@@On_Track_91 Yeah, i'm not lying. Monaco because I think no one can remove it (at least so far) , and Abu Dhabi because the current layout is more better than the old one, but indeed, these two (Monaco and Abu Dhabi) it's not fit at all for 2022-2025 cars.
For me, the main reason why race in Catalunya and Abu Dhabi is the cars. 2022-2025 cars is too big, not great. If F1® cars dimention can back to at least 2009-2016 cars, it will be more better racing. For México, yeah the track design is not great. It's need to be changed. For Monaco, it's combined between two reasons that I mention at earlier.
Agree with most of this, but was interested by the objection to Monaco. This seems to be one many make but I always feel misses the point. We want each track to bring a new challenge, and you mentioned about how tracks are to drive. For me, Monaco is more like watching an F1 rally. It's genuinely exciting to watch the racing as they push for times and to not break their nerve. Pretty much all your scores though, totally agree. I was still stuck after the 1996 Spanish GP hoping for a good race out of that track for years until suddenly it occured to me..... this track sucks lol
So I previously liked Monaco and gave it a 7.5 for it's uniqueness etc. However over the last two years, have realised that an interesting race (as in remotely interesting) is completely dependent on if it rains
@@On_Track_91 I do see your point, but I think that depends again on what you would see as interesting. If the perfect balance is overtaking / driving skill, in the same way I would agree with you on Las Vegas for epic battles, I would feel the same about Monaco for epic jeopardy. If that makes sense :) . I'm excited even when they're not overtaking, because anything could happen!
@@On_Track_91 Part of the race weekend is quali though and that’s always super exciting, how much do you see drivers push etc. then in the race you see strategy and limits come into play, because of quali/strategy there is always someone pushing through the field. I also find it interesting that for a lot of other circuits you mention throwing changing weather in there as a plus point but totally disregard for Monaco, I think having Monaco lower than Miami etc is unjust and I’d say anywhere from a 6.0 to a 7.5 is a fair judgement of the race weekend. Monaco isn’t about the excitement of overtakes but it is about suspense, anyone can hit a barrier at any point, just like horror movies aren’t all about jump scares, some are more drawn out psychological thrillers, I’d put Monaco in that category personally. Loved the list and video idea! Earned a new subscriber
@@On_Track_91there are way two improve this one. 1. Have it one on simulators with no damage. Or 2. Make the cars have manual gear sticks for this race you would definitely have more mechanical failures. By the way great video did not agree with all scores but could see where your coming from.
@@On_Track_91The race itself can be a bit boring (or is boring) but qualifying is really nice to watch at the track. Especially outside of swimmingpool (grandstand O). The speed in the first chicane is really insane. The atmosphere during the weekend is also really nice, the track opens up every night and parties are being held at the track. Unfortunately ticket prices have increased a lot in Monaco compared to 2022 when I was there for the last time. And when free practice was still on Thursday (back in 2019), Friday morning was free of charge, you could sit on any grandstand you liked for free practice of Porsche Supercup and F2 sprint race. Those were the days. 😉 For me it is a bit been there done that but I think I will go there again in a couple of years.
@@On_Track_91 agree with almost all of it except Monaco. Having the best qualifying of the year should count for more. Netherlands is usually underrated and Silverstone is usually overrated.
Great take down. Thank you. Here's hoping this year's racing includes a few more winners. At least to provide a break between the playing of the Netherlands National Anthem.
Let me do this list but how most short videos do it. Bahrain - "It was perfect... perfect, everything down to the last minute details." Saudi Arabia - "I mean it's alright, like." Italy - "It was perfect... perfect, everything down to the last minute details." Azerbaijan - "I mean it's alright, like." Singapore - "WHOOOOOOOO!!!" USA - "WHOOOOOOOO!!!" Mexico - "It's the biggest piece of dogshit." Brazil - "That's why he's the goat, the GOOOOOOOAT!" Abu Dhabi - "It's the biggest piece of dogshit." (I didn't bother with Las Vegas and Qatar as they haven't been on the calendar long enough to get a true idea if they're good or not. I also just want to clarify a few things. With Imola, the cars have outgrown that track. Monaco is all qualifying, we know this. Belgium would be ranked higher, but the past few years have been pretty shit. Azerbaijan is only crazy when safety cars get involved, and my worst track used to be Monaco, now it's Abu Dhabi. Monaco has an excuse, Abu Dhabi doesn't. Also what happened there in 2021 makes me want to see this track fall into a giant sinkhole.)
Love this list. Think you were a tad harsh on Monaco but would rather see it lower than higher because of how bad racing is. I also love zandvoort so glad you appreciate it too
I've been to Interlagos last year, what was that? My childhood dream was achieved! I absolutely loved that! If God allows me to be there again, I'll be very happy for sure! Thanks for showing love for this circuit!
