    Big hint for dually pick ups of all brands: do not wear out your tires up front. Every 15-20k miles buy two new tires of the brand you want to own. Put them on the front and rotate the best old ones to the back . At 45-60k you will have matching tires . Saves a ton of wear on front end parts

    I’m a new to owning a truck and to be honest was never a Dodge fan let alone their trucks. It was just something about them plus I was always a Chevy guy.
    Fast forward to more recently and I’m now the owner of a 16’ Ram Laramie Diesel Dually & this truck has turned into my dream truck.
    I specifically like the rear fenders and how they are molded into the overall design of the bed, to the front grille, to the interior design and layout. Also the fact that the I-6 engine is a BEAST for towing and the design most commonly used in big rigs.

      Ya see I included the name Dodge because I’m 54 years of age (one more day I’ll be 55). I’ve never been good at math but 30 years ago I woulda been almost 25 years old and grew up seeing Dodge Ram Trucks. So when I said I never like Dodge Ram I was talking about mostly the first 25 years or so of my life. This is really a great review! Thank you very much! A dealer told me that they had longer step board that is extended to real wheel. It's surprised that your trailer's tongue weight is 4400 Lbs, guess the payload is about 5000 Lbs, with passengers probably you won't be able to load much stuff.

      @AdventureRocks  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you. Yes, I was surprised when I weighed my fifth wheel after loading it up for the first time. It went from about 3500 pinweight to 4400 after all the upgrades and cargo. For some reason that particular floor plan seems to carry its weight more up front.

    What’s you think in duramax denali 3500hd

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  2 месяца назад

      I previously had the 2019 3500 Silverado with Duramax which was the 1st year with new engine in old body. It felt faster than the RAM by a good bit unladen. Towing, similar in many ways. It was very aggressive on engine breaking going downhill, but in a good way. Maybe I preferred overall towing experience on RAM just a little better, but GM was very confidence inspiring. I switched back to RAM mainly due to the lack of accompanying features, tech, and infotainment. But, now with GMs 2024 refresh inside, GM kinda takes the edge of the RAM/Cummins platform...much more competitive landscape. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but if I had to decide pre 2024, it'd be RAM 100%. 2024 and forward it's a toss up between them...might lean toward GM now that I've had my 2024 GMC for 6 mo.

Once I set the target pressure to 80 for my trailer, the system defaults to 50 each and every time I turn the truck off. Had it to 2 dealers, and I also did a complete reset and added back the sensors with the same result. I don’t think that’s suppose to roll that way. Filing a claim with Ram to see if the problem can be escalated. Have you experienced that or know of the issue? Any fix??

      @AdventureRocks  9 месяцев назад +2

      @@kevinmanning4272 thank you. I haven't heard about the trailer TPMS resetting to 50, but I do recall hearing about folks complaining that it would lose the memory of the 4x paired sensors and need to be repaired. If I recall there was some kind of glitch on a select batch in the 22 model year, but I can't remember now if there was a service bulletin or what the fix was. Either way, it sounds like a difficult problem to diagnose and fix. I think there were some comments about it from other users on the trailer TPMS video I did here:
