Some of my recordings are not showing up. I contacted YouTbeTV support and they said my metadata by be corrupted. Any idea how to fix?
Hi thank you for this great vidéo. Every time now we cast on tv, there is a sign that pops up at the bottom, and has the words "Premium get ad-free youtube and more "get it now dismiss". We don't have a way to control with the tv remote, only through iPad or phone. If you have suggestion for getting erid of this message pls kindly kindly let us know.

@@MichaelSaves We've been using it since March, and so far the only problem is getting used to it. But when I have questions, just serf the net and find the answers and it's been working fine. We get all the programs we truly enjoy + lots others. Can't believe we spent so many years with Directv, when You Tube TV was available. But know if I have any problems, you're one of the "go to" sources. Thanks for being there for those of us who care about saving money.!!

Thank you we moved out to the middle of nowhere and the internet sucks out here unless we use our hotspot. watching the tv in standard definition which will lower the amount of data we use is an option I couldn't figure out and you helped me a lot. Thank you!
I just cut the cord on spectrum cable, and switched to RUclips tv 3 days ago. I can’t tell you how satisfied I am so far. The picture quality is great, and I love that I can change the video quality I want right on the screen. Side note: if you are experiencing bad picture quality; change the video setting from auto to 720p or 1080p. I am streaming on a Apple TV 4K, the 2021 edition, so it’s very easy for me to change the video quality, it’s at the bottom of the screen when you swipe down to view networks, HD, etc. There are no duplicate channels like spectrum had; and RUclips tv has all the channels I watch under one package. And I also like that I can customize my guide. On top of the free trial; I also got 3 months for $54.99; after that it will revert to the normal monthly price. All in all I am very happy with this streaming service. It is a lot cheaper than cable; but you need to have a good internet service, speed, and preferably, no data caps. Enjoy!

Great information in this video. I've not yet figured out how to shuttle past the end of a program. Sometimes I pause my program, then it ends and a new program begins on the same channel. I can't fast forward past the commercal break into the next program without playing it in real time. Has YTTV addressed this issue? Thanks for this video with a lot of helpful tips.
I am new to streaming TV. (One of my most enjoyable phone calls was to DirecTV cancelling my service.) I signed up for RUclipsTV and capability seems to be almost boundless. I am loving it more each day, but am struggling to find out how to access my library recordings once I am watching live RUclipsTV. My recorded program library does not appear and I cannot find the access path unless I hit reverse reverse reverse etc. I must be missing something...help!!!

For example, when searching a movie on RUclipsTV that is not available, but is available on RUclips (for free or to rent), is there a way for the search result to show those results and would be a simple click to RUclips. Thanks for the tips, Michael. I love the RUclips TV app but I have a problem with the library. It lists my recordings with the oldest ones first. I record a program that is recorded about six different episodes per day. This means that to watch the most recent airings I need to scan thru dozens and dozens of episodes to see the most recent. Is there a way to display most recently recorded episodes first?

Unfortunately, no I don't think you can stop that! You can only stop "Autoplay on start" from the settings at this time.

Is there a way to extend the time for me to click on items before they disappear? For example, I push the down button and go to scroll to the left to push the plus sign or the CC. However, if not quick enough the options disappear.

Great video, but I have one issue I wish I could solve. I don’t know any way to set up a recording of some future event. For example, I’d like to record a show that I know will air tomorrow, but I won’t be home tomorrow. Is there any way to access the show's listing now, and tell it to record? The guide won’t show info into the future.
Yes you can click search the show, click on the logo of the channel from the live guide or just scroll to the right in the live guide
My recorded shows won't fast forward anytime at all. Not commercials but no time at all.

Very good video! I'm setting up RUclips TV (Fire Stick 4K) for my 91yr old mom. The live guide is a problem for her. 1) the channel IDs are too small to recognize. 2) channel IDs do not include a number to help with recognition and memory. Is there any way to enlarge the channel IDs to at least the same size as the program information? Also, an alphabetical option would greatly help her in finding a particular channel. For now I'll have to manually reorder (customize) them for her as I just learned by watching this video.
The only option is to customize at this point. Some other services list channels in alphabetical order or have that option. Still, I think RUclips TV's guide is best. Maybe getting your mom to use the home screen would be best. The thumbnails are large and it will offer recommendations based on her viewing.

