Would have to be split in the calendar... when I was there in 2017 they basically said that the reason for losing the GP was low attendance - Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are a 45 minute flight or couple hours by car away. everyone went to the glitzy and shiny Singapore, both Malaysians and Singaporeans (and anyone else in the region). They cannot coexist, especially if they are a week apart.
The amount of turns, most of them being high speed ones, the legendary overtakes, the sheer skill needed to win which makes it possible for somebody other than verstappen to win.
I live in the USA and feel that there should be a rotation of venues for F1 races. I would like to see F1 back at Watkins Glen, INDY road circuit, and many others! That is why I would like to see a rotation of 2 or 3 races each year in the USA.
I think F1 needs a rotation system for tracks, of some sort. For example a number of fixated tracks that occur every year (in my opinion it would be Suzuka, Australia, Canada, Monza, Monaco, Catalunya, Silverstone, Azerbaijan, Interlagos, Singapur, Abu Dhabi, Austin), and a number of 10 tracks from the pot of potential tracks that interchange each other. You can make triplets of tracks that rotate in and out of the calendar like (Imola, Mugello, Spielberg; Portimao, Madrid, Jerez; Istanbul, Hungaroring, Balaton Park (not Grade 1 yet but easy to upgrade); Kyalami (see Balaton Park), Sepang, Shanghai; Zandvoort, Spa, Nürburgring; Bahrain, Qatar, Jeddah ; Miami, Las Vegas, Mexico; Paul Ricard, Magny-Cours, Estoril; Indianapolis, Fuji, Korea; Bahrain (alt.), Paul Ricard (alt.), Aragón). The way my example works, there would be 22 races in the calendar each year with 40 tracks featured in a 3 year timespan (the alternative variants are only in the calendar if the regular track isn't present). I admit I was two tracks short to make it 10 triplets, thats where the alternative variants are from.
Yeah I agree but from what I’ve heard I think that this wouldn’t work because of the money and contracts that get put in place - it costs so much and there’s a lot of politics involved. I think The Race have mentioned some bits on this before
@@jakemorganGP I'm pretty shure the F1 could make it possible if they wanted to and the drivers would be pretty happy too, with fewer races on the calendar. Unfortunatly the greed reigns supreme.

I really like Hockenheim, but if I had the choice, I'd actually prefer the Nürburgring as the track for the German GP. Hockenheim is a good modern F1 track, a mix of medium to high speed corners with a couple of heavy braking zones as well. However, this applies to many other tracks as well (not that that's a bad thing, it obviously works well). The Nürburgring is something the F1 calendar doesn't really have; a high downforce track that isn't narrow. Monaco and Hungary are F1's staple high downforce tracks, and Zandvoort has snuck into that camp as well since its return. But they're all quite narrow and it's kinda hard to overtake there (I know Zandvoort last year had the most overtakes ever, but that was due to the really unpredictable weather). The Nürburgring is still a high downforce track, but it's wide enough to allow for side by side racing even with today's huge cars.
Haven't Watched yet but my list would probably be: India (MotoGP Is Now There So Hopes Are Higher) Kyalami (#RaceInAfrica) Portimao (One Of My Favourite Circuits In General) Mugello (Forza Ferrari) Sepang (See Portimao) Indianapolis ( ;) ) Turkey (See Sepang)

Those are some goated mentions here are some of the circuits I would bring back: Portimão, Hockenheim (alternating with Nürburgring), Mugello(alternating with either Monza or Imola) , and Indianapolis in place of the Miami Grand Prix.
Unpopular opinion: have 10 tracks with the most tradition that are locked in the racing calendar (like Monaco , suzuka, monza,..) and than we got 20 tracks that are rotating (giving a total of 20 races). Its a win win. Tracks like nurburgring or Hockenheim arent in the racing calendar because they couldn't afford the licencing fees. But if they have to pay it only onece every two years, a race would be much more affordable. Also it would bring much more variety into every season.
5 tracks F1 needs - Buenos Aires, Argentina (Latin America must be a top priority for Domenicali) - Portimao (they don't call it the rollercoaster for a reason) - Aragón, Spain (modern Tilkedrome w G1 license, should be a good fit) - Buriram, Thailand (see Aragón, also located in a huge market) - Somewhere in Africa