I believe Circuit de Catalunya is overhated, I mean it doesn't help it suffered that awful last corner for too many years, and it doesn't always give great racing but it's criminally underrated and deserves to stay in the calendar much more than glorified parking lots such as Miami or dogshit tracks for F1 such as Qatar's.
I grew up less than an hour from COTA. My dad took me and my mom on a trip to see it being constructed when I was very little because he had bought seats in advance. I saw Kimi Raikkonen win before my own eyes when I was 11 as a young Ferrari fan. Last year I was on the edge of my seat seeing Lando battle Max in person. Unfortunately, we had to stop going because F1 tickets for American races are too damn expensive nowadays. But anyway I’m glad to see a track that’s given me so many memories in my less than 20 years be given a damn good rating
Suzuka down to like an 8. It doesn't really fit too well with these current cars (or the previous gen either) because they are too big. Silverstone and COTA, I'd give them both 9. Also, Zandvordt I'd probably drop it down to like 7.5 or 8. Last year was a wild one sure, but that was more weather related that led to it, more than the track itself (has the same problem as Suzuka). Other than that, mostly the same. Edit: also, I'd probably drop the Austrian one by 0.5 or 1 until they figure out this track limits issue, it ruined the race last season, and seems to be a running theme. The on track action gets spoiled.
1. Australia - Albert Park 2. Malaysia - Sepang 3. Japan - Suzuka 4. Emilia Romagna - Imola (Every 3 years) 5. Italy - Monza (Every 3 years) 6. Tuscany - Mugello (Every 3 years) 7. Monaco - Monaco 8. Austria - Red Bull Ring 9. Great Britain - Silverstone (Every 2 years) 10. Brands Hatch - Brands Hatch (Every 2 years) 11. Germany - Hockenheim (Every 2 years) 12. Eifel - Nurburgring (Every 2 years) 13. Hungary - Hungaroring 14. Belgium - Spa 15. Netherlands - Zandvoort 16. Azerbaijan - Baku 17. Singapore - Marina Bay 18. Canada - Montreal 19. USA - Cota (Every 2 years) 20. Las Vegas - Las Vegas (Every 2 years) 21. South Africa - Kyalami 22. Saudi Arabia - Jeddah 23. Bahrain - Bahrain 24. Brazil - Interlagos Each of the circuits that occur every other year or every third year is on a rotation - so there would be only 19 circuits. I might wanna stick Qatar there in the future, and maybe I should feature algarve, but all those circuits (apart from potentially Monaco) I’m pretty happy with
@@On_Track_91 it is my favourite track along with Monza. Flows so well and has exceptional racing almost yearly, should be given a lifetime contract if I speak
Hello, my maths group project on statistical forecasting is on F1 and I have been given the task to do research on tracks, and how your performance correlates with other tracks blah blah, thus I am watching your video for research :)
I actually think Miami is a super underrated track. It just seems like people (understandably) can't get over the nauseating, over-the-top, cringey antics to see the quality that is there. Like if Lewis Hamilton was an F1 track
to be fair Taron (hope I spelled that right) the racing is because of Verstappen not the track, although I will agree with you on the little chicane before the back straight, what were they thinking, it's Azerbaijans castle section but worse
@@On_Track_91 I dont understand why so much people hate it. Its fun, good track, obviously that chicken was kinda bad, but other than that its really good
I think Shanghai is the most underrated circuit of the calendar, probably because of Covid. We had some incredible races there (2004, 2007, 2010, 2016 - just to mention a few), but nobody remembers most of them. The layout is fun, the weather is unpredictable, and Turn 1 eats the tyres so fast it always causes strategic chaos. Easily an 8.5 in my opinion.
@@On_Track_91 granted I may have some slight bias as its my favourite to drive and 2023 was just eye watering as an alonso fan but no I still believe its the best there is. Unique, well made corners, fair overtaking opportunities and seems to have an air of unpredictability
As an azerbijani, i thing 90% you don't like baku because of a turn 8 from maiden tower, that road goofy asf, im not a big fan of f1 but i think some of pilots crashed there even max
I’m late to the party, and I know it’s cool to hate on Vegas, but it was the best race of the year for me last year. People are hating it because of all the crud around it (and that crud does suck) but the race itself was great. I agree with you on your rank. Spa deserves better, but that may be my nostalgia feels, and it isn’t like you ranked it poorly.
Bro why are you rating sum tracks just by how they are designed but sum just by it's boring to watch? Like Monaco , I know it's BORING to watch but GOD it's fun to drive around if you mastered the track , and definitely it is a good track , if you consider both it will get a solid 6 or 7
So far Zandvoort has surprised me positively I must say. I expected a mickey mouse track with little overtake possibilities but it flows great and thanks to outrageous weather conditions it holds the record now of most overtakes in a single race. And you've got to love that banked Hugenholtz corner/ turn 3 and the tricks that legends like Alonso pull off there. The atmosphere is also wild.
1000% agree with Monaco Love the tradition and its such a brilliant occasion. But its a bit like ....Xmas turkey. The hype and prep is an enjoyable event in itself but as far as what its like to actually eat .....
Zandvoort 8,5 ?! What a load of .... 3 at best. We all know why it even exist as a race. Even DTM, at it`s peak, ditched it . Rankinf Miami and Singapore equal? Absolute boll....