@@MichaelSaves I just started youtube tv a few weeks ago. I can sort using a-z, z-a, most watched, and customize. I only watch on my android phone or tablet which may make a difference in the options.
How do you disable the continue watching across devices? Like when I open youtube desktop it opens the last video I was watching on my phone in a popup window. How do I stop it from doing that? I can't find a setting for it.
I would like to see info that includes quality audio settings that monitors whether I'm receiving 5.1 Dolby digital.
Does anyone know why some shows that have been added to the library still only have a VOD option and not with the DVR option? I record to fast forward, but I can't figure out what's wrong with a couple of shows in my library.
This shouldn’t happen for new airings or even reruns if you set the recording. But I’ll use an example that may help. Let’s say you set a recording for Friends. From today on, all airings will be recorded and in the DVR. But some episodes that haven’t aired since you set the recording may be available on demand still.

Thank you for this informative video! We just cut the cord with At&t Uverse and will save good money. But I have one question, I tried RUclips TV about 2 years ago on a trial and if I recall, the main screen for live tv or "home" was a white background. Now it's dark-ish and I prefer a white background. I know I can go from light to dark theme on my phone but I don't see a way to brighten the screen when I'm scrolling through our channels on our Sony Bravia TV powered with Android. Can you offer some tips to maybe get back to a lighter screen? Thanks again.
Your video was great and easy to understand. I have a question not related to this video but it is about RUclips. We have RUclips and for the most part, love it. One issue we have, and this happens on all 3 televisions. When watching a movie or program, at some point it stops showing the movie we're watching and goes straight to screensaver/home page. I have attempted to get the information myself but apparently there's no answer to this issue or I'm not asking correctly. Is there any setting that will stop having the tv go to home page? I just cut the cord and am converting to RUclips TV. I have a smart TV, an AppleTV 4k, and a Fire TV 4K currently connected. Can I connect a 4th? We would only have 2 streaming at any one time.

I am wondering if it's possible to lengthen the pause time of a show. I will hit pause in the middle of the show get up and do something come back and find not only has it gone back to Roku home, but when I finally go through the process of getting back to the show I have to fast forward to where I think it left off. It always starts at the beginning of the show. Is there a way to change that?
Yep make sure you have enough time to watch it all. lol, on a serious note you could try going to the continue watching section, depending on what I’ve been watching I can sometimes find it there and it starts where o left it.

When recording, I cannot find an option for selecting DVR versus VOD. When I press the + sign, it simply tells me the show is added to my library and will be recorded. I'd like to choose DVR - how can I do this?

For some reason, we cannot start watching a recorded (live) show from the beginning until it's finished recording anymore. Also, it says it's not available in our area. But after the live show, we can start from the beginning. This has happened a few times since we got youtubetv, it usually corrects itself after awhile (weeks sometimes). Example: Jeopardy - can't watch it until after it's live time. Previously this only happened on ABC but now it's all the channels, apparently. Very frustrating! Also, we want to watch Philly news station, which we used to get, but now it's Baltimore and I have Philly area in my settings.
I was just gonna ask if your home area is set to the correct location, but you answered it. Sounds like a problem for RUclips TV support. You can chat with them
Thank you for the tips. I'm a bit frustrated because while viewing a live event (football game etc) and recording it at the same time, I'm unable to jump back 15, 30 sec to review and then go back to live. It will only jump back to the start of the recording and then back to live. Once the event has been recorded and I watch it at a later time, I'm able to skip around the recording. Is this correct?
If it's in your library, you can rewind and fast forward even if it's in progress. Try going to your Library tab, click on the game you're recording (find under scheduled), and then click Join Live. From there you can rewind and then fast-forward. I'm wondering if you added it to your Library after the game started?

Hello Michael, great and informative video. There is one additional setting I would like to know. Following your recommendation I use theROKU Ultra Streaming devices. My question is there any way to make RUclips TV come up first instead of ROKU. Currently I have to exit out of ROKU and then bring up you tube TV.

I finally started the 2 week trial. One question. The TV defaults tp the cable box when turned on . I'd like to unplug it during the trial so when the TV is turned on, it opens with apps options. Thanks for all the advice! It's a new 85 inch Sony Bravia with their Atmos sound system.

Can someone tell me how do you loop (repeat) your playlist from just on the Smart TV?
I normally play my playlist videos on the RUclips App on my Smart TV but I am unable to locate the repeat( loop) action as it is on phone or pc version.