Most people still don't understand that istanbul Hockenheim/nurburgring, sepang all these tracks don't have the financials necessary to go back to F1 this is one of the reason why they're being replaced by street circuits. I know it's stupid but it's the sad truth of traditionnal circuits.
Before Singapore street race, there was no problem to pull the crowd and spectators which from some neighbouring countries especially Singaporeans. But after f1 gives license to Singapore, everything became worse every year. F1 should consider at least to make Singapore and sepang to split every season which could saves the sepang race because Malaysia can't compete with Singapore. Singapore can splash the money every year even if it not profitable for them to host f1 because their target is to promote tourism but for Malaysia we can't afford to splash money each year if the crowd don't come. The ticket price on average is too pricey for any Malaysian to watch live, it's like your one whole month salary for a ticket. And f1 should stop all this street circuit except the legendary Monaco. Many nation invest a lot to make a grand circuit to be able to host f1 but in the end they got to compete with street circuit which need lower cost to built but they use money to pay hosting license. This is injustice. Look at how many f1 circuit has been abandoned but they are just newly built. F1 just thinking about their revenue without consider how much those country losing to just to join the f1 family.
To be fair, it's the track promoters who canceled the Malaysian GP iirc, not F1. The promoters barely broke even on the Malaysian GP, while MotoGP was always their bread and butter, so it made more financial sense for them to focus on MotoGP.
That’s strange. Is it to do with people riding Honda and Yamaha mopeds out there more than cars? Or maybe just the sheer cost to pay to be on the calendar maybe
@@jakemorganGP the Malaysian government had to bankroll every race from 2001 or 02 there, they were paying US$60mln hosting fees for raceday attendances of about 60k
Sepang suites those cars so good. It's wide and has a lot of big chances of overtaking and switchbacks. Nurburgring is cool, unique, but i almost like Hockenheim better.
Sepang is a great track, but the problem now is that in modern F1 if it starts even spitting with rain they seem to red flag it and wait for it to stop.
While it is nowhere near ready to host F1, based on layout alone I want to see Ozarks International Raceway raced at. Of the actual circuits mentioned, Istanbul Park would be my top pick. Realistic picks of tracks not in the video: 1. Macau would be crazy fun... and dangerous; 2. Mount Panorama is a pipe dream; and 3. Brno seems like a circuit F1 would be good at. All these are Grade 2, though.
Too many modern circuits have the tarmac run off areas with no gravel traps and corners with no names. I do like Sepang with unpredictable weather and a good layout making great racing.
Considering WEC and F1 combined, for US races, better replace Austin (and LV) with a single location: why not use Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade route (NYC) to make F1, FE, F2, F3, IndyCar racing as well as for WEC endurance round in NA? Maybe call it 1930 (miles) Macy’s Thanksgiving Classic (lasting approximately 12 hours) :)
Would be awesome but I think the track is a bit too narrow for F1 cars - run off and barriers are just a financial thing and Seca has so much run off I think it would be ok - make it happen @F1!
@@jakemorganGP The simple answer would be to significantly reduce the size of the cars in some future spec. A LOT of tracks would be way better if they weren’t so fat.