Zandvoort is one of the worst tracks I definitely agree. You just can't pass anywhere except T1 and maybe at the end of the final DRS zone before the tight chicane, but that's it
Having attended lots of GP and visited more than half of the tracks. Silverstone is over rated…. The top 3 tracks are Interlagos, Suzuka and Spa…. Followed by Montréal, Monza, Red Bull Ring, Imola and Zandvoort. I had a good laugh, when he was ditching 3 out of the 7 NHL clubs in Canada. Would do the same thing with soccer in England, no point in 22 guys chasing a ball for 90 (and more) minutes.😂
This may sound americentric of me but it kinda feels like yas marina should get replaced with some other track somewhere, and vegas should be the final grand prix with its glitz and glamour. Also, shockingly fun race there.
BEST: Monza (Temple of Speed for a reason) Silverstone (Best) Austria (Despite being short) Bahrain (Flat out straights) Belgium's Spa (Eau Rouge Madness) WORST: Azerbaijan (Blinding corners) Saudi Arabia (Horrendous corners) Shanghai (Tightening corners) Miami (Meh) Monaco (Winding, Winding and more Winding corners, meh)
Surprisingly I don't have much to complain about these rankings.... well, maybe except for Monaco, Baku, Las Vegas and Jeddah which all have received a (way) too high score in my humble opinion.
I would get rid of Miami, Imola, Barcelona, Zandvoort, COTA, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. And then I would add Sepang, Mugello, Buddh, Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Indianapolis, Istanbul and Kyalami, resulting in the same 24 races calendar, but MUCH better. Ofc, Kyalami, Istanbul and Mugello are circuits that only fit well the cars from 2021 and before, since they were more narrow than today. So they wouldn´t fit well nowadays. But apparently the 2026 cars will be way smaller, so maybe those 3 circuits could get a good chance with them.
The only good racing at Monaco is the historic race where you can watch great cars from earlier eras fight it out in machines that aren't too large for the track.
There are some that need to go. Spain would be one (little overtaking, other than the straight), Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Miami and Mexico City. In their places should be Nurburgring, Istanbul, Portimao, Malaysia and maybe Magny Cours. Monaco should stay, but be held in a different month, so that rain is more likely.
I believe Britain should be at least 9 i have loved every single race I've seen there and it has always had amazing battles and in 2023 had a non red bull driver lead for a while
My ranking is debatable, but it's my opinion 1. Bahrain. 8,5/10. Great track with all you need to have fun 2. Saudi Arabia. 4/10. It's like "Try not to die" circuit, and last two races were boring Asf 3. Australia. 7/10. I don't like the last sector but tbe changes that have been made improved the track at all. 4. Japan. 4,5/10. My opinion it's an overrated shit, even Fuji Speedway is better. The corners are awful, and it's a problem to overtake. 5. China. 6/10 The track is a little bit weird, but you can have some fun going through these corners. 6. Miami. 6,5/10 Same problem as China. The corners are sometimes bad (the chicane in 2nd sector says hello) but overall it's not bad. 7. Imola. 4/10. Overrated shit again, the only good corner is Aque Minerali, all the others are bad, and overtaking is even harder than at Suzuka 8. Monaco. 4/10. The corners are pretty enjoyable, but overtaking isn't bad, it just doesn't exist in Monaco. 9. Canada. 6,/10. There are some opportunities to overtake, but the chicanes aren't good at all. 10. Spain. 3,5/10. Hard to overtake, hard to overtake, hard to overtake 11.Austria. 9/10. Ten corners of fun and a lot of wheel to wheel action. The decision to bring it back in 2014 was pretty much the best 12. Silverstone. 9/10. The track is enjoyable, but a little bit of overtaking problems. 12. Hungary. 4/10. We call it Monaco without walls, track is awful but 3 bonus points for Ocon's win in 2021 13. Belgium. 8/10. I don't like Les Combes, Campus and Bus Stop chicanes, they ruin the whole track But Pouhon is great 14. Maxlands. 5/10. The track is weird, narrow and jt's hard to overtake there. It's an unusual track, but it's not great. 15. Monza. 7,5/10. A lot of action, but the corners are too easy. Lesmoe and Curva Grande are the corners that make the track good. 16. Azerbaijan. 1/10. AARGH TAKE THIS SHIT OUT OF THE CALENDAR. It's just a bunch of 90 degree corners, i don't understand, why people like this 17. Singapore. 4/10. It's also a bunch of boring corners, but weather and G-forces make it more interesting than Baku 18. Austin. Perfect 10/10. This tracks has everything to have a lot of fun. First sector is exciting, third sector is a pearl of F1. 19. Mexico. 3/10. That does not make a lot of sense for me. Apart from 1,4 km straight, there isn't a lot to watch. 20. Brazil. 9/10. It's a really great track that produces racing. I agree wjth the author, it's a nice place 21. Las Vegas 6/10. There is a lot of overtaking, but the corners are not great. 22. Qatar. 7/10. The layout is great, but there wasn't a great idea to put land mines in kerbs. 23. Abu Dhabi 5/10. Just doesn't mean anything to me.
I'm not convinced that Suzuka produces great racing. Try to name five memorable Suzuka racing moments that made you happy you got out of bed at 5am to watch the race.
Why ? Why you have to be so mad about canada. The maples leafs and the canadiens are one of the best implemented teams in the nhl. Like f1 race (ex: great britain) you dont have to just be mad about them.

