I’ve had a 2210 since the mid ‘90ies and picked a 2203 up last Saturday. Had the 2210 recapped. Since then it barks again like in the early years. The 2203 has a lot less gain, but the same agressive bark. It needs boost, I’m using a Schaffer-replica and an OD-808 for that. Still think the 2210 comes really close. I still like the ease of the 2210 as opposed to of the 2203 with boost pedals. Might need to test an SD-1, that was the best 2203 sound I ever heard. What they both do best is bark. No other brand barks like a Marshall.

Hello, I congratulate you on your channel, it must be the best comparative video I saw on RUclips about Marshall amplifiers, a cordial greeting from the south of Argentina, sincerely, Nicolas
Great video! Love both, but the Silver Jubilee is my favorite Marshall. I have an original 1987 2555 model and it sounds amazing. The rhythm clip on the clean channel is my go to tone, but I use the lead channel for solos. Who needs clean lol.....
Thank you! I hadn’t messed much with the Rhythm Clip channel until making this video, but when I pulled it and started playing those 80’s riffs I was blown away!!!!!! I need to explore that channel/mode much more!!!! Thanks for watching!!!!!
When I ordered a Design Store version of the Jubilee with a matching 2x12 cab, I had to wait a few weeks for it to arrive. During that time, I watched possibly every video on RUclips about the amp and was surprised by how many people managed to make it sound terrible. In contrast, you, sir, make it sound great! At one point, I owned both the Studio Vintage and the Studio Jubilee, both great amps in their own right and I bet I would enjoy the JCM800 as well.
Wow - thank you for those kind words! I didn’t know a Design Store version existed, I’ll have to look into that! I really dig my studio Vintage and Classic. That said, I’d love to have the 100 watt versions but I just can’t afford em. For the Plexi, I doubt I’d be able to crank it to the required volume (had the Bugera clone but full volume was just too much - worried about the neighbors wanting to kill me LOL). With a 2203 though I think I could get what I’m looking for below Plexi volume. Alas, maybe one day LOL. Thanks for watching!
I was so lucky to get a 100 watt Silver at a HUGE discount when marshall started pushing the mini version. It is f ing awesome. I had an 800 years ago, regretted selling and now I don't care.
There's some great playing and great tones here. Its hard for me to tell which is better. Both sound great. The 50w jubilee was my first Marshall. I've been hooked and exclusively Marshall since. I remember them as having a lot of midrange. I ended up falling in love with the other JCM800s...the split channel ones. But I agree that the 2203 is fantastic too. It's been a long time but i think i prefer the 2203 and definitely the 2210 over the jubilees.
Both of those JCM800’s are fantastic sounding amps, they’re a classic and were the standard for a long time, for good reason! Thanks for your kind words and thank you for watching!
There's nothing like an old school Superlead - I think that's probably my favorite Marshall tone. Even with the Baby Plexi, it's just fantastic!!! Thank you for watching!
Also worth mentioning that the Jubilee was designed to pair with the Marshall Vintage speakers. The midrange comes to life with that combination. I think these 2 amps shine with different cabinets.
Most definitely! I used a 4x12 loaded with Celestion G12 EVH speakers (essentially greenbacks) in this video but these amps, especially the Jubilee, sound great with Vintage 30’s too! Thanks for watching!
@TheGuitarNerdShow I think there's a difference between Vintage 30s and the Marshall Vintage speakers that come in some Marshall cabs. Both made by Celestion but slightly different voicing
excellent presentation man 👍 as usual. Good, comprehensive sound and all clearly demonstrated, no need for questions 🙂 I see the advantage of Jubilee in a studio, but 2203/4 has more "life" in it, rawness, and I just love it, taming the beast.
I get exactly where you’re coming from. I hadn’t spent much time with the JCM800 without pedals before doing this video and was really impressed with how it felt and sounded once I cranked the volume. Thanks for watching!
