Sniper is my class, however I use him more as an assassin than sniper. There's knife perks that allow you to do crazy Cloak damage, think it's called shadow blade, or, I sneak up and throw a krak on a majoris enemy or place a melta especially on extremis theats. Carbine for nids, stalker for chaos already have saved so many quick play runs with him.
For the Bulwark, I read a Reddit comment that said to double tap the block button when trying to parry and that helps so much. Now I hit almost every parry. Switching to a fencing style weapon also really helps.
Tip for anyone who wants to main Bulwark be ready to clutch and win the mission for your team 90% of the time and be ready for SEVERE back pain from carrying so much
Honestly! The revive banner perk is clutch af as long as your battle-brothers stay close by each other, but yeah Bladeguard ftw. Part of me dies inside though not having iron halo as a perk for the true Bladeguard experience
You can also gunstrike with 0 ammo for the moment. Might be a bug so it might not last. Lets you prioritize who gets ammo when it's scarce. Had a couple ops go way smoother because I let the heavy eat all the ammo, even if I had to go without for a bit.
Gonna focus on heavy gunner and bulwark at first. They speak to me the most. Made it through the tutorial and my first words we're "this is amazing, omg I suck" died at least 5 times. Getting used to the controls after 80 hours of black myth wukong taught me, spamming is a death sentence
Feel the same way. Bulwark for certain but I felt uncertain about heavy until he explained it almost as a medic. I love defensive plsystylrs focused on keeping mates alive but I can use a heavy Bolter!!?? Now I'm pumped for heavy too
@@warriorfire8103 I'm used to playing solo so when I do have games with co-op I gravitate to the "helper" roles. Just sometimes help means carry a BIG GUN! Haha
You really are the GOAT of video game instructional videos. I'm gonna be maining Heavy. In any game that I play I like to be the medium-range add-clear character and I enjoy heavy firepower. Seeing clips of the multi-melta just evaporating a crowd with a single shot sold it for me; especially with that Multi-Kill perk that refills ammo when killing 5 or more targets with one shot.
If you want to be codex compliant you need to start as a scout in the 10th company, then you can graduate to a devastator marine in a reserve company. After mastering heavy weapons you can join an assault squad. With proficiency in heavy weapons and melee then you can become a member of a tactical squad and by then you will likely find yourself in a battle company by then. Only those most devoted to the emperor, beloved by all, will then become the most eminent veteran- with first company tactical dreadnought armor being reserved for his true angels of death.

We get it Leandros, you’re Codex compliant 😂 Jokes aside, I main’d Tactical first to lvl 10 and then started Bulwark and I really love it as Bladeguard are just so cool. The Assault class needs some buffs and honestly should just be like how it is in campaign instead of what they did to it currently. For all my Marines though I kitted them out as Veterans from Companies 1-4, helps that the Smurfs are 2nd to the Grey Knights for me so I don’t really spend too much on requisition for cosmetics and have plenty for upgrades

Great class overview; well done! Thank you for giving an overview from someone who has played more than I am seeing; a lot of reviewers have not played as much as you!
In ops there can only be one class per person, so pick three classes to main so that the third option is always available if the other two players chose your other two. In order of priority I'm going: 1. Vanguard - White Scars (Instigator Bolt Carbine - Bolt Pistol - Combat Knife) 2. Heavy - Salamanders (Multi Melta - Plasma Pistol) 3. Tactical - Ultramarines (Plasma Incinerator - Bolt Pistol - Chainsword)
This is the same mentality people should have when it comes to weapons too. Some weapons are objectively weaker than others, but if you level up weapon mastery, each weapon becomes good.
Nope. Some weapons are just sub-par. Same goes for the classes. Anyone acting like everything is good in this game is either clueless or straight up gaslighting people.
@aaronhumphrey3514 anyone who can't make up their own minds and only play what is considered as " best in slot" doesn't have an opinion as they are to concerned with youtubers... everything will be viable but not everything will be the best all the time.. @@Koranthus Vanguard is only good because of Melta. Perks you get are good for survivability but both of the carbines just feel bad, even after getting both of them to relic and max perks. Melee feels meh too, but Vanguard is fun af imo
5:35: Another weapon where this is very substantial is the heavy bolt rifle with its base 45 round magazine. I'm absolutely in love with that thing. It can hose down hordes and pump appreciable damage into bigger enemies alike, and tap-firing it to reduce recoil spread makes it accurate enough engage at sniper ranges and rack up consistent headshots.