How can I extend the recording time on shows that I put in my library? Many sports shows run longer than the prescheduled time and shut off before the game is actually completed
RUclips TV is supposed to do this automatically for sports.
Largely they do so in my experience. However an OT NFL game on Sunday and tonight’s Yankees/Red Sox games ended recording before the conclusion. Disappointing and not sure what to do about it!

I believe that only the account manager can make purchases. With family sharing, you can set up a secondary account for kids
I wish there was a way to force 5.1 audio instead of waiting for it to auto-detect, which sometimes takes a full minute after startup on my ShieldTV.
Downfall is you can't record just one episode. I don't want to record the all seasons or episodes.

It is tricky to add a show or movie to library that is in play. I figured it out.

Many thanks, very informative, so will probably go over some of this again. I have one problem I cannot understand with the RUclipsTV Library. I have 2 LG TV's one will replay the items I save with no problem, some of the recording I show on the larger LG TV work fine, but others, some very recent, have a jerky, sometimes stop animation with sound that does the same..
I have removed the You Tube App and re-installed. But still the same - any thoughts..
Do you have strong internet in the room with the problem TV? I’m not sure. Some people need WiFi extenders. Test your connection in that room from a phone or computer at SpeedTest.net. If you have a Roku or Fire Stick you could hook it up and see if it’s any better. Let me know if you figure it out. I’m curious.
@@MichaelSaves Thanks Michael, in that room internet is 169 Down and 185 Up and TV programs work fine it's just Items from the RUclips TV library, some are fine and others not. It is also not old or new it's a mix.. I will continue to research .I don't have Roku or Firestick but use Chromecast when casting specific Rugby games from internet, they are also no problem. Will get back to you when I have a solution.

Can you tell me how to change how long until it asks “are you still watching?“ it’s kinda annoying for people who sleep with the tv on or with parents who have the tv on practically all day. Any way to adjust it or turn it off? Thanks!
One thing I noticed is that when you’re watching a kids show and you want to browse the guide it will automatically pause the show and I’m wondering if there is a feature to turn that off or if they can add that.

I find the RUclips TV DVR is very inconsistent when it comes to certain programs like Good Morning America. Some days, I have to wait till 9:00am, when the program is done recording.....other days I can JOIN LIVE or START FROM THE BEGINNING. My home location is stable and I even went through a 24 hour cancellation / then resigning hoping to solve the issue, which it did not. Almost every morning is different, which make no sense but we are considering going back to cable, which I would rather not do. Any thoughts? Thank you!
I'm still learning how to use the fire stick. It's built into our Amazon Fire TV, but I'll get there. How do i find the library tab at the top of the screen? It isn't always there when I turn on my tv. I scroll over to youtube and then drop down to youtube tv. I can't find the screen where it shows 'library home live' to choose from. It seems to appear occasionally.

I finally figured out how to get the subtitles I need (the cc below play) and choose the DVR setting for the best way to FF. This makes a big difference for me in whether I can still watch my non-streaming network channels. I may be an anomaly in continuing to watch some network shows, such as This Is Us and Chicago Med.

How did you figure out how to skip commercials? I’m still confused because I don’t see the choice of choosing during or vod.

I really like your tips! >>> I have Googled, watched your video and I don't get the 3 button menu on my phone or the computer to allow me to mark a show as watched. Just joined RUclips TV a month ago, did they take that feature away?? I have held down the show for several seconds as some people had mentioned to get a popup menu, that doesn't work. The 3 dot menu is not on any episode I choose. Kind of frustrating since I seem to start watching a show I have already seen. Any insight? thanks!

I wish that RUclips TV offered 4k. I would want 1440p for those who are broadcasting in 720p currently, and 2160p for those who are broadcasting in 1080p currently. No need to add channels at this point, just use the resources to provide better picture quality. 👍
@@FootballWorld-st5fp In a press release they said that they will be offering an add-on which will allow 4k viewing sometime soon.
Keep an eye out for it.
The only thing is, that there is very little 4k content available right now.

I wish you could customize the music that plays during the "commercial break, we'll be right back". The current "music" that they play gets annoying after you've heard it 1,000 times!
I wish RUclips TV had an option that you can start recording a TV show a minute or two early. This happens to me every time I watch the news on dvr.
I haven't had any show start late, they usually start just before the show starts. If it's a problem on your end you could try recording the show before the one you want and catch what you missed that way.

