i think shoto character guide should be next, you do pretty good at explaining how to techniques like pivoting and b reversing so I feel you'd do a good job at explaining shoto inputs and techniques
6:27 HOLY FREAK....... Last year i basically watched nearly every freaking guide fathomable to do the Phantom Displace & could never get it & gave up. Yet here you go, just casually putting down the simple directions of "back jump>diagonal forward b" & suddenly i'm doing it... Now i'm here wondering what other tech is this simple to acheive but is being over complicated... Either way thank you so much my man...
nice to see a detailed, informative and well explained guide of the best character in ultimate! :b thanks for the video! and of course, thank you for having me!
The ending, the way he described Zelda. Idk why, but it made me teary eyed. Thanks for this video. I learned alot and you helped me main my main a lot more better. This video was beautifully made. Every word. Simple, to the point and you made it fun to watch. Good job man. Keep up the good work!❤
i wanna main zelda, she seems kinda complicated but ur guide is def helpful in showing how rewarding she can be when u get rly good w her. def will revisit this video ty
If you practice, she becomes easy and fun to play as. She is one of those characters where if you don’t know how to play as her, you’re just going to give a hard time for both you and your opponent 😂
Thank you for this! I’ve watched so many Zelda guides, but I think this is the best in-depth guide thus far! (Most don’t cover teleport cancels, phantom displacement, or tech chases on battlefield). I loved that you also used clips from Tano; I’m constantly learning from their montages! Every time I think I’ve learned all that Zelda can offer, Tano teaches me something new ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ (Ex. I spent about a week learning how to insta-grab ledge to create pressure for my knight edge guard, but found it more consistent to use up-b off stage to ledge trump my opponent after my knight setup). Again, really amazing work on this guide and I hope it inspires people to pick up Zelda!! ✨
I main her now and had best tournament results I’ve ever had with any character this video has helped a lot and inspires me to keep getting better and improve 🙏💚
You make teleport cancels look easy I practiced them once then just stop but ima start back practicing it to enhance my zelda and to annoy my friend even more
God it was so nice to watch a Zelda do more than B button moves. This guide was really nice. I liked to play Zelda/Sheik in Melee back in the day. I'm still thinking on picking up a secondary and now I'm considering Zelda as a good option. (I still stink with everyone else though...I think I need to practice my fundamentals first) Thanks for the good guide.
5:00 especially against players with counters/reflects, I've used the phantom as bait for these and simply pop up behind or charge for grapples while they're overly focused on the phantom. Jokers especially for some reason.
This guide is great, but it didn't cover that Zelda Up-smash is an amazing anti-air kill move. When facing foxes, links, or basically anyone who spams shorthop nair, just press upsmash on engage and you win! good luck mains
Ive been struggling to find a main for a long time, because I want a defensive character that forces me to play more patiently, as my brain shuts off when I play very melee characters. For the longest time I’ve played Rosalina, but idk, she just doesnt yield any results. So I appreciate this video so I can try out options!
jab down smash is a true combo at higher percents too. really good for a low commital option at the ledge since jab 1 can be hard to punish since Zelda can choose to rapid jab or back off . jab 1>d smash is true above 65. she can also Jab 1> d tilt
magnificent video! beautiful coverage of all of her moves, thanks for posting it; i enjoyed seeing some more flashy combos, and i LOVE that you chose skyward sword music!!! 😁
Wait i see you all the time on elite. I fought your a mewtwo a couple of times. My tag is kakarot im always using a different character but zelda my main. Nice vid bro! Also your mewtwo is ridicolous 🤯🔥💪🏽
My zelda was at 2 mil from before I really got good at smash. Recently picked her up again and she's pretty boring for me to play bc I don't like her aerials, but still fun bringing her up to a higher gsp, ty 4 da guide
This is old but maybe someone still could use help on this. The teleport has an exact distance that it goes in the direction you send it, sometimes running along the ground. You must space yourself, starting perfectly in a location that goes the full distance and ends at the tip of the stage's/platform's edge. If done right, it will allow you to act out of it immediately. It is extremely unforgiving and hard to do consistently with Zelda. If you try to do it at the edge of the main stage, being a few 'pixels' too far or too close will lead to instant death. I would recommend that if you haven't tried this type of tech, pull out ol' man Ganon and practice using his Down-B on the ground ending at the main stage's edge. If done properly you'll be able to act out of it immediately (jump, attack, another Down-B) without any lag from him ending the move. It's far more forgiving since it doesn't end in free fall and needs less spacing precision. Look for marks on the ground for a starting point. If Ganon naturally flips offstage, you were too close to the edge. If he ends on the stage, you were too far. Once you get that, you'll have a much better idea of what you're looking for and can do Zelda's teleport the same way. Best wishes to anyone trying it!
Imo she feels like a easier captain falcon, love landing the sweet spot aerials. Her kit is very handy and i like how quick her fair/bair is, as i can use it like a mario nair when i am in the middle of being combo'd/attacked and get a sweet punish. Like its a mario nair i can use to escape combos/juggles but if u di right its like landing a falcon knee. Overall an underrated character that teaches you to not spam/mash attacks but to actually space and time your attacks for a sweet reward.
This guide makes Zelda seem WAY better than she is unfortunately. She is a high risk, mid reward character as there are a ton of more consistent characters with similar kill power. I love Zelda but no one is landing these footstool double read combos against real players consistently.
This was a really good video. But let’s be honest, most Zelda players will camp all game with phantom. She’s a really boring character. A guide on Roy would be fun.
Fuck me. I have been trying to do the "phamton shield" 6:26 but I just get an small protection in som cases, never stay behind its shield 🥲 Please, any tip?
Which character should I make a guide on next?
A plant guide would be cool
do bowser :3
Do a character you hate playing against next
Fox 🦊
i think shoto character guide should be next, you do pretty good at explaining how to techniques like pivoting and b reversing so I feel you'd do a good job at explaining shoto inputs and techniques
This guide is amazing. Zelda was my main for a while before I switched to Mewtwo, but I like pulling my Zelda out every now and then.
"M yeah gimme that /Zelda/ baby"
I’d this with Kirby and green ninja. Kirby being my main
I main Zelda but have no idea that she can do that crazy combos now i have some tools to perfect my game thank you so much!!

I've mained Zelda for a while and now that I'm better at the game itself, I might go over these basics to elevated her
Thank you so much! You were so in-depth and the small touches with the music and the gameplay clips throughout were helpful!
As a Yink main and a Zelda secondary, I really appreciated the editing of this guide and the insane moves that were shown.
Such a complete video! Thank you so much. I'm still waiting for a Zelda player to challenge the top guys ... and Steve
I love these guides NotBae. Would love to see more and more of them