@@TheGuitarNerdShow yep, that's why I use the attenuator. To set up the power section first to get that nice smooth "engine" sound without harshness and hi-end fizz and then I fiddle with the preamp gain to find that break-up point between clean and distorted where the sound is not compressed but starting to be punchy
Good video and good playing ...I like how you ran both amps the way they are intended to be ....I like the old 800 ,but it takes time to find a good one ...I probably lean more towards the Jubilee ,it has some very useful extra functions ,without being to complicated ...
Good video and awesome playing! I own both, a 1982 2203 and a new Re-Issue Jubilee. The 800 is a bit more aggressive and percussive sounding, the Jubilee darker and compressed. The Jubilee is however a lot more user friendly: more gain on tap, awesome loop, great Master Volume that tapers very well and very responsive EQ controls. Both are awesome! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video. I've owned a custom built 50w jubilee for the better part of 11 years now and it's been my main stage amp. I've played several 800's but never gotten the chance to spend a meaningful amount of time with one in my studio or the stage but my impressions are that the 800 sounds and feels similar to my plexi clone I used to have after Kurt from Granger amps did the push pull cascading gain/Jose mod. It's a more raw and unpolished marshall sound compared to my jubilee with a bit more sag and splatty low end/lower midrange. The jubilee is fun though because although it does have a more polished and buttoned up structure (like the 800's better mannered brother), the amp set to the crunch mode in the clean channel delivers that more raw and open uncompressed sound of the old circuits that I actually enjoy better than the amp's main lead channel. I like that the lead channel gives me a good amount of gain that I think the 800 would maybe need a pedal to achieve, I still prefer running the jubilee on the crunch mode with a pedal. Edit: I see you have a quad cortex too over in the related videos. I recently captured some jubilee profiles of mine. Check them out if you have time. cloud.neuraldsp.com/cloud/p/07eb04a1-1225-4b2b-b27b-0e356bca4904 cloud.neuraldsp.com/cloud/p/3d655f89-f7f1-44c1-bb68-91bcc461bcae
I love the Jubilee in “Rhythm Clip” mode. I guess because it has less diodes or whatever, but it’s just raunchy! And hot it with a Boss SD-1 - whew!!!!!!
As once being an owner of the Jubilee series,,, It was in the ball park of the JCM 800, the jubilee was to me about the same but in a silver face. Both are killer,,,,
I agree that both are killer. But I’m hearing some definite differences between the two. To me neither sounds better, maybe better for different things? Thank you for watching!
I just bought a 2203 -85 with horizontal inputs with a matching cab. Some of the more meager people left the building when I tried it out at 4 on volume.
Have a 2203X and a 1990 Jubilee 2555. Both are fantastic amps and have that "Marshall" sound. You did an excellent job describing the differences. I generally play the Jubilee at home because it sounds great at a MV of just under 2 and the EQ is very responsive. Additionally, as you point out, it's basically a 3 channel amp with Clean, Crunch, and Lead modes. I can achieve any tone that I am looking for with the Jubilee. The 2203X is more classic Marshall roar. For cranked tones, the Jubilee needs the MV at about a 7 to really shine, but the 2203X does that between 4 and 5. The 2203X is a much louder amp to my ear. But in my 8x8 space, there is not a lot of opportunity to crank these amps. For recording, I use a Suhr Reactive Load IR and it does an amazing job in getting authentic cranked Marshall tones without forcing everyone, including the cat, to need to leave the house. GREAT video and excellent playing too! I subscribed!
I bought a used jubilee like 20 year ago, and only had 2 guitars both with emgs. i though something was wrong with my pickups like a short or bad batteries because of the of the volume on the jubilee. Until i figured out the sweep of the volume , it was like about 2 weeks of trying to understand what was wrong or what i thought was wrong at the time.
Excellent demo of the Jubilee, you explained really well how it works. I own the 2555x, the clean channel with the rhythm clip engaged is my basic sound.
Thank you! I’m new to the Jubilee but I’m really growing to love it. Hadn’t even considered the Rhythm Clip mode till I made this video, now I can’t get enough of it!!! Thanks for watching!
