I normally don't like growling, but I do like this, it offers the contrast between the hard and soft making this song so much bigger. Especially the end where she moves from soft to growl to belt and then back to growl. I just wish there was another belt part in that segment.
Yes, the growl can be mind blowing. In this song, though, the word “skittish” and the word “Sunbeam” are moments of glory. No judgment here, we all have a huge crush on Tatiana. She is a goddess! And yes her "regular" singing voice is so beautiful and hypnotic, kinda wish she did a lot more of it.
Jinjer in their entirety are unbelievably talented. Tati has shock value, sure. But her actual vocal abilities are so incredible. The power and emotion she puts behind both lyrics and vocals? Blows me away every time. Then you get Vlad, Roman, and Eugene. Without the immense talent of the people providing the music, and the creativity of all 4 members? We wouldn't get videos like this, reacting to and commenting on this talent. Because the music wouldn't exist, and that would be a shame, because there is so much to enjoy.

Oh, Katriinka! I think you've got it exactly right about this song, and how it, among other things, showcases Tati's ability to switch from one mood to another seemingly at will. This woman is mind blowing, multiple ranges and kills them all. HANDS DOWN game changer. The band in total is amazing. I just recently discovered this band and to find out they have been around for over a decade and I'm just now discovering them is mind blowing to me lol. Tatiana changed my appreciation for growls and screams forever. I didn't like them at all before and because of her brilliance I actually love them when they are used by highly skilled vocalists, especially those amazing females like Tatiana who have learned these difficult techniques. If you haven't been introduced, I highly recommend Courtney Laplante in her band Spiritbox. Courtney and Tatiana are the most exciting vocalists who move effortlessly through very different styles. The one take live videos that Courtney has released recently are excellent to analyze and admire her skill. Either way, I love your metal reactions and I can't wait for the next one whenever it comes out.

The other side of the contrast in styles, having seen nearly every reaction to this song on YT (who knows, it is possible I might have missed one haha) is that people don't freak out the first time she starts singing, though basically everyone is fairly wowed by it. But after the growl, most people are almost as shocked by the return to her cleans as they were by the growls. Incidentally, I love the first clean lines after she growls the first time "no promises I ever give, don't rely on me and I won't deceive" like she didn't trick anyone with those growls, it was their fault for assuming she'd always be sugar and spice. ;) And as nearly everyone has already said, the one-take video of her singing Judgement & Punishment is fiiiiiiire!

As others have already said, a reaction to « her » one take performance of Judgement and Punisment is really a good idea. Jinjer is a band and all members are very skilled musicians, and their videos show all members shine. But this particular video is Tatiana only with the song music. I may be wrong, but having look at many reactions, there are many who suppose it is not her voice, it is just post production. So I think it could be a bit because of it, to show what she do and without any distraction, without post production, only her signing captured by a fixed camera. It is very impressive. So, for a vocal coatch point of view, I suppose it should be interesting to react because even a non-signer like me can figure the use of many vocal technics and an incredible amount of practice to arrive at her actual level.

Tatiana is very attractive, so you have to fall in love with her. Nailed it - Tati is unique. My two favorite vocalists - Floor Jansen and Tatiana! So different... yet... both command your attention and totally own the stage. By far two of the best concerts of my life and I have seen a lot of music over 50 years... Jinjer are tight as a band... Vlad, if you listen (I know you do), the ghost beats are hidden but there... Roman shreds, but really supports Eugene on bass - where it normally is the other way around. Kudo's to both for their inverse roles! Jinjer is my favorite band. Such talent and unique sound.

At the end i would still consider that a Scream, just in a medium range (or maybe screams are high and medium would be called a shout?) to me growls are much lower, more comparable to some singing in a bass register

The part when she growls and switches to a clean E(?) is usually performed as a growl live. I believe she can't consistently hit that so the growl is actually easier for her. I've seen them live 2x and she has performed it both ways. I guess it's a feeling decision she makes during the performance.

Tatiana changed my appreciation for growls and screams forever. I didn't like them at all before and because of her brilliance I actually love them when they are used by highly skilled vocalists, especially those amazing females like Tatiana who have learned these difficult techniques.
If you haven't been introduced, I highly recommend Courtney Laplante in her band Spiritbox. Courtney and Tatiana are the most exciting vocalists who move effortlessly through very different styles. The one take live videos that Courtney has released recently are excellent to analyze and admire her skill.
Either way, I love your metal reactions and I can't wait for the next one whenever it comes out.