I've been seeing a lot of success with Sniper. Las fusil as "secondary" for majoris enemies or clumped enemies, with some upgrades it'll down anything except maybe a lictor instantly, and then using the pistol to pick off anything else. I barely use the cameleoline unless I need to get distance or pick someone up but it's excellent.
Bulwark Banner needs to match its Chapter. That is all. Even if its just for the first founding chapters/legions and Black Templars, Blood Ravens, and Flesh Tearers.
I really do appreciate how you organize your videos and give us the tldr at the beginning usually. No bullshit to get me to stay watching and mostly just helpful info
Beyond hyped. Got to play an hour of a mission story yesterday and im hyped to try some coop. Tbh all of these classes look great (except sniper since im not a fan of stealth but still looks cool) which feels like a breath of fresh air. The amount of customization you get makes me feel like this will be replacing Helldivers 2 for me for quite a while.
Hahaha I try to help equate things to games a lot of us play. So I use a lot of world of warcraft, destiny, and other games that people are possibly coming from!
Since everyone is going melee crazy in my operations, I’ve learned to love the slow stroll of death heavy and sniper provide. Just walk to the edge of engagement and lead a trail of execute ready majors for my advanced forces.
I started with Heavy, and i liked it with the multi melta and being able to melt swarms and being able to tank ranged damage with the passive perks and range shield. But i switched to tactical and now its my favorite main! Tactical with Bolt Rifle + grenade launcher is awesome!
Damn I found this video late lmao. Fantastic breakdown for the classes; but one thing I need to say with Sniper. I started with that class and I noticed something hilarious with it. It's a pure Rogue. Camo cloak to move into good positions and get nades off with bonus damage, dodge an attack to cloak again then vanish. Sometimes the dodge cloak keeps active when using the secondary, so you can do damage to enemies while invisible with the pistol before switching for that bonus headshot with a sniper. My friends pulled me to higher missions, and even then with no perks or upgrades, the class felt unbelievably solid so long as you're one who can handle the risky plays and fights. Sure I loose a lot of health, I'm not the best front line unit, but I've been able to hold my own with nothing but the urge to purge heretics before vanishing to continue my job as a Raven Guard (Hydra Dominatus).
Best video breakdown of the classes I've seen so far, thanks. Can't wait to see how the classes synergize with one another. First impression, looks like Bulwark's ultimate doesn't ideally synergize with Heavy since most of the time it will be used in the thick of melee combat.
Soon as i got through the campaign i started maining bulwark. Its so much fun. The plasma pistol has such great utility, slam a few charged up shots into a group to soften them up before moving in with power sword. Good survivability. One round I was the last one alive. Mere minutes from mission completion. Low health and surrounded. I just backed into a corner, threw my shield up, and held there until my brothsrs respawned.
Once you reach level 25 for Assault it becomes soo dang good. Perfect dodges with jump pack refill the guage. You basically have infinite jetpack charges, just gotta maintain them, don't blow them all in ground pounds. when you get jet pack dodges down you'll always have charges to drop a ground pounds every other dodge. Ground pounds also heal you. don't get discouraged to low HP, there are heavy bolt pistol talents that give you 75% extra damage to your headshots, which means gun strikes decimate your foes. Lol
Longtime appreciator of your content. I pounced on this once the Humble Choice had a coupon to push me over the edge, but because of Real Life (tm) I hadn't started yet (with normal ver). So your video was extremely helpful and yes, I've already seen the 'Assault sucks!' floating around. Which makes me want to use it out of spite.

@@italianspartacus Hell yeah, great video. Im more likely to stay and watch with this format, rather than others where it feels like I'm being tricked into watching the whole video.
Assault is very fun! PVE it takes a lot of skill to be effective. You are rarely going to win a shootout. You have to be able to bail out of direct distant engagements. You also have to be gratuitous with the jump pack dash evade. But nothing is better than jetting 60 feet in the air and then dome striking a cluster of 3 players and getting that triple K. Games amazing highly recommend!
Bulwark is real good, but i'm also liking the sniper alot. Its not that hard to get more ammo for your main and keeping it topped off is not too hard on average difficulty. The cloak is really powerful when used well, like a free heal on your teammate or just walking passed a horde too snipe them in the back from long range, setting up heavies for your teammates to execute.
Great breakdown. Have thoroughly enjoyed ur last couple of vids with SM2. Ur vids with BG3 are amazing, it would take a lot of crunching but would you look into group combos or classes (eg. tactical with heavy and assault/bulwark) for operations and synergy of classes and what combos well. Fun options like full vanguard op team or bulwark op team.
