For most of history we have only eaten two meals a day and life was way harder than it is now. Kellogg's have been a major player in pushing the narrative that we should eat there meals a day, breakfast being the most important of those meals. It's actually better for us to eat two meals a day as we have still not developed the metabolism to deal with eating three meals a day.
@@liam1666 What you have to bear in mind is that they are elite athletes. So the amount of calories they are burning will be way higher than your average person. I do a lot of cycling and if I go on a massive ride there's no way I'm eating two meals a day as an example.
I had to say goodbye to my dog last year. We used to travel all over Cornwall for walks. So many of our favourites, including this one, turn up in your videos. They bring back lovely memories of my boy (& a few tears 🥹). Thank you ❤
Great as always. I like you and many others, dont understand the UK general aversion to campers and Van life. We bring much needed tourist funds, and, like you often do, leave the area we are staying in, in better shape than when we arrived. Campers are not cheap, the time and effort to convert one, or to buy one off the shelf only to find you are then restricted basically everywhere you go. I am so glad to see you went here. I went to this pub about 9 years ago and it was very run down and dark and empty with no staff and quite spooky. I genuinely thought I wasn't coming out alive. Great to see someone took it on and spent money on it. Looks a great little site to stay on.
The height barriers are often there because of the problems with travels (gypsies ) unlike vanlifers they dump allsorts and leave it for the local councils to foot the cost of the clean up ,.great videos

Lovely lake ... I've seen glimpses of it from the A30 - you really can't see how big it is from the road! I've mostly noticed the much smaller lake to the north of the A30 (which used to be just after the dual carriageway ended on Bodmin Moor, with separate carriageways cut through the rocks so you had something to look at in the queue!) - you now swoop down into the valley and don't see as much as you are going faster since that part of the A30 has been upgraded. Like most of Cornwall, it's far prettier with a much better pace once you have left the A30! Great to see you enjoying Cornwall (in the rain!) and the wildlife it has to offer (even though they all ran away!) - hope you shake your cold off soon.
I would have parked where there's less shade on the solar panel. A few watts all day is enough to charge all your small devices and make 1 cup of coffee
At the 2minute 18second mark “If you CAN touch the top of your van then you aren’t getting in there”. You’re gonna want to do a really bad over dub of the word “can’t”. If your van was 5foot tall you could touch the top of it, and it would fit.
Skipping breakfast is one of the healthiest things you can do, and drinking vegetable oil probably isn't a good idea even if it has no added sugar, always read the ingredients guys
@@anniejones1839 people who drink things like almond milk or huel and now yfood as well, its in everything these days and it's been killing people off for years, tbh I can't believe it's still legal, go have a look at anything in the cupboard or fridge and I can guarantee you most of them will have it in them, if not vegetable oil it'll be sugar.
You could attach a plank of wood to the side of the bed to the back door to make a side board to the bed to stop the bedding getting as wet or falling down when opening the back doors. I dont think it will onscure the view.
Nice little Spot at the right price too, there needs to be more places like this, we are about to come down but unfortunately we have to come in the silly season with having young children we are limited to school hols, so I guess this place will be full then. My wife and I stayed there with our son a few years ago. I am a really fussy curry eater and I absolutely loved the food there. It’s the same people running the place by the look of it. I highly recommend a stay here!!!
It's slightly odd seeing this place through a RUclips video. I'm a local postie and my round circles colliford lake and I deliver to the Tavern. Always found the Tavern a bit eerie, especially in winter. Very odd but beautiful part of Cornwall.
Colliton lake is my usual stop off when driving down to Cornwall. You can get a T5 under the hight restrictions, but if you have a roof rack, not sure. Never anyone but the odd dog walker, or people just sat in there cars. Can't stay over night in the carparks, but would be good if you could. Never anyone swimming, which is odd. Love it for a stop off.
I was looking at this place a while ago but decided not to try as the reviews were scratching. Having seen it now I'll definitely give it a go. Might be an idea for a few "used to be bad but turned around" campsite videos, that could help new owners. Just a thought. Love your style of presentation.

Is that Tradgo gas ?- looked very dodgy packaging - love your videos, I am normally travelling too fast along A30 trying to get to my dad's in deepest dark cornwall before falling asleep after flying in to Uk on 11 hour redeye flight, to enjoy the finer things of stopping off to explore.

I spent years travelling around Australia and New Zealand in vans and cars before I bought my own when I got back to the uk. In total I rented 4 vans. Some had showers some just had a bed. I soon realised what I needed and what I didn’t. On the other hand you can start with a simple build and always sell up and do another one if you out grow it
What a lovely spot to pitch up, you struck gold on this one. I'm on their website right now, but can't see if they allow dogs, so will have to contact them. If so, I could be there within 2 hours for a weekend by the lake

Hi Edward, I didn’t make a specific video about installing the heater but I show a little bit of it on the video called “warm winter stealth Van camping”. The drone I was using on this video was the DJI mini 3 pro
The issue with campervanning/wild camping ect is a lack of education. The vast majority are considerate and leave little to no waste but the minority ruin it for everyone else. So, as you do, "they" make rules that punish everyone instead of singling out the bad ones, which just so happens to benefit the wealthy locals in these idyllic spots... To some extent it's a class issue, and I get it, if you've had to work hard your whole life to pay for a beautiful house you don't want louts scruffing the area up, but at the end of the day we are all equal and deserve to enjoy ourselves.

Im only 15 mile from Bolventor. You can stay in Jamaica in car park for a tenner I think but you need to be self sufficient as doors are locked over night. Did you try over Davidstow way?

I got it off eBay they don’t make them anymore. It’s held up by magnets. There’s other companies on eBay that make them
