  • In this short video we got the M37 running with the new rebuilt distributor and points and new spark plugs waterproof plugs were no good. Then taking a partial set of screw on wire connectors Ron remade them to fit snugly on the distributor so we had no loss of spark and what you see was the result.

Yes it took rebuilding the distributor as well as making custom plug wires for it. It does run the way it should. The first time since it was parked in 1974. Not running bad after 50 year nap. Thanks for watching

Yes it sounds the way it should now because we got the timing closer this time. Getting the wires on the the distributor to have screw on cables made a real solid connection that wont pull out.

its Alive and now running the way it should be. Its running strong. After a day of hacksawing the old waterproof connectors to make them fit the new wires to clips to fit inside the spark plug boots plus new spark plugs and a rebuilt distributor. It is now working the way it should be. Happy Easter to you and your family Slim.

yes we were able to get the timing sorted out most of that was from the plate that holds the points slipped and tilted sideways which stopped it from running. we still have a slight vacuum leak but it is running much smoother than before. No hint or any sputtering or back fires.
