I was born and raised in Queens N.Y. And I've been to Central Park hundreds of times. I've even been inside and on the top floors of some of the buildings that surround the park. I must of missed the waterfalls! I'll definitely go see them next time I go! 👍🏻😄
Awww i miss tv of yester-years; would sit on the sofa watching Jay Leno whilst my wife studying next to me. Newly married, no kids, no car, little money, few possessions, rental flat had only 1 bedroom. Life was fun and easy.
He does show off cars of all types. Jay Leno’s Garage is good show. Some his own collection, but most are other folks with all kinds of cars and motorcycles, sometimes celebrities. Not the same as this, but still interesting. And yes, if Jay came back he would blow all these current late night hosts out of the water. They all stink.
I was a newspaper pressman for the L. A. Times for 26 years and most of that time was on the night crew that ran the headlines . it was really exciting when a major story broke and you knew your crew would be getting the story out to the public . it really made you proud !!!
Jay didn't need to write them, they wrote themselves. While Jimmy/crew may write their own material, if it's not any good and loses viewers (myself included), what's the point?
I don't know how many times I've seen episodes like these but they are always fun to come back too. Jay Leno was a very funny man, still is. Thanks much.
I have to give Jay credit for keeping a straight face. It it was me hosting this segment I would’ve lost it and everything would just go down hill from. Having said that Jay and Kevin really worked well and we all miss them. Perhaps some network can reunite them! Well?
I saw Jay before he hit it big at Tommy T's San Leandro, Ca. around 1982-ish give or take. A friend got me to go saying he was the funniest comedian there's ever been.. Jay was a comic and improv master, light years ahead of anyone, the entire club completely lost it, non stop during his show and as he always was/is Jay was just a sweetheart of a guy. He was really really skinny with ultra jet black hair and his iconic and lovable jaw was very prominent. It was easy to tell that night he was no ordinary comic and was headed for Greatness. God Bless you Jay, the only great, good natured and real comedian in late night history barring Johnny Carson. Keep the rest of the no talent politically divisive haters on now. Jay, there's no one like you!
His stand up was edgy. He toned it down big time to fit late night format. He stars in a movie with Pat Morita called Collision Course, a B movie which is something fun to watch. Full movie is free on youtube.
Thanks for posting this...it makes me laugh aloud! 2020 headlines are not very funny (Covid-19, economic ruin, civil unrest, etc,) but Leno's Headlines are hilarious!
I don't think I ever watched Leno when he was on but I have become a huge fan of his just through watching these videos on RUclips! I really think he's great!
I've been saying it the same way since high school and I'm 31. I used to watch Leno every night then but never put 2 and 2 together. Now I know where I got that from. I miss Jay.
Just for grins and since the married couple had such a unique name of "Drown," I googled his name. The couple was married 33 years, but Robin passed away 4 days before her 52nd birthday, on July 2, 2010...of cancer, which she battled for 10 years. She seemed to have been a very special person, judging from her obit. RIP.
Some of his comments are funnier than the headlines. Do you think they are all spontaneous, or do writers make suggestions? If they are spontaneous, then Jay is a comic genius.
have not wasted my time on late night for that reason, for 10 years...thanks for the warning. its the reason Joe rogan just got a 200 m deal. from a podcast...classic
It seems all they want to do is talk about Trump, doesn't it? Jay used to do jokes about Clinton and Bush but he didn't do entire monologues about them the way they do Trump nowadays.
I miss the old days. I watch none of the current idiots. So glad I can see Jay's Garage... I miss Kevin! He's the perfect backboard. (I don't like the term sidekick)
From Australia, where we didn’t receive Jay but do now thanks to RUclips, I look at the current stash of late night hosts and think, “Is this who they have now instead of Leno and Letterman?” There’s no comparison.
24:45 - “Fireworks to be aired on radio”. If you read the article, it’s actually a neat concept. Parts of the music will be choreographed with the explosions. Once, when stationed at a Army base, they put on a Jul 4 fireworks display, during which the 1812 Overture was played. In case you don’t know about this piece of music, there are times when there are canon explosions. They used real cannons! When you pause the video the various controls may get in the way of the text, and the display may get a little dimmer. In case you don’t know how to remove them, once the video is in the desired position (hopefully you know how to do that), tap or click to either side of the “Play” button/triangle and the controls should disappear, and the screen appear back to normal brightness.
@@lynnie6633 Yes, great pairing. It was apparent, watching the show all those years, that the two of them were good friends and respected each other. Johnny had Ed and they'd been together for so long they seemed to communicate on some private plain, yet Jay and Kevin "clicked" in as much shorter time. (I recall Jay's original Music Director was---er, no so much.) Stay safe.
I loved how he'd pop the cards up and also how he tossed them. Leno was awesome. I quit late night when he left. This new stuff is garbage. Always looked forward to Headlines, and weddings.
Cook County Forest Preserves are a great place for families. As for the occasional dead bodies, we aren't as particular as Leno's people in California. It is educational for children to see dead bodies, so they can recognize them when they come across the victims of mob hits or cop killings of citizens who try to avoid traffic tickets. Please, come to Chicago and visit our Forest Preserves. Bring your family. Oh, and don't forget your guns.
I love it when he cracks himself up😊
Really miss this show with Jay!
Headlines was the best part of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Even though I was generally more of a Letterman fan, I always changed it over to Leno on Mondays!
And Jaywalking
Agree
And then Fallon completely copied it and made it worse with bad signs.
100% agreed.