Great content, Michael. I'm so new to all. Just sent from AT&T to Spectrum. And IJust got Roku but realize I can't watch ABC or CBS or NBC which are important to me. So, from what you say RUclips TV might be the right way. But now I"m still paying $124 to Spectrum, and I have to pay for Cable as well when I don't have it? I have the box though, they left me the box! yikes. I feel like I've been taken advantage of.

A question please. I do not have RUclips TV. I only pull RUclips up to look at information. I use RUclips very much and above my "Settings Gear," there is a white "10" in a red circle on the top right corner of the settings gear. I cannot get to anything to see or explain this. Will you please tell me what the "10" red bubble means that hangs over the settings gear? THANK YOU!!!

Is there a way to watch things you put in your library from another TV (say, from another familly member's TV)?

Press the back button while it's paused.
I'm using a Roku Express 4K+. On some shows, when I fast forward the audio fast forwards, but the picture freezes. I hope you have a solution. Thank you
Is there an add on to make 2 different networks act like home network?
To Michael: I had a chat session with YTTV regarding recording shows. I am not able to watch a specific show b/c it shows a lock symbol on the screen and will not allow me to watch that specific show w/o paying an extra $15 a month to add Max to my base plan. Which I am not gonna do for one show. What I find is odd, is that on that same network it is not an issue just that show.. If there was a way I could send an attachment so you could read the paragraphs in which they’re trying to explain to me why I can’t watch it on DVR versus VOD, which is confusing to me. I’m not sure I understand it completely I would send it. But I don’t see that I can send you an attachment. Idk if that helps you understand what the situation is or not.

On a phone when I paid I can tap anywhere to "undarken" the screen. Is there a way to do that on the tv?

I have heard more reports of this lately. But with limited info, I think I would contact support first and detail what’s going on. ruclips.net/video/1U-c_ujSJ2c/видео.html You can also click your profile icon from a TV and then Send Feedback. This will document your issue. The chat rep may ask you to do this anyway so they can review the logs.

I just signed up for RUclips tv and the picture on some of the programs like Chigaco PD are too big for my Samsung tv screen. I can't adjust this setting in RUclips TV and if I change it in the Samsung settings it goes back in RUclips tv. Do you have a solution for this?

I have an AMC program in my library. I watched all episodes but the last of season. I went to watch it and now the series is locked from my view unless I upgrade to AMC +. What's up with that?
Is there any way you can make RUclips tv your default tv setting as when you turn your TV on and it will automatically turn on RUclips tv without strolling to the app?

Purchase a Google chromecast as your streaming device, it will have a live option on the home screen that is RUclips TV. Chromecast 3rd generation is way better and more stable than Roku anyway, it also comes with a remote.
Sometimes I start watching a program in one room then move to another. When I would seek to continue the show in another room I used to be able to pick it where I left off. Now I have to start them over. Same thing if I leave a show for a time - when I get back to if I have to start over. Can I change that?!

Why don’t I see the display clock in the upper left corner under the YTTV symbol? I’m on my TV using an Apple TV. I read it was added recently. Is there a way to turn it on in settings?
No DVR and no clock nearby to see.
Any suggestions on how to set the HD quality. I have been having problems with staying on 1080 it keeps switching back to 720 and I have high definition TV and I also purchase different hdmi cables. I'm thinking about canceling if I can fix this issue.
I have mine set on auto. I have read that some people go into the settings (click down while watching live TV for the menu) and manually select 1080p60 and it does the trick across all networks that output in 1080p. But I have noticed some networks 720p is the highest option. I do not think that's a RUclips TV thing specifically.
Is it possible to watch the double screen mode (for football) and have the opposite screen use closed captions?
You can turn on CC or not. I’m not sure you can do further customization of CC

6:00 p.m. MST - when a family member logs in to RUclips TV, their login sound comes across my TV as well. How do I prevent this from happening?
How can I change the device download location. I have the 4K subscription which allows me to download movies to view offline. They currently going to my device internal storage, want to change that to my SD card.

Hi thanks for your Channel, I watch my channel on my Smart TV but I cannot click on my DOT and see my Channel's homepage I have tried every link on my Smart TV well on my premium channel and I cannot get to that homepage! Also the Emojis on my playlist titles don't show on the TV there's just empty boxes with x's

Is there a way to watch a TV show in a different time zone? I live in Pacific time zone where Survivor 45 airs at 8 PM. I'd like to view the show at 7 PM or pull it from the Mountain time release.
Not that I am aware of since YTTV’s local channels are based on your location. Maybe with a VPN but I don’t use one
