I always eat veggie samosas. From this one place they had chicken, beef and Veggie samosas. I always picked veggies because they are the cheapest. I eventually just started making them my self. But I had beef recently from that place and it was awesome. Now I'm here to make my own at home.
Hi this is a question I get a lot and I miss some of the many comments i receive. I get my utensils from different places and one store i mention is gg’s household and kitchenware on FB
Am a New Sub here..AMAZING💯God Bless you chef Raphael for taking your time to make us better home cooks😘Kindly Chef can i use the same reciepe n ingredients for chicken filling and what other spices can i add?Thankyou
Always wondered why my pockets ended up being soggy and yet it was the water from the mince, lol. Any ideas on how to deal with frozen mince not to generate all that water?
Chef Raphael, new subscriber here. Excellent videos. I first watched your video for making the bread for the Samosa. What type of oil are you using? I live in a apartment & would want a oil that's not going to be too smoky. Thank you.
I am American, so can you clarify what is meant by "mincemeat"? When I look this up, it is defined as something with a bunch of sweet spices, nuts, etc, and traditionally made with mutton. Do you mean this, or just ground meat? I am using ground lamb. Do you have any spice suggestions? Thanks. Love your channel!
Don't add oil and cook...use a little fatty mince and Cook with that fat and onion and greens got water... Black pepper powder..garlic and ginger powder and green pepper paste...and cook on low till mince cooked and most water evaporates..can add a little paprika for enhanced flavour..and green chilli paste instead of green pepper paste...salt... don't use onion and shallot..use either... it's nice to microwave mince with ginger garlic salt pepper powder...just to stiffen it and dry the water slightly when washed mince 😂.

Add bits of cheese but make sure you close it real good otherwise it might leak! Cheddar cheese goes nice with beef!
Am having so much fun with kenyan food i love it
Making this too for my American born and bred kids. A taste of home - 🇿🇼 . They will love it! Was always my favourite...
Proudly Zimbabwean 🇿🇼, also making it for myself in the land of Kenyatta, which i could make it for my wife and kids stuck in Québec with this Corona

Can you use cumin powder if you do not have cumin seeds
I think you can but Chef Raphael said the seeds are more flavourful
Chef Raphael, new subscriber here. Excellent videos. I first watched your video for making the bread for the Samosa. What type of oil are you using? I live in a apartment & would want a oil that's not going to be too smoky. Thank you.
I think he's using Rina
@@avamarie5 Had to look it up--what is meant by it being a vegetable oil. Rina is derived from palm oil, which they claim is a healthy oil.
Thanks.

Welcome!
This is a must try! Wish you put up the amounts of each ingredient.
What
Me too Yvonne its a bit tricky eye balling the ingredients and getting the same results as Chef Raphael’s.
What's the main reason of using lean minced n with fat.
The meat with fat might be too oily when cooked hence the lean mince
What is corianda
Dhania

Dear you can get in a supermarket or Eastleigh Market they are all over in the spices shop and the least price is 50shs for a packet.
Can i add a lil Serrano peppers ... I've taste somosas had perfect cumin and a hot spice taste to it
it eould be good to know the amounts please
I thought samosas are only made with leek onions, kumbe I can use any onion
Leek is a type of onion and can be used to bulk up the samosa and have more of the mix to make more samosas
i think cilantro not coriander?
Thank you
What if you dont got cumin seed??
All Indian spice shop have it

It's ground meat
Use a curry powder or masala you can get from an Indian speciality store....minced meat=ground meat
Minced meat is what Americans called grounded beef.
No spices??
Very thing was perfect but put the oil in the pot !no no no!Remember you are going to deep fry them. But still straight and clear.
?
Wea do yu get CUMIN SEEDS From?
Doryn you can get from a supermrkt, spices section or if you know Eastleigh Market they are all over in th spices shop from 50kshs for a packet