The bolt sniper rifle does do some pretty nice headshot damage. It can pop warrior heads pretty nicely even baseline. The problem is the ammo is so low.
Grenade Launcher Auspex DMG buffing Tactical is hella strong! Because of that gain Ammo on Majoris Kill perk, you can fire a grenade & as it’s in flight switch to your 2nd-ary & get all grenades back on the kill. Crazy strong perk that allows you to become a Major killing machine. Terminus Enemies (Bosses) also don’t stand a chance against the Auspex +175% DMG & Melta Bomb & Grenade Launcher Burst. It just shuts down situations that would otherwise take a while, avoiding attrition.
Another thing to keep in mind is peak to the left not the right. The gun shoots from the left side so if you peak left the gun will shoot fine. If you are close to a wall and peek right your shot will hit the wall in front of you.
Tbh I feel like people will find sniper boring but It works for me where I stay a little bit distant and I always use the sniper for mainly elites and anything that takes awhile to kill I'm still new to the Warhammer franchise but so far I'm loving this fucking game, going to max out sniper then onto the next 🎉
If you play Tactical, go for the bolter with the grenade launcher. It does the same purpose as the melta, but you have a whole gun extra to shoot at range as well. grenade launcher + auspex just wrecks terminators, and any other elite.
Heavy carrying a multi-melta with upgraded ammunition capacity is effectively a melee character that pew's fire and is great for both mob management and single targets
Love the vid. I decided to play assault. I love the playstyle but I hope for a massive buff. The survivability is way to bad for a melee focused class. I also like to play PVP but for that I switch to something else cause Assault in PVP is just trolling at this point.
Before I got to play this game and try all the classes I did not think out of all of them that assault was going to be the worst, most undertuned class. Definitely a surprise xD
Bulwark is 100% my type of class, but I asked my 2 battle buddies what they wanted to play before saying what /I/ wanted to play & someone kinda called Bulwark. Stealthed revives sold the show for me. I'm gonna make Sniper work, even if it kills me (it will)
Great video thank you Still contemplating. Probably 1st vanguard 2nd tactical 3th bulwark 4th assault I don’t care much about heavy and sniper as of now. But being invisible all the time sounds fun though remembers me of that hunter helmet in destiny 2
300 hours already?! What guy do you know that has 300 HOURS logged on this game already?! That’s 12 and a half days! He played 12 1/2 days already?! HOW?! I WANT TO KNOW HOW! And it better be a time fucking machine. Great video, thank you for the breakdown… how. Plz tell me how.
White Scar assault is my main and got it up to level 6 so far and I use it more like a support class than a champion brawler. When I try to play a one man army I easily get clobbered especially with a thunder hammer. So I tend to stick closer to teammates and ground bash them when they’re surrounded or boost around to take out high value targets calling in enemy waves or that are annoying. Other than that I go on my own only when it’s picking off a group of manageable enemies. If using a weapon with balance or fencing and you get good with parrying and dodging maybe hero hammer could be in the ball park. It’s a fun game.
Hey Great Video! By chance did you ever grind War for Cybertron back in the day? The gamertag at the time was Spartacus and he was cracked. My gamertag was ShadowHound and Spartacus was my arch nemesis?
I main tactical and Bulwark. I fucking love the Heavy Auto Bolter and being able to detect cloaked freaks for the team. Bulwark because I thought it would have an axe however I love distracting ranged foes and other problematic enemies for Snipers. Also the power sword so damn fun
I just started but it be cool later on if they have more of a level cap and each let’s say 10-20 levels you can have more perks to pick instead of just 3 feel like it would match the lore of being a veteran space marine more time playing the more skills you have
Gonna work on sniper I’ve been loving the las fusil, my friends love it cause of the damage and how fast it takes out enemies for them but I’m level 15 with it and I’ve been doing solo substantial difficulty missions.
Dunno if it works with other classes but lunging strike with bulwark automatically puts non-shield small enemies automatically into the red crosshair shot state to easy gain an armor slot back, how did i not realise this before 😂
Something i have noticed is that i thought I wouod be a tactical main, but it hasnt been available. Other people have already selected it so I am starting to embrace the idea of just playing them all
I would really like some more weapon types introduced in future. I'd really hoped I'd be able to play as an Aggressor with their flame thrower attached power fists
Actually at the end of the game with relic weapons and full build you can have around 20-25 rounds for your laz rifle as sniper. Also with infinite piercing and ammo restoration talents you will restore your health to full with one shot to the horde of smaller enemies add a fencing knife and an ability to reset your cloak cd to this and you will have an immortal class who can clutch against any amount of elites on max difficulty.