Is it wrong that I really enjoy Miami? Maybe not the racing, but I love driving it on the F1 games. And a note about the specific corner he pointed out, yes in the real world racing it’s awful, but in the F1 games I like it a lot… that’s ok right?
My personal opinion on these tracks by experiencing them on F1 games ( Order is wrong sorry ) If I missed one please let me know Australia 7.6 Austria 9.9 Saudi Arabia 6.0 Imola 9.0 Monaco 4.6 Qatar 7.8 Japan 4.3 Canada 8.8 Spain 6.9 Belgium 7.5 Britan 6.8 Vegas 3.0 ( garbage ) Hungary 7.7 Abu dahbi 6.7 Monza 9.8 Zandvoort 7.1 Brazil 9.7 Baku 6.4 Singapore 6.9 USA 7.0 Mexico 6.3 Miami ( 6.3 )
How dare you disrespect Abu Dhabi so much??? It has good racing, good title fights, unexepceted Safetycars (goatifi), interesting strategic moves, good overtaking points and flows quite well too.
As someone who went to the Canadian Grand Prix for 2022 and 2023.. well it isn’t that good. I only saw 2 overtakes over those two years, first in turn 7, then turn 2. I was very disappointed and it’s more fun on TV..
Spa and Monaco must both absolutely remain. Monaco is one of the super three and spa is the second most awesome circuit for me. THE score for spa is too low and should be a 9.5. Saudi Arabia also deserves a higher grade, a 9 for me for sure. then I think Hungary, the Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, Las Vegas, Silverstone and Japan and Bahrain are all worth 8.5 to 9. Qatar, Spain, Miami and Mexico can be deleted, instead Portugal, Hockenheim and the Nürburgring or Malaysia should come back on the calendar. But only One circuit is my absolute favorite and I would give a 10. It's the circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. It's just perfection
Agree with your observations. Having spectated at most of the European circuits, Spa is for me "hands down" the most exciting track on the schedule. And Eau Rouge is not only the most intense corner on the circuit but likely the entire F-1 calendar. However, the Ardennes Forest weather there, is always a crapshoot. Grade: a solid 9.5... Monaco, while it is very tight with virtually no passing opportunities, does have character and is an (obvious) annual staple, for the rich & famous and will also will likely endure indefinitely , because of its reputation and racing history. Grade: 7.0
POV Spa: "Race day lacking sustained drama"
Also Spa: Kill count, 53 and counting
Most of them happened at the old Spa which hasn't been used in 70 years.