Silver Jubilee for me and when I want something much smaller I'm a huge fan of the much newer DSL 40C with the UK Made Creamback speaker. It's a great little rig
Possibly so. In truth, I was surprised how bright it can actually get. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to dial in the bite that I like but Thereve been zero problems with that. Thanks for watching!
The Jubilee is my preferred since I’ve had them both. Especially now with venues being pricks about stage volumes, the Jube is plug and play at any volume. It’s extra handy when your rhythm guitarist shows up with little practice amp and you want tone without drowning them out too much. Both are classics.
Up until now the JCM800 is my favourite Marshall, probably my favourite amp of all time. But I'm going to have to try a Jubilee now. I really want to try the rhythm clip setting and then hit it with an old fashioned Treble Booster. I have a hunch...
Ya know - I don't have a ton of experience with the JCM800 but to me, that and the Plexi-style are the quintessential Marshalls. Similarly I didn't have much real experience with the Jubilee. I mistakenly thought it was pretty similar to an 800, maybe the 2 channel 800. I couldn't have been more wrong - they're completely different beasts! My amps stay here in my studio, but on a gig, I'd probably choose the Jubilee over the JCM800 because of versatility as well as the more venue friendly volume knobs LOL!!!! Thank you for watching!
When I do one of these videos, usually whatever riffs I play are just riffs that pop into my head while fiddling around. Nice to know they’re resonating. Thanks for your kind words and thank you for watching!
Slight correction: the 2203/2204 does not have an additional gain stage or additional preamp tube over the 1959 or 1987. Having said that, absolutely killer demo of both. This is how they should sound!
There’s no additional tube, but I believe there IS an additional gain stage - in the older Plexi style amp, unless it’s got the cascaded gain stage mod (aka Randy Rhoads mod) the signal passes through one half of V1. With the Roads mod, as in the 220x the signal passes through both sides, one after the other, enabling the extra preamp drive. This is as it was explained to me by a couple well respected amp techs/builders. But still just the three 12ax7’s. Thank you for watching!!!
Thanks for your kind words! Ya know, it really depends on what I’m going for. It I want that late 70’s raunch or something Zakk Wylde-ish, I’ll usually go for the 800. If I want ‘sorta 800 but different’, then the Jubilee might be my go to. Thank you for watching!
I have a modded Jubelee from 1987 and a modded JCM 2000. The Jubelee is by far the best Marshall for high gain rhythm guitar. Solo solos i might want something more open like the JCM Green channel with a Malmsteen overdrive. But I never ever sell mine.
Great video - i just bought a Jube studio and while i love the functionality, part of me wonders if i should have gone with the 800 for that thinner more classic marshall tone. Is the 800 studio really impractical at home? Man you're way much more practiced than i am but your taste and style is really similar to mine. Soon as you played Watchin' You, you had a subscriber.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Ya know, when I make these videos, I never know what I'm going to play, so most of the time it ends up being a mix of off the top of my head stuff and then that'll trigger my memory of other licks. In that regard, Watchin' You just happened. Then I had to pause and figure out the riff real quick cause I've never played it but grew up a Kiss freak so that riff's etched into my brain LOL!!!!! With regard to the 'lil 800, you can turn it down fairly low, especially in 5 watt mode but you'll probably need to hit it with a drive pedal. That's ok, though, that's how most people use an 800 for that type of sound. Thank you for your kind words!
Now compare the JCM 900? 😁 Really enjoy my 1959HW full stack; for similar tones at lower volume, the Origin 50 does well enough - even better when you consider the price. I know it's not everyone's fav Marshall, but I really enjoy my JVM410H - it has much of the history of Marshall in a single box. As usual, opening up the master addresses some complaints some have; it's not going to sound identical in a side by side comparison, but if you want a versatile Marshall channel switcher it's great IMO. I have other amp brands for other things, but honestly nothing sounds better to me than Marshall's. edit: my favorite Marshall amp? That's my Engl Artist Edition 100 E651, I can get Plexi, JMP, JCM 800 tones.
