Well what a headache this one turned out to be and garenteed I made this look harder than need be again, lol. I am possitive this car is out to try me, lol. I have sourced all the replacement parts and have started putting it all back together bit by bit when its not raining. This is the first video i have done using my new camera aswell so getting use to it all and some new software for editing the videos too.
When you do the other side leave the pinch bolt in and put a socket on the drive shaft and give it a welly when you took it off the struct you made it harder. Plus get a plumbers blow torch and heat it up for couple of minutes
@@ChazzCoombes Dose you car light come on when u unlock the car if it dose check to see if nunber plate light come on 2 if not ive got a nice mod you may like ive done it on mine really easy and i would effcet you light or mot
I use a deep impact socket about the same size as the hole where the splines are. A few love taps with a heavy hammer do the job. The socket will put pressure against the entire diameter of the cv splines instead of a punch or bar just contacting a small portion. Also I would just remove the outer track rod, drop link, ball joint and then cv and just swing the hub out, leave the strut bolt alone and you have plenty of room without it being too wobbly because there's no strut holding the knuckle vertical. 82mm Gen 2 wheel bearing hub removal/installation tool is what is needed. I feel your pain I was out in the rain changing my strut top mounts has to be done if a driveway is all you got can't let the weather stop you just wrap up well and get stuck in.
