Early morning.... Jon Nagy and me.... perfect children's early morning TV viewing. Mesmerizing...
This brings back great childhood memories.
Fond Memory watching on Saturday Morning! Never forgot that plaid shirt and great voice!
Could have been a DJ! Always loved creativity, an expression from within.
I did buy the learn to draw kit. Just turned 67!....when I watch this alone , I listen and try to go into the picture and become young once more! Where did 60 years go!
I was about 5 or 6 when I would watch Gnagy in awe. I was always envious of those gray chalks he would use to cover broad areas, when I had only pencils! Years later, when I discovered a Gnagy Learn to Draw book at my aunt & uncle's place, I promptly set about doing the Snow Scene that's probably listed to the right -> I found it few years ago, and by gosh, it looks just like demo picture! Not bad for a 10 year old.
I remember this. Thanks for sharing this great program.
I never got to meet Jon, but I feel like I grew up around him. I heard my paternal grandmother talk about him a lot. She and Jon's mother, my great aunt Mary, were sisters. I did get to meet Jon's son Steve several years ago at Jon's sister, Ida Ruth's funeral but to my discredit, I lost touch with him. It would be awesome if I could see him again and pick his brain.
I love drawing trees with emotions!
Most people that post "tutorials" on youtube should learn from this guy! Incredible what he teaches in only 9 minutes!
As a kid I watched Jon Gnagy and became an Artist.
I must have been pretty captivated because its his voice I recall most ;)
@xxAisha25xx He mentions that he is using chalk about 10 times in the video.
The one he shows at the beginning is way better than the one he ends up with

Mine did not come out so good. One of my trees looked like a growth on the moon . . . and my moon in turn looked like some cosmic . . . orifice . . . gross . . .
Très beau, merci pour vos tutoriels