Or
For me it is a bit been there done that but I think I will go there again in a couple of years.
i don't like Imola because of the ayrton senna accident lol

@@On_Track_91 agree with almost all of it except Monaco. Having the best qualifying of the year should count for more. Netherlands is usually underrated and Silverstone is usually overrated.

Great take down. Thank you. Here's hoping this year's racing includes a few more winners. At least to provide a break between the playing of the Netherlands National Anthem.

(I didn't bother with Las Vegas and Qatar as they haven't been on the calendar long enough to get a true idea if they're good or not.

What's wrong with the timing for Las Vegas, it needs to be later on in the year and the evening so it's not super hot

Nahh, Monza is much higher, I'd give it a 9.0. 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 were all exciting, pretty much every year there's a good race

Hello, my maths group project on statistical forecasting is on F1 and I have been given the task to do research on tracks, and how your performance correlates with other tracks blah blah, thus I am watching your video for research :)
finally someone mentioning that jeddah isnt truly a street circuit
Neither is Miami really
monaco is the most flashy, wealthy race, are you a casual?
I actually think Miami is a super underrated track. It just seems like people (understandably) can't get over the nauseating, over-the-top, cringey antics to see the quality that is there. Like if Lewis Hamilton was an F1 track
Tbh i don't mind the antics just so far, year 1 the surface was awful and year 2 it was an ok race. Can see how there's potential there tho
to be fair Taron (hope I spelled that right) the racing is because of Verstappen not the track, although I will agree with you on the little chicane before the back straight, what were they thinking, it's Azerbaijans castle section but worse
With the Lewis comparison you even make it worse than it already is.
Haha.

Exactly
Bro why are you rating sum tracks just by how they are designed but sum just by it's boring to watch? Like Monaco , I know it's BORING to watch but GOD it's fun to drive around if you mastered the track , and definitely it is a good track , if you consider both it will get a solid 6 or 7
Cos it's not just if the racing is bad full stop, like there are levels and Monaco is way lower than anything
Yeah monaco is one of the best imo
It's a fun 'hot lap' circuit... Works great with 1 car! Add traffic and you see the problems with Monaco and the current HUGE cars...

