It's amazing that a major mainstream movie is highlighting America's imperialism, and France's exploitation of Africa. But much like how Avatar shows how America and other nations invade native lands and plunder their resources but it goes over the heads of most of the audience I expect the same is the case with Wakanda Forever. But $h!t is real. af.

In regards to that first scene...the Dora were ALWAYS an institution that put rules over people. That's why Ramonda had a grudge against Okoye: she led the Dora in standing by Killmonger after his coup. Ramonda took it as a personal betrayal, but to their knowledge Killmonger had won the challenge and was the rightful King, so her hands were tied.

The movie was already 2 hours and 45 minutes; they simply didn't want to go to the 3 hours (even if that was what was needed to tell the full story).
In a perfect world, Wakanda Forever is a two-part movie; 100 minutes for part one, 100 minutes for part two (need to go back and see again, but basically the point where Namor is addressing his people, ahead of the assault on Wakanda, would likely be the cut point.)
Add back the Martin Freeman scene (assuming it'd be right after the ride back with Val and the call from Queen Ramonda), add back the "Okoye to the rescue" scene (clash with the Dora and the Royal Guard, opening up the unease from Aneka) to Part one, and then add a "fallout" scene (initial reactions to the death of Queen Ramonda, diving some more into Shuri's bubbling rage at the loss of her family, add back the "Daughter of the Border scene (placing it during the interregnum after the attack), add back the "Anytime, Anywhere" scene (sealing the Shuri/Okoye pact in Haiti, with Okoye going forward with saving Ross, and Shuri the ritual), and a full crowning ceremony for M'Baku ... and still keep Toussaint in the post credit scene

@@frostbitetcc It was the storyline I was most looking forward to, and all they gave me was a skeleton. Ayo is my fave Dora Milaje, and it's clear all her lines were left on the cutting-room floor. I was looking forward to seeing her relationship with Aneka develop, but all we got was an awkward kiss on the head at the end out of nowhere.
I can understand, if you don't know anything about this storyline, that you don't know what you missed. But I feel robbed. If they had held back on this story until the TV show, they would not only get the chance to do it justice, but it would have decluttered a film whose greatest criticism from all corners is that it was trying to do too many things at once. This film should have just focused on the T'Challa/Shuri/Namor story...and without the scraps of the Midnight Angels plot, there would have been more room to flesh out Riri, too.

I think Shuri didn't ask them to bring Okoye along to Talokan because everyone on the bridge thought Okoye might have been dead at that point. The Talokanil probably didn't even want to check on her because they probably thought humans can't survive that long under water while unconscious if that's what she was. They also probably didn't pay attention to the fact that Okoye cut the water bomb in half before it exploded and that may have lessed it's impact and ended up not killing her right on the bridge.

An issue I have with that scene, in which Aneka quits, being deleted is that, that scene would have established her relationship with Ayo on screen. I felt gross with the only solid establishment being a quick kiss, that Disney could quickly edit out where needed. I'll admit I don't read the comics, as a result that scene would have established that they were in a relationship far better than a small chidding moment that comic book readers alone would recognise. I'm getting exhausted with the way Queerness is and isn't portrayed in the MCU. We got beautiful meta citicism in She-Hulk, but Nikki's sexuality was still a blink and you miss it moment.

Also, Nakia is River Tribe. So T'Challa's heir being half River Tribe may lead to further tribal political turmoil in Wakanda (which may be why they hid him in Haiti).

Wakandan is Wakandan; Bashenga's tribe is never mentioned (only that he was a warrior-shaman), but it is pretty obvious that he found his wife among the 4 Tribes that stayed under his rule, with his heirs finding their spouses from among the 4 Tribes, with that continuing on for the next 6000 years until the modern day (even though it's stressed that the Jabari are isolated, and a prior King hadn't approached in centuries, maybe a touch of Bashenga's line got to Jabariland too).
When T'Challa takes his 2nd trip to the Ancestral Plane, beyond T'Chaka (even T'Chaka's tunic had shade of Merchant Tribe), you saw shadows of the other prior Panthers in garb that transversed all the various tribes of Wakanda, sans Jabari.
Marrying a woman from the River is fine; no different that Ramonda being in garb hinting at ties to the Border.

Again I wish they had kept those scenes in the movie. I think you’re spot on when it comes to Wakanda civil war. It even happened in the comics when the people thought the crown didn’t have their best interest in mind and the midnight angels were there to fight for the people.

I truly believe Nakia would have made a better Black Panther since she was more of a warrior fighter type while Shuri is more of an intelligent character but I mean Tony was also a more intelligent character and he was also one of the best fighters so I understand the leap from an unskilled fighter gaining enhancement to become the superhero but the skills Nakia already had would have been well earned as the next Black Panther!

Yeah, several of those deleted scenes would have changed the tone at the end of the movie. I never once saw any hint of a fractured Wakanda at the end. I figured M'Bari took the role as King with Shuri's blessing and she stayed on as Black Panther. I mean, is there any law in Wakanda that says the two must be the same person?

and i have a question for you or all the people here that read comic books especially BP or Riri as new IM,....
for you that missed it or didnt noticed,...Kill Monger mentioned that Shuri's mother saved a child from the lost tribe...and i believe this is Riri Williams, Riri had no parents, she's adopted...is she from Wakanda..? or from other tribe in Wakanda nation..? or others..?

The deleted scenes of Anakin meeting Padme's family both makes their incredibly mismatched relationship make sense AND makes their seemingly deranged political system make sense. The movie actually flows as a narrative with those scenes added back in.

They should remember that things have changed where almost every one around the world, enjoy a good movie and would give a feedback on whatever platform they get a chance to. Enjoy your channel 👍👍👍

I would imagine all the deleted scenes were cut due to the already lengthy run time of the movie. It would obviously have improved the movie, the additional run time could have put the movie close to 3 hours. That’s most likely just too long for most audiences.