I would LOVE to have a 900 to throw into the mix, and it’s coming! Just gonna take some time so I can pay off the debts of the amps I’ve already bought LOL! Thank you for watching!
It really does. I'm still familiarizing myself with it but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. I love it! In fact, I'm thinking my next video will be Jubilee related so stay tuned! Thank you for watching!!!
Interesting! I have the Fender Tonemaster Pro and it has its version of a JCM 800 50 watt head as well as the 3 channels of the Jubilee head. And I have to say, tone-wise, the Jubilee beats the JCM800. But, it does require a bit of coaxing EQ wise to get the sound I want. Of course, as most of us know, there's so much that factor into tone.
Great video. My Marshall Studio preferences would be Plexi, Jubilee, JTM and JCM800 last. However the Jubilee jumps ahead of the Plexi due the master volume. Would be interested in a video comparing the Jubilee with different cabinets (at least Combo vs Half Stack). Guessing the best option is the head and half stack. But at almost twice the cost of the combo, is it worth it?
Thank you for your kind words! That’s a great idea! I’ve got four 4x12’s set up and mic’d - maybe I’ll do a video comparing the different speaker types using the Jubilee. Thanks for the idea! Thank you also for watching!!!!!
Wow, really? Thank you Bro! Thats a Slate ML2 straight into my interface. No mic modeling or anything turned on. I have it on a boom attached to the ceiling, it’s roughly centered on my head , just above the frame. Thank you for watching!
Marshall should update the 800 with modern features. My old one doesn’t even have fx loop. All of their new amps should have power scaling, updated EQ, as well as IR outs like all 21st century amps should by now. They need to ditch the cheap small amp and headphones and such and focus on creating better flagship amps instead of riding the coattails of their betters that were doing this before them.
Unfortunately the headphones and all that stuff accounts for upwards of 90% of the Marshall company’s income. That said, they need to do what the new CEO has said they’re gonna do and funnel that money into their amp making and bring the company into modern times, without losing sight of what got them here. I’m optimistic. Thanks for watching.
The Jubilee is the better amp choice for players who gig, the JCM-800 is all about nostalgia. It's the same choice between the mini-plexi (SV-20H) and mini-JTM, (ST-20H) the mini-plexi is for the players, and the new mini-JTM is for nostalgia.
Marshall came out with the Jmp master volume, before the 800, in the late 70s great sounding amps, Jcm actually😂 shares the same circuit in the early years of the 800
From what I understand the circuit of the late 70’s 2293 is slightly different (and better sounding). But essentially it’s the same amp - I mentioned in my video that the 2203 basically became the JCM800. A late 70’s 2203 is definitely on my bucket list! Thanks for watching!
Sure. In fact, I made a video about my Strays a few months ago the ago with all the details that you might enjoy, check it out. ruclips.net/video/EKaUo93I9L0/видео.htmlsi=mbTT334-YJPTlfZY Thank you for watching.
Not a fan of the 2203. The one's I played had a wooly tone. The 2204 however - to my ears - sounded much nicer. Overall, I prefer the 2555x; it's just easier to live with given the tone control sensitivity and gain at lower volumes.
I used to have a 2204; maybe it wasn't tuned up or biased correctly, I dunno. But mine didn't have much chug, which is why I let it go. I do wish I still had it though, if only for sake of comparison. Thank you for watching!
I hear that, but at the same time, it gets to sounding more full. Truthfully, I think the sweet spot is somewhere in the 4 to 5 range on the MV. Preamp volume around 6 is also about right. Above that it starts to get pretty mushy - though an SD-1 can help with that. Thank you for watching!
The tone controls on the jube are so extreme you can get those old nasty bright supro tones Page used on Led Zeppelin 1. The eq controls are ridiculous on that amp
I dunno, I think it all depends on what you're going for. But I will say, I like the added gain and the low end chug factor of the Jubilee! Thanks for watching!