I really miss seeing the headlines. I think Jay could have a show doing just that. It would beat all the other late-night shows.
And Jaywalking and 99 cent store items. All super hilarious.
HE'S DOING STAND-UP COMEDY AGAIN, STILL HAS HIS OTHER SHOWS..LATE-NIGHT SUCKS LIKE A NEW VACUUM CLEANER NOW..
He does show off cars of all types. Jay Leno’s Garage is good show. Some his own collection, but most are other folks with all kinds of cars and motorcycles, sometimes celebrities. Not the same as this, but still interesting.

Yes!
He is reportedly doing this bit in his revived version of the game show, "You Bet Your Life."

These are the best cure for the blues! I haven't laughed so hard in years! Jay was excellent!
Jay Leno was the best, and an all around great guy.
yes !! what you said ❤
I always loved Jay's monologue....Headlines were always hilarious!
As a journalist, I laugh especially hard at these. Hysterically funny.
Those were all great!! I miss Leno! He and Kevin were great together.

Kevin laughing in the background made it that much funnier!!
The last great Late Night host. Everyone since is annoying and garbage. Conan is ok, but not as good as he was back in the day.

I miss headlines. Jay Leno was the best host of The Tonight Show, IMHO. I grew up on Carson, but I laughed myself to tears, more often with Jay. 💜
Jay Leno was the best.
Johnny Carson brought out the best in his guests. Jay Leno was funny on his own. Both were great hosts--just different skills.
Headlines were THE BEST Much better than some of the “skits” @jimmyfallon has
The funny part about that is, Jay didn’t even write this headlines. Jimmy and team work much harder at their original material.
Jay didn't need to write them, they wrote themselves.

Jay Leno and his show was the best. He can never be replaced,
No way. He was the best.
Certainly not by jimmy Flalon
Jay's comments are what makes these work so well.
@@gispel7058 genius*
I think differently. It's the headlines that are funny. If Jay milks them too much, it distracts from the humor of the misprint.
I have to give Jay credit for keeping a straight face. It it was me hosting this segment I would’ve lost it and everything would just go down hill from. Having said that Jay and Kevin really worked well and we all miss them. Perhaps some network can reunite them! Well?
I keeping watching these. After a tough day, these are like medicine.
Allen, Paar, Carson, Leno. Back when The Tonight Show was entertaining with great hosts.
Those were the days.
Brandon Alan, you are right.
Falkon doesn't know how to tell a joke
Always hilarious. I love the police blotter voice change.Jay and Kevin were great.
i'm laughing out loud for the 1st time in quite a while....
thanks Jay & co.
Thank you Mr Leno for the laughs!
I love Jay Leno!! By far the goat of late night TV! IMO! ❤️
Wow back when the tonight show didn't suck ! Still miss Johnny Carson !
These bring me so much joy, thank you
Jay headlines were the best. He should have a nightly headlines show.
Love these videos, thanks so much for sharing!

Ah, the good old days when late night shows were funny.
I sent one in and he actually chose it and read it!
Awesome
I love when Jay says “IDIOT”.

i watch these every night before bed most are so dumb they're funny i laugh my moms like what are you laughing at

Wondering if Jay Leno ever used this hilarious headline from the NY Post: "Headless Man Found In Topless Bar."
YES, HE DID, LOL..
The one about the French having the leaning tower, the real good example of misinformation.
As a French man I must say I agree.
Jay's A Classic. I Really Miss Him!
Jay is awesome
“Homeless man under house arrest” lol love it! I mean, if you MUST be under house arrest…
I miss you Jay Leno😍
I miss Jay. Late night TV is crap now. Ferguson was awesome too.