The other side of the contrast in styles, having seen nearly every reaction to this song on YT (who knows, it is possible I might have missed one haha) is that people don't freak out the first time she starts singing, though basically everyone is fairly wowed by it. But after the growl, most people are almost as shocked by the return to her cleans as they were by the growls. Incidentally, I love the first clean lines after she growls the first time "no promises I ever give, don't rely on me and I won't deceive" like she didn't trick anyone with those growls, it was their fault for assuming she'd always be sugar and spice. ;) And as nearly everyone has already said, the one-take video of her singing Judgement & Punishment is fiiiiiiire!

@@Katriinka oh, yes. :) She has many many dimensions. :D And omg her lyrics. It is rare enough for me to find actual wisdom in a singer's work, incredible when I find bits of wisdom in multiple songs.
Or, the people who's first ever exposure to Jinjer is Perrenial live or WGBTO live. If they have a metal background they might just be deeply appreciative of the growls and the real shock comes at the first switch to cleans.
It happens on the belt too. That is the third shock. Just when people though they've seen both sides, Tatiana pulls another trick out and people's jaws drop. The "Wait... There's more?!" reaction is often my favorite.
GET HELP JEFFERY. GET REAL HELP. There is more to life than commenting on Jinjer, ITM and all the other women fronted bands. None of these youtubers will sleep with you just because you support women vocalists.

As others have already said, a reaction to « her » one take performance of Judgement and Punisment is really a good idea.
Jinjer is a band and all members are very skilled musicians, and their videos show all members shine. But this particular video is Tatiana only with the song music. I may be wrong, but having look at many reactions, there are many who suppose it is not her voice, it is just post production. So I think it could be a bit because of it, to show what she do and without any distraction, without post production, only her signing captured by a fixed camera.
It is very impressive.
So, for a vocal coatch point of view, I suppose it should be interesting to react because even a non-signer like me can figure the use of many vocal technics and an incredible amount of practice to arrive at her actual level.
I have timed Tatianna’s switch from growl to her E5 riff. She went from her growl to the E5 voice in 0.97 second. So amazing!!
I never get tired of looking and listening to Tatiana. she is my favorite singer. she has a special gift to captivate people with her way of looking and her way of singing. but most of all through her appearance. this song in particular is brilliant and shows what kind of talent she has. I also love their quieter tones because their particularly beautiful voice comes out of it. the part where it gets louder is just as awesome. the musicians are also very brilliant because they are masters of their instruments. this song in particular shows what kind of harmony there is between all of them and the singer. Tatiana is very attractive, so you have to fall in love with her. Katriinka is also very pretty and I love to watch her reactions.
ich werde nie müde tatiana anzusehen und anzuhören. sie ist meine lieblingssängerin. sie hat eine besondere gabe die leute zu fesseln durch ihre art ihr aussehen und ihre art zu singen. am meisten aber durch ihr aussehen. gerade dieses lied ist genial und zeigt was für ein talent sie hat. ich liebe auch ihre leiseren töne weil ihre besondere schöne stimme dabei rauskommt. der teil wo sie eher lauter wird ist aber genauso genial. die musiker aber sind auch sehr genial denn sie sind meister ihrer instrumente. gerade dieses lied zeigt was für ein einklang zwischen ihnen allen auch mit der sängerin herrscht. Nailed it - Tati is unique. My two favorite vocalists - Floor Jansen and Tatiana! So different... yet... both command your attention and totally own the stage. By far two of the best concerts of my life and I have seen a lot of music over 50 years... Jinjer are tight as a band... Vlad, if you listen (I know you do), the ghost beats are hidden but there... Roman shreds, but really supports Eugene on bass - where it normally is the other way around. Kudo's to both for their inverse roles! Jinjer is my favorite band. Such talent and unique sound.

I've seen quite a few reactions to Jinjer, "Pisces". But this was the best by far, you rock girl.. and just so you know, Tatiana is my favorite female vocalist, by far. the song was about Pisces, the horoscope sign. And that is what Tatiana is, and it's always a fight between good and The Darkside if you will, By the way I am a Pisces also :-) and you are my favorite reactor/teacher, just so you know. The part when she growls and switches to a clean E(?) is usually performed as a growl live. I believe she can't consistently hit that so the growl is actually easier for her. I've seen them live 2x and she has performed it both ways. I guess it's a feeling decision she makes during the performance.
every good singer can take a very quick, in time decision to change the next step. it is very needed and to do it masterfully is really display of experience :) very good observation!
She can consistently hit that note lol. its more to do with if her ear monitor is good or not, she wont attempt to hit that if she cant hear herself.