Question! I like being a team player, like going fast-ish, but not so much into melee. Could a Bolt Carbine Sniper with a focus on revival perks work or would you recommend a Heavy or Tactical?
Personally for me Im gonna max out all classes but im only gonna get my guns to green rarity and just have fun on average difficulty thats what games are made for is to have fun after all im having a blast. The great thing is that the customization items for every classes space marine is unlocked just by playing the game and completing ops which is amazing for me hating being forced on a harder difficulty for visual items
I 100% looked at all the weapons characters have before making a decision. Bulwark is the only class that can use a las pistol and a force sword at the same time. And the assault is the only class that can use the hammer
Assault take so much range damage when you go in your reduced to constantly parry to get armor back. At least one more armor slot would make it much more viable imo. Teams love you though because they're sitting back when you're in the thick taking damage, ranged melee and friendly fire 😂
Love your vids, very informative, and all I have as I am not going to be able to play this weekend, so early access would do nothing for me... - does the assault class jump pack dodge work with the standard dodge button (X on PS) and is basically just a slightly visually different standard dodge or does it use the class ability button and use dodge charges? - okay, seems the jump pack dodge operates on the jump pack dash, still curious about below - can you also perfect dodge parryable attacks (I know it doesn't work the other way around) to trigger effects? btw, I thought you can charge power fist attacks as well... wouldn't that make perseverance work with it as well?
For me the Heavy, Tactical, and Assault classes are my favorite classes. Sniper is boring to me, Vanguard is ok but I hate using phobos armor because you are less sturdy, and Bulwark isn’t working for me because it won’t let me parry for some reason even though I want to play that class.
I got told I was insane yesterday when I told my teammates to select a loadout to heal to full while I was playing bulwark and I knew I wasn’t nuts, unfortunate it’s only a bug tho.

You also have to be gratuitous with the jump pack dash evade. But nothing is better than jetting 60 feet in the air and then dome striking a cluster of 3 players and getting that triple K.
Games amazing highly recommend!
Great overview video, I think I'll give Bulwark and Vanguard a try first.
Great video. So far the best how to guide and class breakdown!
Really fantastic guide! Informative and well delivered.
The classes im probably gonna main: Bulwark, Heavy, Assault, Tactical
I'm going with Space Wolf tactical, Dark Angel bulwark, White Scar assault.
lol 4/6 huh, might as well just "main" them all
@@Talonzor don't be a D-bag, you know what he meant.

@@Talonzorexactly, not really a “main” at this point haha.
Tbh I feel like people will find sniper boring but It works for me where I stay a little bit distant and I always use the sniper for mainly elites and anything that takes awhile to kill
I'm still new to the Warhammer franchise but so far I'm loving this fucking game, going to max out sniper then onto the next 🎉
Trust me the Sniper gets WILDDDD
Thank you for your hard work on these videos.
If you play Tactical, go for the bolter with the grenade launcher. It does the same purpose as the melta, but you have a whole gun extra to shoot at range as well. grenade launcher + auspex just wrecks terminators, and any other elite.
Heads up. The Iron Halo does block the Fire from the Helldrake,
Right now I'm Manning the heavy class and I'm loving it
Heavy carrying a multi-melta with upgraded ammunition capacity is effectively a melee character that pew's fire and is great for both mob management and single targets
Man assault, heavy and bulwark look like a lot of fun ❤
I expected more views, this is good work bro, appreciate it
That krak grenade bounce at the end though
@italianSpartacus You rocking Emperors Spears Chapter colors!? Are we chapter brothers!? Redden the Earth Brother!
YESSIRRRR AMADEUS!
Bulwark is 100% my type of class, but I asked my 2 battle buddies what they wanted to play before saying what /I/ wanted to play & someone kinda called Bulwark.
Stealthed revives sold the show for me. I'm gonna make Sniper work, even if it kills me (it will)
Great video thank you
Still contemplating.
Probably
1st vanguard
2nd tactical
3th bulwark
4th assault
I don’t care much about heavy and sniper as of now.
But being invisible all the time sounds fun though remembers me of that hunter helmet in destiny 2
Im playing sniper and I got to say so far I can 1 shot most elite enemy's with a headshot. Plus cloak is helpful for reviving teammates
@@matthewgordon9341i might play whit it, is it really fun even early ? And did you start whit the bug sniper damage ?
300 hours already?! What guy do you know that has 300 HOURS logged on this game already?! That’s 12 and a half days! He played 12 1/2 days already?! HOW?! I WANT TO KNOW HOW! And it better be a time fucking machine.