Well why’d ya skip? The whole objective is to check out the differences and choose which one you dig more LOL!!!!! I don’t know that I have a preference. It all depends on what I’m playing through them. Thanks for watching!!
Are we really comparing the newer 20W release of an iconic 100W amp capable of 160dB music power output now using the weak trafos to compete with a 100W output of Silver Jubilee?? If so, it is a big mistake. I owns both. They need to roar onstage with MV at least set to 7/10. Now, while 2555X is a lions roar, 2203 is a volcano like f.cking bear willing to rip you apart to pieces and put you together back again just for a while to rip your head off again and again.. the hotter the tubes are, the more fierce the sound!!! 😂
For on stage or amp in the room I agree. For mic’d tone, it’s not QUITE the same though. That said, I’d prefer the balls of a 100w 2203 but for relative tone this comparison is somewhat accurate. Thank you for watching.
While that is true, I used the SERIES name because the 2203/2204 is what a lot of people think of when they hear JCM800. That said, I did mention in the video that I was speaking specifically of the single channel JCM800 model 2203/2204 variants. Additionally the thumbnail clearly depicts a Jubilee and a model 2203/2204 head. My apologies if that wasn’t specific enough for you. Thanks for watching.
I think it all depends on what you're going for. If you're going for the drop tuned brutal chug stuff, then yeah, the Rec is king but even then an unmodified Dual Rec pretty much needs a boost in front to clean up the flubby low end and at that point, either one of these amps will chug pretty mercilessly as well. For anything other than that though, my Marshalls are usually my go to. Also, combining an 800 (or a Jubilee) with a Rectifier is even better! But you've given me an idea: maybe I'll do a 'will it chug' video on one or both of these amps and compare it with my Dual Rectifier. Could be interesting... Thanks for watching!
Prefer the JCM800. It's a purer form of the circuit. Don't want any solid state components in my Marshall. More gain can be had with a Hot Mod or hot pickups or a TS to bump the signal up front. I like how the tone stack is more responsive with the Jubilee though. Solution is to have both of these amps I suppose. Not a fan of the grey tolex.
Yeah the 800 is definitely a more pure signal path for sure - not so far removed from a Plexi! That said though the Jubilee surprised me in how they made it sound so good even using clipping diodes. That said though - there's nothing like a cranked Plexi OR JCM800! Just beasts of tone! Thank you for watching!
What's your favorite Marshall amp? Lets talk about it!
1969 100 watt superbass "metal face plexi". Answer to the clean headroom: fryette power station and an OD pedal (I like the rat for 80s rock).
I bought brand new in 87 the JCM 2550 version of the jubilee. Still have it. Only difference is output watts and color I believe.
My rebuilt/restored 1969 100 watt Plexi. Of course.
I’ve had a 2210 since the mid ‘90ies and picked a 2203 up last Saturday. Had the 2210 recapped. Since then it barks again like in the early years. @TheGuitarNerdShow I think there's a difference between Vintage 30s and the Marshall Vintage speakers that come in some Marshall cabs. Both made by Celestion but slightly different voicing
Yes the jubilees came with Marshall Vintage speaker 8 ohms
Very worth mentioning if I remember correctly Marshall introduced the vintage speakers for the jubilees and possibly the studio 15 combo.
I just got a VS Audio Platinum (Jubilee IAB), it's perfect for my bedroom!!
Nice playing sir, cheers.
Thanks for your kind words and thank you for watching!
best review of the jubilee.....people doesn't know how to show this amp......thanks!
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say!
Thank you for watching!
excellent presentation man 👍 as usual.
Thanks for your kind words!
I agree - I think for most cases I'd choose the Jubilee just because of the flexibility.
Thank you for watching!
I love this video. Well done!
Why thank you!!!!!! Thank you for always watching!
I concur completely with your assessments. The Jubilee continues to impress me!
Thanks for watching!

I love the Jubilee in “Rhythm Clip” mode. I guess because it has less diodes or whatever, but it’s just raunchy! And hot it with a Boss SD-1 - whew!!!!!!
