars or ride motorcycles in case they crash or land in a ditch. Especially in the winter.

You can change the location of the Digital Crown by changing orientation or you can turn on water mode to keep from accidental presses of the buttons.
Great video. Quick tip for locking the watch while working out. After starting the workout, water lock the watch.

I ordered one from Verizon. I was told it wouldn’t ship until December 16th. Last week I got a shipping confirmation and it arrived last Wednesday 🤣😂

I’ve had an Apple Watch since the first iteration but battery life has always kept me from actually using it.. I’ve instead used everything from whoop to fitbits to withings because I have so many devices to charge I really don’t need yet another one. I turned off cellular (I’m with my phone most of the time) and always on screen and have had this last anywhere from 3-5 days. Granted I don’t use it massively like many people do but it gets the job done and I LOVE it.. the size was a bit hard to get used to but with the right straps that don’t extend out over the edge - like the leather link or the original rubbery style band it hugs the wrist perfectly.. I have just shy of a 7” wrist…
For workouts being paused because the wrist accidentally hits the crown, I ran into this a lot and I went into settings and set the crown orientation (this is a different setting than which wrist you're wearing it on) and it's never happened again. I got used to it in a day, highly recommended for anybody who's running into same issue
you can also just put it on water lock mode. that's what I do
The back tap feature on the iPhone is kinda like the action button. You can set the back tap on your iPhone to make the flashlight go off if you want it too

I had the same issue when working out. Switched the watch so that the dial was on the other side on my wrist and in settings and problem solved.

It's definitely more than I need, but I still want one. (I'm fine with my SE, though.) Wouldn't turning on the Water Lock when you have the workout gloves on help with those accidental crown turns?
If you don’t want to accidentally press the crown button or other apps on your watch, use the watch proof mode it will lock out your watch button and apps until you do a deep long press of the crown and then it will expel water if you had gotten it wet. Otherwise, it will serve your purpose while working out at the gym or doing other activities
Best use I’ve found for the Action Button addresses your issue of accidentally ending a workout: set it to launch a shortcut that activates the water lock.
You can lock the watch during workouts. You swipe to the left where the pause and so on re and there is a „lock“ option

My series 3 would bump against my cycling gloves because it would slide down with the silicone type strap. Went to a fabric strap and never had that sliding problem. I have the ULTRA with the Alpine loop.

Just found your page. Cool video. Thank you. I remember those parent/teacher times with my husband, thankfully those days were over after third grade for our oldest. We sent to homeschooling for both our children. Anyway, I think this Ultra will be huge for my small wrists, but I plan on getting it anyway. I haven’t purchased a new Apple Watch since the #5 so I seriously need a new one. I still need to check it out in person, but I think I’ll get it. I don’t do all the athletic stuff, but I’m loving the siren…that’s what sold me, especially being a female, and if I’m not with my husband, that siren I’ll just set off if I feel threatened. Also, I love the waypoint, unfortunately I’ve forgotten where I put my car a lot of times…LOL! This watch kinda makes me want to dive and maybe do a triathlon, or something along those lines. Not saying it’s going to happen, but maybe.
Still waitnig on mine. Yes the battery life is the key seller and the large screen. I also think it is a great price point for the watch and its features.

Use the water lock feature while working out to stop any accidental triggers, pauses, etc.

People go try it on before writing it off I'm coming from the 45mm 7 so it's not that much of a stretch for me with that said I'm a female 4"11 and pushing around 120lbs and I'm rocking it I actually forget it's on my wrist until I get a message or call.
