In this silver candy apple tutorial, I will show you how to make beautiful silver candy apples by using metallic silver food coloring. I will also show you how to make beautiful metallic silver candy apple bows. Last, I will show you how to decorate your pretty metallic silver candy apples with the silver candy apple bows by putting a dab of hot clue on the back of your candy apple bows.
I used 3-2-1 Candy apple recipe which is my favorite candy apple recipe for a very small batch of candy apples. This is also the candy apple recipe I recommend for NO! Thick candy apples for small batches.
    3 cups sugar
    2 cups water
    1 cup light corn syrup
Make sure you tilt your pot towards you before you dip your apples. Then you dip your apples inside the silver candy apple mixture. Now scrape the bottom of your metallic silver candy apple to get extra candy from the bottom. Now you have the perfect metallic silver candy apple.
I usually add everything at the beginning because I'll forget at the end. This time waited until my candy apple recipe mixture reached 280 degrees and then added my butter vanilla. Then I continued to let my silver candy apple mixture cook until it reached 300 degrees.
Here's my 3 favorite candy apple recipes for NO THICK Candy Apples you can make in ONE pot:
🍏SMALL BATCHES: Candy Apple Recipe 3-2-1 for up to 5 apples.
🍏MEDIUM BATCHES: Candy Apple Recipe 4-3-1 for up to 6-8 apples.
🍏LARGE BATCHES: Candy Apple Recipe 6-4-1 for up to 8- 24 small apples.

Good morning, can you tell why did you use the recipe 211 instead of the 611? Is it because you have less apples. I have a party coming up in a couple of weeks and I only need to 4 apples instead of 6. the want a variety of different colors for their party that consists of the colors, blue, purple and white.

You had me going back to look at my video because I don't remember using 211. I did not use 211. I used 3-2-1 Candy apple recipe which is my favorite candy apple recipe for a very small batch of candy apples. This is also the candy apple recipe I recommend for NO! Thick candy apples for small batches.
      3 cups sugar
      2 cups water

      I hope this helps you.

Hello, mines came out so translucent! I look like clear glass. But also overcook my candy to 309 it was a kind of dark. What do you think I’m doing wrong? I put the color after the boiling

Is there a particular reason why you didn’t cook your candy to 300? I don’t add white so in this case you just didn’t add enough metallic silver. Try not to let your candy burn. You got this! This is an easy fix.

I love them but how do you bag them with the bow already on?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  2 года назад +1

Great question Diane. You can do this two ways. I usually put the bows on the outside of the bag when packaging unless the customer request for the bows to be on the stick on the inside of the bag. Here's a great example of how I package with bows and tutu's: ruclips.net/video/P-MIWkOICcg/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/9Jegkbg7lKw/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/wQ70pWfDJWQ/видео.html
If a customer ask for you to put the bows on the stick in which the bows are on the inside of the bag, just make sure you bag them up loosely to avoid messing up the bow.