As once being an owner of the Jubilee series,,,
It was in the ball park of the JCM 800, the jubilee was to me about the same but in a silver face.
Both are killer,,,,
I agree that both are killer. But I’m hearing some definite differences between the two. To me neither sounds better, maybe better for different things?
Thank you for watching!
I tried both and i own a jcm2000. I think mine is the best of both worlds!
Nothing wrong there - I LOVE my JCM2000 DSL100!
Thanks for watching!
I just bought a 2203 -85 with horizontal inputs with a matching cab. Some of the more meager people left the building when I tried it out at 4 on volume.
Mmmmmm. A 2203 on ‘4’ is a thing to behold, indeed!
Thank you for watching!
I agree with everything…’cept the cat. Tell smitten to toughen up LOL!
Thanks for subscribing and thank you for watching!
Yeah that volume sweep really is unlike most if not all other Marshalls.
Thank you for watching!
This JCM 800 sounds sweet with that Strat
I think so too! Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching!
Silver Jubilee for me and when I want something much smaller I'm a huge fan of the much newer DSL 40C with the UK Made Creamback speaker. It's a great little rig
I haven’t heard the newer DSLs. I need to check them out.
Thanks for watching!
Great video man! Maybe the jubilee is a bit more darker sounding? However two awesome amps!
Possibly so. In truth, I was surprised how bright it can actually get. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to dial in the bite that I like but Thereve been zero problems with that.
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thanks for the break down of the two amps. Both are awesome.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
The Jubilee is my preferred since I’ve had them both. Especially now with venues being pricks about stage volumes, the Jube is plug and play at any volume. It’s extra handy when your rhythm guitarist shows up with little practice amp and you want tone without drowning them out too much. Both are classics.
The Jubilee really does do a great job pretty much at any level. I love it!!!
Thank you for watching!
I have the 2525h ( the little guy ) and I really dig how much of a chameleon it is ! Clean chords , 80’s , modern , 70’s etc etc
Oh yeah. The Jubilee amps are a home run all the way around! I love em.
Thank you for watching!
Thanx for the good video ! I own the Studio 20W version of the Jubilee and I love it ! :D
I’m really impressed with the Marshall Studio series! I have the Vintage and the Classic and they’re great!
Fuckin cool video. In this video the Silver Jub sounded best to me. Nice metal riffs!
Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
When I do one of these videos, usually whatever riffs I play are just riffs that pop into my head while fiddling around. Nice to know they’re resonating.
Thanks for your kind words and thank you for watching!
I have the jubilee. It’s an awesome amp
It sure is! Thanks for watching!!!!!
Have 'em both, love 'em both.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome playing and great video!! Nice job!!
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
@@TheGuitarNerdShow No additional gain stage on bone stock Marshalls we are talking about. I've worked on quite a few of them.
Awesome video. Do you prefer the 800 or the Jub?
Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
Thanks for your kind words!
Ya know, it really depends on what I’m going for. It I want that late 70’s raunch or something Zakk Wylde-ish, I’ll usually go for the 800. If I want ‘sorta 800 but different’, then the Jubilee might be my go to.
Thank you for watching!
@@TheGuitarNerdShowi dont know if you play thrash metal, but for that style, would you pick the Jubilee?
@@portuguesebeer5069 Late reply, but gary holt uses a jubilee
Enough said i guess
@@DigiEvoluido i know, brother
@@portuguesebeer5069 The jubilee is a bit better imo, I have played both and the jubi sounds more "trash ready" than the 800
Great review!
Thank you!
had a 67, 200 watt marshall. best ever.
Nice
I have a modded Jubelee from 1987 and a modded JCM 2000. The Jubelee is by far the best Marshall for high gain rhythm guitar. Solo solos i might want something more open like the JCM Green channel with a Malmsteen overdrive. But I never ever sell mine.
Sweet setup! Thanks for watching!
Great comparison showing both amps! Jubilee wins IMO
Thank you! Yeah, the Jubilee is a killer amp - it surprises me Marshall abandoned this one for a while.
