- The Mustang GTD is making it's first PUBLIC appearance in action. On the outside you will discover a new color, carbon fiber aero and magnesium wheels. Under the hood is a 5.2L supercharged V8 pumping out over 800HP.

Joe, your perspective is right on with what the Mustang GTD is and why it is so special. Like you I think this car looks glorious in this blue. I can't wait to see more on it. In these crazy times of the automotive industry, we are getting some of the most amazing performance cars we have ever seen because some passionate car manufacturers are saying it is either now or never to make these cars. The Mustang GTD is fast becoming not only one of my favorite Mustangs ever, but it is also becoming one of my favorite supercars ever. If it does go into the 1000 HP territory, we are potentially talking about it also becoming the first Ford hypercar. Really some amazing stuff!

@leofhr2966 This new GTD will be sold to the public for $300k+. Literally, the vast majority of the Mustang fans will not buy this except for some of the racecar drivers who can afford this. The GTD will be in the class of its own for its performance and purpose. The price tag says it.

that's very close to the famous Bayside Blue of the R34/R35 Nissan GTR or Acura's special Apex Blue Pearl. looks good sprayed on the GTD.
The fact that you own parts of an F-22 Raptor (so they've said) makes it 💯% worth it IMO, the Raptor is my all-time favorite jet!

Coming from a camaro enthusiast. Props to for building the baddest version of the mustang regardless of what it would cost. Yes it is a very expensive mustang but it should be. I wish chevy made a camaro like the mustang gtd before they killed it. Anyways the Mustang GTD is a work of art!! Im excited to see what it clocks at the ring!

I haven't finished watching the entire video yet.. but saying that a "trans-axle" is unheard of.. in the mustang world?.. yes.. however, Chevy has been doing it for years in the Corvette..
As far as power speculation goes?.. i honestly have no idea.. they are obviously out to make a statement with the car,.. but i don't think 1k would be the target for a rear wheel drive , supercharged car that will make a bunch of torque also at the boost levels it will require for that blower to make 1k.
So, it's basically trying to find a border between fines, and inanity..

They say its +800hp , actually they mean crank HP not Whp, very easy just will pump up the boost with smaller pulley such as the one came on Raptor R , with some enhancment in the intake ,easly will hit 800chp, but we should consider there is limit in pump gas for boost application , they wont be able to exceed 830-850WHP , however i saw they reuse same Raptor R supercharge Lid cover which is mean even they didn't upgrade the cooling for the blower which consider very critical
Point in this application to keep the MCT ( manifold coolant Temp) in the safe rang to still see the 800hp+ in the track , otherwise once the blower temp incrase sounds like you drive stock 5.0😅

I have to applaud Ford for building and making this Mustang, essentially a street legal GT3 car. The car will smoke any other American car on the track and that includes all the Vettes.

Look don’t get triggered the Mustang is technically a street legal race car the zr1 which btw has never been tested is not. It’s solely a production car. It will likely weigh 400+ lbs more too with a marginal power difference.

Nice car and capability, but the 300k+ price tag is insanely absurd.🤢🤮😖. Even as a ZL1 owner, I thought 90k+ for the Collector’s Edition Panther ZL1 was ridiculous!!! It's the SAME car powertrain wise as my "regular" 2023 ZL1 that I paid 67k for but has different paint, a wing that's way overpriced, painted calipers, and stickers/badging.🤷🤷🤷Maybe I'm just a cheap old(45 year old) bastard!? 🤣🤣🤣
