Not sure about Estoril either. It always seemed a bit of a Budapest where it was very difficult to overtake. Would love to see Donnington Park back. Towards to end of Imola's run it also seemed to be processional, though I do remember some great racing there in the 80s.
Ain Diab Phoenix Long Beach Road Atlanta Sebring Jacarepaguá (they could make a street circuit in the olympic village, following the layout) Oscar y Juan Galvez (including the old high speed corner) Kyalami old Hockenheim
Charade, even in it's current layout is one of the most beautiful circuit ever. Such a nice mix of corners, and being on the side of an old volcano makes for a great scenery. I love that track but its neighbors doesn't agree because of the "noise"
One incident happened in *Sepang SIC* was that one part of circuit was raining heavy enough for tyre change and yet the other part was dry. It really gave the drivers and each team great challange how to figure this out.
Estoril and Algarve. Though, Esotril, Algarve and Catylunya all look the same. @@IanMrozewski Would the kink actually be that dangerous, with the insane amount of downforce a modern F1 car produces? Spa, Suzuka, and Montreal already have more dangerous sections, surely? Nurburgring and imola are excellent tracks which are sorely missed today. Sepang as you said is probably the best of the modern tracks and we don't go there!!
To host it was not very worth since the maintenance is too high. This happened due to pricey ticket. The locals aren't rich compared to western or european society but the price are based on these westerners standard.
I love low downforce circuits so that I could hear the engine going at full throttle for a longer period. Here are my pick: 1. Pre-2002 Hockenheim (with forest straight sections each followed by a chicane). Very unlikely to return. 2. Indianapolis (Last corner is a banked turn that continues to a long straight). Unlikely to return. 3. Sepang (Has two long straights separated by a hairpin). Still possible to return.
Leonazar Corro Indianapolis’s new owner has opened talks about a return to F1, as he wants to see F1 return to the circuit. The circuit is still FIA Grade 1 so would need no changes. The banked turn would not likely return though as there’s a new complex of turns that can allow the circuit to bypass the tune on the GP circuit and if the traditional GP circuit now. It’ll be interesting to see if anything materializes
The Indy GP circuit now has a part that misses the banked curve. They should have put it in after the 2004 race when Ralf Schumacher had that accident that caused him to be replaced by Gene and Pizzonia.