Thank you for watching!
@@TheGuitarNerdShow right on. First record i ever bought was Rock N Roll Over. Thanks for the info
Now compare the JCM 900? 😁
Really enjoy my 1959HW full stack; for similar tones at lower volume, the Origin 50 does well enough - even better when you consider the price.
Jubilee sounds glorious.
For most cases I prefer the Jubilee but there something about that JCM800 tone that makes it a must have for me.
Thank you for watching!
Those aren't real Marshall amplifiers in your case, you are comparing two Fendered models of Marshalls not real physical Marshall amplifiers
Great video!
Thanks Bro! And thanks for watching!!!!!!
If only the Jubilee came with a foot switch control for the Rhythm Clip.
TBH I haven’t even plugged the footswitch in so I didn’t know it doesn’t do that. Thanks for the info. And thank you for watching!
Great tones!
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Finally some Kiss riffs! It's honestly almost cliched at this point to hate on Kiss, but Ace had some great riffs and Marshall tones.
He really did! Definitely my first influence way back when!!!!
Thank you for watching!
Thank you also for watching!!!!!
what mic are you using and where is it positioned? SOUNDS GREAT! talking about your vocal
Wow, really? Thank you Bro!
Thats a Slate ML2 straight into my interface. No mic modeling or anything turned on. I have it on a boom attached to the ceiling, it’s roughly centered on my head , just above the frame.
Thank you for watching!
Epic Dude!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Yeah, to get “THAT” JCM800 tone you gotta crank it & even the little fella is pretty darn loud!
Thank you for watching!
May I know more about the Strat that you are playing?
Sure. In fact, I made a video about my Strays a few months ago the ago with all the details that you might enjoy, check it out.

Not a fan of the 2203. The one's I played had a wooly tone. The 2204 however - to my ears - sounded much nicer. Overall, I prefer the 2555x; it's just easier to live with given the tone control sensitivity and gain at lower volumes.
Thank you for watching!!!!
I like the Jubilee better but I wouldn't say it blows away the 800 though .
I agree. They’re fairly different amps, more so than I thought before I got the Jubilee.
Thank you for watching!
My 50 watt JCM is a chug machine
I used to have a 2204; maybe it wasn't tuned up or biased correctly, I dunno. But mine didn't have much chug, which is why I let it go. I do wish I still had it though, if only for sake of comparison.
Thank you for watching!
Jcm 800 2203 w/legendary tones Lynch mod…..you’re welcome
Looking forward to getting my hands on one of those.
Thank you for watching!
Inthis video, the JCM800 20W sounds MUCH better at LOW volume. When cranked, it looses almost all bite and jangle and gets mushy.
They sure are! And such great sounds!
Thank you for watching!
Jubilee.
I love it! Thanks for watching!
That Studio series JCM800 does not sound right. A real JCM800 has balls and guts.
It definitely misses that low mid Grunt of a 2203. For recording though it does a good job.
Thank you for watching!
Had both at one time. Can confirm
Even the mini Jubilee sounds better than JCM800, imo
I dunno, I think it all depends on what you're going for. But I will say, I like the added gain and the low end chug factor of the Jubilee!
Thanks for watching!
Skipped to the end.
You have to give your answer / make a choice, dude...
Well why’d ya skip? The whole objective is to check out the differences and choose which one you dig more LOL!!!!!
I don’t know that I have a preference. It all depends on what I’m playing through them.
Thanks for watching!!
@TheGuitarNerdShow well yeah, for others to judge and comment, but a brash conclusion on camera would be refreshing.
JCM800 is a SERIES, not a MODEL! There are at least seventeen JCM800 models that I can name, possibly more. BE MORE SPECIFIC.
Thanks for watching.
two different pony
In some ways yes. To me the Jubilee feels like the natural progression from the 2203.
Thank you for watching!
Rectifier still sounds better
Thanks for watching!
junk
Your opinion. Sounds great to me as well as hundreds of thousands of others. Thanks for watching.