Portimão, Portugal
Most people still don't understand that istanbul Hockenheim/nurburgring, sepang all these tracks don't have the financials necessary to go back to F1 this is one of the reason why they're being replaced by street circuits. I know it's stupid but it's the sad truth of traditionnal circuits.
It’s so true. It’s such a shame though - Although Sepang is owned by Petronas so surely they could afford it? So strange
To be sincere, it is Singapore f1 street race which killed the sepang f1 race.
1st Qiddiyah is already gonna be on calendar in 27 But seriously ENOUGH OF USA TRACKS WE HAVE ENOUGH ALREADY
V8s or /10s/12s and manual gearbox. Are 2 things missing. Also miss Istanbul, which was a great track.
In my experience, f1 currently is just focusing on money and adding tracks which pay huge loads of it to the calendar
so true and so sad to see - I'm currently making a video on the rise of F1's street circuits - stay tuned 👀
Not a return, but could we get F1 at Leguna Seca? Maybe the coolest series of turns in motor sport.
A LOT of tracks would be way better if they weren’t so fat.
well, with now 24 Races, you could go up to 32 tracks with every track getting 4 races in 5 years - and you can remove some stinkers like monaco, barcelona, abu dhabi or imola, then you have room for more new tracks or old ones to come back
0:27 nightride?
One of my favourite channels fr
@@jakemorganGP same!
A modified Korea , Malaysia and hockenheim for me personally
Mugello, Hockenheim and Istanbul are my Favourite tracks and none of them is on the calendar
So sad. They are all amazing tracks. I was like top 500 on the F1 2020 time trial at hockenheim because I used to love sweating that track so much
Am I saw it correctly, the grand stand at Instanbul is empty af?
Was during the Covid season so no spectators allowed
@@zenokada2278 ah I see.
As much as i love the nurburgring, if germany gets a spot on the calendar again it has to be hockenheim. It has objectively better racing
It’s a great track tbf. My reference for fan opinions showed that fans voted nurburgring higher tho 🤷🏻♂️. But Hockenheim is one of my favourite tracks for sure
Bring back the Norshchliefe, original Spa - those are track that will sort the men from the boys (espesially if the original safety features are employed.
I would have loved to see F1 or MotoGP race at Kymiring😢
The biggest problem right now is that Liberty Media is American. They don't car about great racing anywhere that isn't in the U.S., just money. As a Canadian, I'm surprised they haven't got rid of Montreal yet.
Magny Cours also needs to be back.
I miss Nurburgring gp, hockenhiem and magny Cours 😢😢
Same 🥲
'As fans we should really have a say in what tracks F1 drives at'
F1 is a publicly traded company, they'll follow the money as that all the shareholders care about
It’s sad but true
Just listen to those engines! That’s what I miss!!!
honestly if the german gp returns, i prefer hockemheim but a hockenheim nurburgring switch like back in 2008-2013 is good imo
Hockenheim the old track I want to see back, sepang is really nice that true,
Nurburgring, Sepang, Istanbul Park, Magny Cours all in for me. Miami, Las Vegas, Jeddah, Lusail, Paul Ricard bye.
the F1 calendar could be so good. I would replace or add/remove these tracks:

@onlyforthegang 🤣
@@onlyforthegang we don't need a race in the Middle East. there still tracks in South America, Afrika and Asia in my list
Watkins Glen and South Africa
Yes 👏🏼
What about Portugal?
I went off of the racefans.net’s ‘rate the race’ and these three had the highest votes
@@jakemorganGP what is your opinion on the Portimão track where they raced in 2020 and 2021?
@azeiiteiropt2886 love Portimao. Love Portugal - the drivers loved it, it had great racing, the infrastructure for fans is there (look at MotoGP) - definitely worth getting back on the calendar if possible
I want back Hockenheim..
Same 😭
@@jakemorganGP What about Istanbul Park? #TurkishGP
@@juan833blue he mentioned it already in the video
what is the first track in the thumbnail? like the second is turkey and the third is the nürburgring ring but i cant get the first one
The first one is also Nurburgring GP I think lol (icr which tracks I used 😂). End of sector 1 downhill hairpin into sector 2
We need hockenheim, but the old hockenheim
We need a German, French and South African GP....
I think the Nurburgring is too narrow for modern f1 cars
The GP track?
@@jakemorganGP yeah I feel like it’d just be hard for wheel to wheel stuff
@@jakemorganGP because of how heavy the cars are and how wide they are now
@vinnievinnie-sj5kr potentially. But hopefully with the smaller 2026 cars it wouldn’t be as bad… maybe? 😅
