Thank you Lesley for sharing your practice with us and for making yoga assessable for students who love the practice but cannot invest in expensive studio classes. I have been practicing for 6 years and love to practice with others but cannot keep up with the rising prices in urban cities. When I practice with you I get the same joy that I do in studio because you have a wonderful presence. Namaste.

Emily Lockhart Thank you so much Emily. Yes, I agree and think that it's sad that rising costs could prevent us from our practice. I'm really happy to be able to offer an alternative! I'm so glad that you like this practice! Namaste. xx

So it's been nine months since I started practicing this class everyday. You might remember my comment "NEARLY DIED" I wrote right after the first try. Now I feel absolutely comfortable doing the class, and that is great. But not only that, due to these exercises I greatly improved my running and jumping results in physical education classes. The results for 500m and 3km distance running got so much better, and yesterday we were doing jumps in length, in auturm I could do like 180-190cm jumps, but yesterday my best result was 229cm, that's some ridiculous improvement. There's no other explanation to it than simply doing this class every day for all these 9 month, well, I just want to so much THANK you for sharing your classes with us, wow, I just don't know what to say, literally, you're GREAT, keep up the good work. Once more, thank you!

Hello there. I am on a new quest in this year 2016 for stress management and time management and my word for the year is Connectivity. Connecting with myself, my emotions, my body and connecting with others and the universe as a whole. I just typed in 45 minute yoga practice and you came up. So voila, here I am. Thank you so much for providing this as the right practice for this morning. Aiming for 2 yoga classes a week and when the gym schedule doesn't fit into my schedule, I can return to you. Thank you for your calming voice and loveliness.

+HopelessDreamer I'll preface this comment by saying that I'm not a doctor or PT, but I think the best thing to do what you practice is to not go past a 90 degree angle when you're forward folding or when you're sitting up and folding forward. It won't be very much of a stretch but I think it will keep your back safe. Thank you for joining us from Norway!! :-)

I just started doing yoga consistently because of this video. I've been doing it everyday for 3 weeks and I feel so much better. Iwas so stiff all the time, my golf game was suffering from lack of being able to make a good turn and my running was getting less and less due to stiffness. Now I feel much less stiff, aches and kinks are gone. I feel like I have a path to pre desk jockey body. You are a gift my dear and I am telling all my cooperate friends that are suffering similarly.

I have been practicing for over 10 years and have been to numerous yoga studios and have watched so many videos, and she is a stand-out. Her classes are challenging, relaxing and balanced. And her voice is extremely comforting. Moreover, she has a certain guiding spirit to her classes that make you feel as if she is there in person with you. Thank you Leslie! :)

Lesley, that was an awesome class. I was afraid to try the headstand, for fear of toppling over and smashing my computer, but I can do one on the wall, and I'll try it unsupported when I'm ready. Thank you, Leslie. It's like an ongoing battle for me to find appropriate music that I really like for my classes (I realize this music would be copyright protected) I've gotten a few cd's that are meant to be used in classes , but there are always one or two songs that I can't stand on them!!

Although the stretches & poses were on point I found this whole sequence to be extremely rushed. I have been to several yoga classes and in all of them I was asked to stay in my stretch/pose for a considerable amount of time.
if you don't remain in a pose for more than 5 seconds I don't see how it will have an impact on your body -_-

I get your point but an important thing in the title is that this is vinyasa and not your regular practice. Vinyasa is the practice of connecting one pose or movement with the other by means of regular breathing.

    • @amyro
      @amyro 8 лет назад +2

agreed, I wouldn't mind the pace even but the instructor needs to give the instructions moments ahead - she is completing something as she is telling everyone to do it - and i found the instructions to be mostly clear but could be better - i think this is very important because we are in the pacticve and not staring at the screen the whole time

+Lesley, thank you so much for this class. I return to it again and again because it is a perfect session (for me anyway!). I love the pacing and the combination of the asanas. My body feels so balanced and invigorated afterward. You build up to the more intense part of the class just right, so I am always warmed up and flexible but not overly spent by the time we get there. I personally don't find the sounds or the music distracting, though I am concerned over your comment that you might have to take it down because of the music copyright issue (though that comment is from a year ago, so maybe you got it sorted out?). Anyway, I love all your classes, but this one is a real stand-out for me, and I'd be sad if it were no longer available. I know you are producing new material all the time, but truly, it might be worth it to re-do the sound track. I would pay to be able to download this video just so I can be sure to have it available!

Great workout for when I can't get to my weekly class. As a migraine sufferer often I have to miss class. Now that my computers are hooked to cast to my TV, I've found this new outlet! Its close to my YogaFit style with an Instructor that I just adore - you're the next best thing when she's not around! Thank you.

Thank you so very much for this. I struggle in my yoga practice with two children to take of all day, everyday. I was feeling burnt out today and did a youtube search and found this video. I put the kids to bed and did your video in my bedroom. It was exactly what I needed and so very accessible. Thank you, thank you! I've subscribed and look forward to doing it tomorrow night again. xoxo

After doing ballet for 12 years and having to force quit because of an injury, I picked up yoga a year ago at my local studio. Unfortunately, I am not able to go very often because I work two jobs and go to school full time. Your classes have been so helpful for my oddball schedule. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful practice with the world! Namaste!

1MissLovely1 Because I have fifteen hours for school, so I go to school in the morning, run an aftercare in the afternoon/evening and nanny full time on the weekends. It's hard, but with steady hours it's possible.

This class was a pleasant surprise! As a male athlete too often the classes are either not physical enough or are too advanced in areas that are not pertinent to me. This class gave me a descent work out, stretched my ridiculously tight shoulders and did it all without being too mushy. Thanks

Dear Lesley! I'm a newbie, I've been practising yoga at "beginner level" every day in the past month, it was the first online class that I took, and it was so relaxing (I have to say, after 25 minutes, a bit sweaty and exhausting, too). Thank you for sharing this, I already showed it to some friends. Your voice is so soothing, the soundtrack is amazing, and it's so great that you offer easier and more complex options. Thank you!

I just want to say thank you for this video. I have worked on it maybe an average of twice a week, give or take, for about two years. I have complimented it with running and in-person classes at the local studio, as well as portions of your 90 day challenge. I loved this one in particular though, because it allowed so many challenges to work on with effective modifications that allowed me to work up to the challenging poses. Through this process, I have learned to deeply appreciate the incremental progress I have seen. When I started, I committed to do as much as I could with each try, and no more (I have a tendency to try to jump in all at once and do everything before I am ready). There were many poses that I would take the modifications on or skip altogether. But at about the 6 month mark, I touched down in the splits on one leg for the first time. At about 8 months, I switched from modified to full side plank and started slowly working on the headstand at the end. Around the one year mark, I decided to add full wheel instead of sticking with bridge. After that, things slowly became better with each practice, and today, for the first time, I found that I was able to follow it from beginning to end, with the leg up in plank, with the strength in the balance of the one-leg poses, and even following through from side plank to splits and back (I usually just hold the side plank). It was truly validating to feel the culmination of the time I had spent. But at the same time, I have come this far because I enjoy every moment of this class as I am doing it, and have learned when to push and when to kindly allow my body and mind to rest. The message of gratitude helps me every day, and your calm voice and thoughtful modifications kept me coming back to this challenge over time. Thank you so much for this gift, and all that you do.

Wow! This is wonderful!! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and progress with us. I'm often asked, "How long will it take until I can practice (fill in the blank) pose?" I don't every have an answer that includes a specific time frame because everyone is different. The answer is just how you described your experience. Keep practicing and don't push. You're an inspiration! :-)