@On_Track_91 best in the calendar imo
So far Zandvoort has surprised me positively I must say. I expected a mickey mouse track with little overtake possibilities but it flows great and thanks to outrageous weather conditions it holds the record now of most overtakes in a single race. And you've got to love that banked Hugenholtz corner/ turn 3 and the tricks that legends like Alonso pull off there. The atmosphere is also wild.
It's so cool a track in itself really
1000% agree with Monaco
Love the tradition and its such a brilliant occasion.
Nah just my opinion
Zandvoort is one of the worst tracks I definitely agree. You just can't pass anywhere except T1 and maybe at the end of the final DRS zone before the tight chicane, but that's it
Interlagos rules. Greetings from Brazil.
Hello hello, glad to have you around
Is Baku really considered Europe? I thought it would be in asia
@10:19 "Return from the Summer break"?
I mostly rate the circuits in terms of how beautiful and classic they are. F1 is so much about the aesthetics.
Las Vegas was all but Great. It was a shame Ferrari got penalized for a track/Fia issue
Yeah tho that's nothing to do with the track/racing
BEST:
Monza (Temple of Speed for a reason)

Shanghai (Tightening corners)
Miami (Meh)
Monaco (Winding, Winding and more Winding corners, meh)

Tbf I wouldn't be suprised if Vegas dropped off, also can Monaco get much lower? 😅
@@On_Track_91 in my opinion giving Monaco a 2 is already stretching it to the up.
That's a fair number of changes
Plss don’t bring Buddh back
Completely biased here but why not a 10 to Interlagos?
Nothing is perfect
The only good racing at Monaco is the historic race where you can watch great cars from earlier eras fight it out in machines that aren't too large for the track.
There are some that need to go. Spain would be one (little overtaking, other than the straight), Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Miami and Mexico City.
In their places should be Nurburgring, Istanbul, Portimao, Malaysia and maybe Magny Cours. Monaco should stay, but be held in a different month, so that rain is more likely.
Spain is one of the best of the season imo
Both Jackie and Brundle are big highlights of the Sunday show.
9:10 hey literally all our good ones die/get seriously injured (Hinchcliff, G. Villeneuve, Moore, Wickens)
I believe Britain should be at least 9 i have loved every single race I've seen there and it has always had amazing battles and in 2023 had a non red bull driver lead for a while
Yeah it is a top track for sure, think I gave it a 9 last time
Its literally the best track for battles, you can overtake everywhere, I dont understand how its only 8.5
There’s not a chance in hell you are ranking Vegas that high while sober
My ranking is debatable, but it's my opinion
1. Bahrain. 8,5/10. Great track with all you need to have fun
2. Saudi Arabia. 4/10. It's like "Try not to die" circuit, and last two races were boring Asf
3. Australia.
7. Imola. 4/10. Overrated shit again, the only good corner is Aque Minerali, all the others are bad, and overtaking is even harder than at Suzuka
8. Monaco. 4/10. The corners are pretty enjoyable, but overtaking isn't bad, it just doesn't exist in Monaco.
9. Canada. 6,/10. There are some opportunities to overtake, but the chicanes aren't good at all.
10. Spain. 3,5/10. Hard to overtake, hard to overtake, hard to overtake
11.Austria. 9/10. Ten corners of fun and a lot of wheel to wheel action. The decision to bring it back in 2014 was pretty much the best
12. Silverstone. 9/10. The track is enjoyable, but a little bit of overtaking problems.
12. Hungary. 4/10. We call it Monaco without walls, track is awful but 3 bonus points for Ocon's win in 2021
13. Belgium. 8/10. I don't like Les Combes, Campus and Bus Stop chicanes, they ruin the whole track
But Pouhon is great
14. Maxlands.
It's just a bunch of 90 degree corners, i don't understand, why people like this
17. Singapore. 4/10. It's also a bunch of boring corners, but weather and G-forces make it more interesting than Baku
I agree wjth the author, it's a nice place

Grade: 7.0