Great video, thank you for the breakdown… how. Plz tell me how.
Hahaha he's had the game for a month and a half, he was part of the original preview crew
Thats still a lot of hours for a month and a half unless he only played this game during that time
Bulwark has that paladin look. Definitely my class
YES!!
I main tactical and Bulwark.
I fucking love the Heavy Auto Bolter and being able to detect cloaked freaks for the team. Bulwark because I thought it would have an axe however I love distracting ranged foes and other problematic enemies for Snipers. Also the power sword so damn fun
I just started but it be cool later on if they have more of a level cap and each let’s say 10-20 levels you can have more perks to pick instead of just 3 feel like it would match the lore of being a veteran space marine more time playing the more skills you have
Love your videos and commentary dude. Keep it up
Appreciate your work on these videos.
Thank you
You can be a black templar?! Immediately chosing that first.
That's my favorite 40k faction. It makes me want this game a lot more.
Gonna work on sniper I’ve been loving the las fusil, my friends love it cause of the damage and how fast it takes out enemies for them but I’m level 15 with it and I’ve been doing solo substantial difficulty missions.
Dunno if it works with other classes but lunging strike with bulwark automatically puts non-shield small enemies automatically into the red crosshair shot state to easy gain an armor slot back, how did i not realise this before 😂
Bulwark is definitely my go to. I don’t get the most kills by any means but it just feels right
Something i have noticed is that i thought I wouod be a tactical main, but it hasnt been available. Other people have already selected it so I am starting to embrace the idea of just playing them all
Just want to say, we appreciate you!
Black templars!
I would really like some more weapon types introduced in future. I'd really hoped I'd be able to play as an Aggressor with their flame thrower attached power fists
it can be long range it can be shortrange, it can be everything that you want, it can be deadly it can be snipey, jsut whatever you like.
Hope they add the lascannon for the heavy at some point and autocannon lol, but mainly the lascannon :P
Question! I like being a team player, like going fast-ish, but not so much into melee. Could a Bolt Carbine Sniper with a focus on revival perks work or would you recommend a Heavy or Tactical?
The first 2 minutes of this video made me subscribe
Personally for me Im gonna max out all classes but im only gonna get my guns to green rarity and just have fun on average difficulty thats what games are made for is to have fun after all im having a blast. The great thing is that the customization items for every classes space marine is unlocked just by playing the game and completing ops which is amazing for me hating being forced on a harder difficulty for visual items
Going to focus on assault or bulark, both seem completely capable of inducing fear and superiority unto the enemy. Just got the ultimate edition!
Typically I would heavy gunner or tactician, maybe even vanguard but I was drawn to sniper
I 100% looked at all the weapons characters have before making a decision. Bulwark is the only class that can use a las pistol and a force sword at the same time. And the assault is the only class that can use the hammer
Not gonna lie z the synergy between heavy and tactical is quite insane. Auspex boss faced with heavy bolter loses most of its health in seconds
Assault take so much range damage when you go in your reduced to constantly parry to get armor back. At least one more armor slot would make it much more viable imo. Teams love you though because they're sitting back when you're in the thick taking damage, ranged melee and friendly fire 😂
Great video!
- okay, seems the jump pack dodge operates on the jump pack dash, still curious about below
- can you also perfect dodge parryable attacks (I know it doesn't work the other way around) to trigger effects?
btw, I thought you can charge power fist attacks as well... wouldn't that make perseverance work with it as well?
I like this guy. Great content
Thinking about the bulwark or assault classes. Space sharks!
My first time playing was the assault. And I actually killed it.
always good stuff
For me the Heavy, Tactical, and Assault classes are my favorite classes. Sniper is boring to me, Vanguard is ok but I hate using phobos armor because you are less sturdy, and Bulwark isn’t working for me because it won’t let me parry for some reason even though I want to play that class.
My First class was the bulwark, but my tactical was my First lvl 25 class
oh man i`m so stuck on either playing vanguard or assault. such a hand choice.
Correction to 'there is no best class' There are best classes. All of them are the best class at what they do.
Nope people are always gonna spam the class that can speed run the map
That's sniper then because it can stealth it. I have a speed run video I'm thinking about too
@rowrowflo there is no 'speed running' the emperors will.
i recomend leveling 3 classes, for me i'm leveling heavy, bulwark and tac which going well.
I got told I was insane yesterday when I told my teammates to select a loadout to heal to full while I was playing bulwark and I knew I wasn’t nuts, unfortunate it’s only a bug tho.
